The chubby ratgirl had gone outside simply to play a bit though she had to take the usual precautions of making sure she wore her wide brimmed hat, and put on sunblock lotion. The snow had mostly melted away except for the slushy bits here and there that stubbornly stuck around on the ground which for now she evaded because she didn't feel like having to deal with soggy sneakers but that could all change when she really got involved in playing.
Miranda, however, wished for one thing and that was that she had a playmate to pal around with. She had promised Mami and Papi that she'd stay within shouting distance so that cut out any sort of roaming distance she could do. She started to venture forward to see if she could find someone that wanted to play a game or something while Mami and Papi did whatever grownups did - she was very certain whatever it was it was boring.
After walking a few feet she on the sidewalk in front of her neighbor's yard staring up at the building thoughtfully. She had never seen children come in and out of that building but then she could be wrong...For the moment she wrestled with whether she should approach the building to ask and see.

The building in question had a bit of noise coming from inside, and if one was able to listen closely enough, they might have realized it was associated to a vacuum. Surprisingly enough, as the door swung open, the vacuum noise got quite louder, though the interesting thing was the child that crawled out. Only but a toddler, the child in question was clearly male, though interestingly enough was the fur that covered his body and the tail that appeared from his back. White with dark stripes, and icy green eyes, the child crawled out with claws and teeth gleaming, almost sneaking away from the entrance to the house.
"Ussuri! You better stay in the yard!" A voice yelled from inside, the vacuum turned off suddenly before getting snapped back on. The toddler froze a moment, before glancing over his shoulder with a sheepish expression, rolling to his side to sit on his butt and set his arms on his knees. Tilting his head, and still not noticing the rat-child behind him, he waited a few more moments before jumping to his feet. Spinning around again, he rushed off into the grasses and skidded through the slush, grinning to himself as he found an easy way to be entertained.
