Kerusey watched the pride members with a blank look on his face, inwardly irritated to see so many unpure bloods running around. They were brought in by his brother, to 'flesh out' the pride, and extend the already thin pure blood of the pride. In reality, there were not that many 'unpures' but the very idea of it frustrated Kerusey.

If he were king, he would be supporting their unique lives, not stretching it out so thin that soon they would become nothing more then rogues. His brother was not fit to lead, he knew, but it was not time yet for him to make his stand. The pride was not yet at crumbling point, and he was not in the right position yet to make that move.

His mouth quirked into a tiny smirk as he watched his fellow pridal members.

Of course, there were a few redeemable pride members, which he also had his eyes on. When things changed, they would be the ways of the future. They, like he, would lead them to a better pride, to a better future. It would be perfect.

If only his brother and that foolish heir were not around. The smirk faded, back into that blank look, disguising his once more rising irritation.

Zelt'sin could always be wrapped up in one word, Odd.

There was many, many times where thats how others described her and she would even admit herself that she was odd, there was no denying it. She always found herself doing something odd, doing something different. At the moment she was doing the same thing. Climbing trees would be considered something not so odd, however that was until you notice that she was upside down. She liked to climb upside down, as of why she just really enjoyed it a lot, it was a much better way to see things, she liked seeing things from this view.

And as she was wandering this way along a tree something caught her eye. A male standing, a male that she knew pretty well. Her brother in law Kerusay. Some members of the pride were a little uncomfortable around him, some didn't like him but she didn't care. She was watching him and she hadn't seen too much however she still kept an eye on him, she was going to form her own thing about this. She paused for a moment thinking about what she was going to do. A smile grew on her face before she dropped down from the trees, close to the male before speaking out to him.

"I see you." She said in her normal happy and slightly sly voice. A grin grew on her face, before she flopped down on her haunches looking around to see what he was looking at before she spoke again. "What are you p to dear, Kerusay." She questioned curiously, looking around before flicking her tail behind her and starting forward.

Kerusey gave a small start - understandable as he did not expect a lion to fall from a nearby tree, much less his brother's mate who was basically their queen. He glanced back at her, his face still as blank, though he glanced over her. He had always liked Zelt'sin. Though she was not pure white, or even mostly white, she was a rather beautiful female, and had his brother not laid claim to her - like everything else Kerusey had wanted- he may have sought her for himself, but it was not to be. Anyone who chose his brother over him clearly did not see his worth.

"I see you," Kerusey said cooly, returning the greeting and refocusing his gaze on the pride. As if a lioness had no just fallen from a tree and was now making conversation with him. "Merely pride watching, dear sister," he said, stressing her title to him in a amused fashion, though his amusement laid more darkly then normal joy.

"Were you out for a climb?" He asked, already knowing the answer yes, but one must at least attempt to look like one cares about others. He glanced back at Zelt, wondering why she always looked so darn...happy about everything.

Zelt shifted herself moving by his side and flopping on his haunches. She was most of the way formal with this stuff but she never saw a reason to be completely uptight with these things, she never was raised like that she always just wanted to relax she didn't like it when others were uptight too she was pretty happy seeing the male pretty relaxed about all of this, it made her much happier. She paused for a moment thinking as she did before looking at him. She was glad to see him not uptight however she wasn't very phased by his comments, not at all.

"Pride watching always turns out interesting." She mused thoughtfully, pride watching was one of her favorite things to do herself, she always liked to pride watch and she found herself doing that often when she wasn't doing pridal things or spending time with her mate.

She thought again before looking at him again before chuckling slightly flicking her hair out of her eyes. "I was... climbing, just for a little bit I enjoy climbing for a while." She nodded at the idea once again before sitting back a little more. Something about him seemed off but she really didn't care she was going to talk to him wether he liked it or not.

Kerusey watched her from the corner of his eye, faintly amused by her informal manner. It was not befitting to a Queen at all, but it was still amusing. He inclined his head to her at her comment of pride watching, but offered no more conversation on that topic. He was not one for making general chit-chat for the purposes of talking, which made socialising hard for him most of the time, as he simply did not enjoy small talk.

"I hope you did not injure yourself?" Kerusey remarked somewhat dryly when she spoke of going for her climb. He had never understood that fascination with trees. It was simply ridiculous.

