Anna has to be tough on Yoh. She is not only his future wife, but also his trainer. And because of this, she cant be nice all the time and let him get by without training.
She has to be strict so that he will listen to her. If Anna was like Tamao, then Yoh would never train because she would be too soft to make him train, thus, he wouldn't win the Shaman Tournament and become Shaman King, because he's been slacking-off the entire time when he should have been training.
After the Shaman Tournament is over, and Anna and Yoh are married, she can be nicer to him, because she wont be his trainer anymore, just his wife.
And she really does love him, and he cares about her too, so I think that they are a good couple.

KamiYoruichi well i think they are a really great couple cause if anna wasnt around yoh would be fat and a lazy couch patato I agree. Thats another reason why I hate the TamxYoh pairing, she is too soft to make him train, which means that he would be a fat, lazy couch potato. And we CANT have that happening stare