He had climbed a tree trunk or two, just to gain a birds-eye view of the pride, but never for enjoyment. It was only ever done out of necessity.

Zelt looked at him with a curious look on her face before shaking his head a few times, a little annoyed that she even asked that question. "Nope!" She knew that she had never hurt herself, with the pride such a dense forest she was born and raised in this pride only barely stepping foot out of the borders occasionally, how could she possibly ever get hurt in anyway.

But the annoyance passed quickly as she moved on, she was never one to be annoyed that often or for that matter for to long. She looked at him before speaking again sitting up some before slinking over in front of him. "What have you been up to? I haven't seen you too much." She was really curious on what he had been doing. that was for sure she knew that she didn't like too many times where hse iddn't know where some one was in the pride, she liked keeping track of all of the members and she liked to know what was going on at all times and when she didn't know where some one was or for that matter when something was going on it upset her some. But she was going to get answers.

"I mean, some of my patrols I just don't run into you often and I normally run into everyone at least once a week." She spoke with her tonestill very curious, she wanted to know these things because she felt like it was part of her job as being the queen in the pride.

Kerusey nodded, not really caring too much if she had injured herself. He was not one to shed blood, but an injured queen might be easier to drive out, or manipulate to what he wanted. He was slightly regretful that she hadn't hurt herself now, he thought with an inward sigh.

He was watching the pride again when she slunk in front of him, distracting him and blocking his view. "I have been busy, 'sister'," Kerusey responded coolly, keeping his irritation from his face. He didn't need her snooping around, trying to figure out what he had been up to. To be honest, although he was an adviser, he rarely 'advised' his brother, spending most of his time amongst the people, scouting for people who were hard-done by in the pride, people who might join his cause.

"I blend in with the crowd quite easily," he excused the fact she did not see him often. "You see many people in a day, so it is easy to forget a common face." He was not 'common', but he did blend in well, as he often tried to remove himself from her path when she did patrol, having no desire to talk to the female who had taken his brother as a mate.

Her claws dug into the ground for a moment as he called her sister again, some thing about it was irritating and she wasn't so sure but she knew it was making her angry. She once again cooled down before she shrugged arching a brow at him. Before shrugging it off. "We all are a little busy." She mused out loud then turned toward the lion again, she flicked her tail behind her once again before she started talking. "Being always busy isn't very good though, you need time to do other things too." she thought out loud, that was something that she thought was pretty true, she like being busy but at the same time she made sure to take her time and spend some time not working.

"No you don't." She said bluntly shaking her head before sitting back a little more, "I know your face and it's not one that I'll easily miss." she normally wasn't that blunt but she was starting to get more and more irritated with his responses, it was almost as if it was on purpose, she wasn't too sure of what it was but it was annoying her.

she paused as she looked at him again before shaking her head. "Well, then you must be seeing different things then If you follow different paths. Is there anything interesting that you've seen recently?" She asked curiously as she looked at him before laughing again quietly. she really was curious, wanting to know what he had to say.

Kerusey shot her an odd look. Do other things? Other than spend the appropriate amount of time with his 'mate', Satomi, and work with the other pride members, Kerusey did nothing else. Was he supposed to have a hobby or something? It was a ridiculous idea, and he did not even think to seek out one, simply because he was supposed to. He enjoyed working in the underbelly of the pride, looking for weak spots. Perhaps that was his 'hobby'. "Like climbing trees?" He asked, in a sweet tone.

He smirked a little at her blunt response. Was he...irritating her? What a delightful thought, he almost wanted to laugh. He was actually irritating her by being nice and humble. "Is that a compliment, 'sister'?" He asked, unable to contain the slight smirk. His face was not one easily missed? Did that mean he was unique? He didn't care, but he was enjoying poking at her - gently, so she could not accuse him of treason or other dastardly acts against the royal family.

"Nothing of real note," Kerusey said calmly, flicking his gaze away from her to scan the pride. "The pride is...growing rather steadily though." Perhaps 'flourishing' was the right word, but Kerusey did not believe the pride could truly flourish with unpure blood tainting it so thoroughly.

Zelt thought for a moment about what she said and his answer to it. She looked over at him and nodded and then smiled slightly. "Yes." She chuckled quietly then looked at him again. "I guess that is something that you could do but, just something that you can do to enjoy yourself and spend some time thinking." She flicked her tail again then looked at him blinking some, she wasn't even too sure of what to do with him, he was really a curious thing himself. She wasn't the only strange one in the pride apparently.

She paused before nodding with a shrug. "I guess that is one way to look at it. Yes," she paused again taking a moment to think before speaking again. "I guess you could take that as a compliment if you would like." She stood up before moving to his side again, flicking her tail once again before looking forward toward the pride.

There was a good amount of members in the pride now, they were even growing past before the attack however it didn't seem like to bad of a thing, there were a lot of pride memebers around and it was good to have the back up. "It is." She stated simply, before her father died she had heard various times that it should be considered to let the pride numbers grow some. She was acting on it though she liked the idea of more members, more protection in the long run, everything had seemed to be going well on top of that.

Kerusey tilted his head at her, that faint smirk still lingering around his mouth. "You say that as if thinking is something you cannot do while doing your regular tasks, 'sister', do you not think while patrolling, or while doing your other tasks?" He did not list any others of her job, making a slight snide comment that perhaps patrolling was all she did, but he did not say it outright, hiding it behind the faint smirk that was mostly a smile.

"I am so rarely compliment, I think I will take it as such, thank you kind 'sister'," he said in a somber tone that had him snickering inwardly. Playing his part was so fun, and he just knew that Zelt did not buy it, which was perhaps why he was laying it on so thickly? What else did he have for 'fun' around here, anyway.

"You and my brother have done a wonderful job," he remarked to her, gazing cooly out at the pride. At ruining the pride.. "What is next on the agenda?" He asked. Allowing rogue murderers to run rampant and kill out the last of the full bloods? "Are you two planning anything big for the pride?"

Zelt shook her head growing in annoyance. He really was irritating her and she wasn't too sure how much more she could deal with it. She was normally very good with controlling herself there were very few times where she lost her temper and this was beginning to be one of those times. She wasn't about to let herself lose control and get mad in front of this male. She decided it was getting close to her ending this conversation and thats all to it. "of course you can think while you do those jobs." She put on her best spirited smile before shaking her head and laughing again. "Well, I mean just really time to relax." She nodded again trying to concrete in what she was saying.

"Well then I'm glad you can enjoy a compliment occasionally, she stood up a little straightener her paws thinking as she did It was getting close to a moment where she could wander away, she wasn't about to just wander away with out saying goodbye That would just be rude. She was close to ending it until he started to ask questions about the job and what they had planned next.

She was a little more annoyed at his questions, it wasn't really what she wanted him to ask, she just wanted to wander away and find something else to do. "Nothing really completely planned at the moment. e're really just taking it one day at a time." She commented truthfully, she didn't really like thinking really far into the future and planning that way because she felt if you planned things like that then you wouldn't be able to put enough attention into things that were going on at the moment. She looked behind her for a moment before speaking again. "I think I'm going to head out and go talk to some cub-sitters and check on the cubs." She nodded at the idea with a smile on her face.

He took delight in her annoyance, despite the fact she was smiling and acting so cheerful. Perhaps that was just how she reacted to annoyances? Either way, it was quite amusing. He nodded as she spoke, deciding not to push her too far, as she could still complain to his brother and he did not wish for his brother to know what he was planning - not yet, at least. It wasn't time.

"Ah," he mused as she mentioned her new decision, rising to his feet respectfully, "always thinking of the next generation, 'sister'," he remarked, as if it was a great skill. "Well, may Eywa watch over you, 'Sister', and thank you for the...lovely conversation."

Kerusey did not bother to hide his annoyance with how the pride was run to most people, but it was such fun to play with those with high ranks, because it created such confusion - which he would later use, he mused. Plus, Zelt'sin, although she would have made the perfect trophy for himself, had chosen his brother, and therefore, was of no longer interest to him, except for entertainment to pass away some boring moments.

He inclined his head to her, before returning his gaze to the rest of the pride. He would not leave his spot, as he had been there before she arrived, and it was merely a matter of pride, that he not retreat and that she should leave instead of him.

Zelt smiled at him with a bigger smile on her face, the conversation was almost over and that made her pretty happy. Zelt normally didn't lieke it when she had to say goodbye to some one else but for once she was excited she got to go do something that didn't annoy her. So because of that she was already cheering up.

She returned a bit of a nod back to her mate's brother before she turned away. She was still a little suspicious of him that was one thing for sure, she was calming down though and she knew for a moment that she could calm down and not worry about it at the second.
