AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORMName: Aurel Nicknames: N/A Gender: Male Age: Young. (602, very young for his race, appearance of about 16-17)
Faction/Race Demon - Lesovik
Personality/Quirks/Etc: Aurel has a knack for finding things that people have lost. He also has this horrible habit of causing mischief wherever he goes and has a fondness for tickling. He likes leading people off to get lost and finds watching them trying to get back hilarious. Most of all, he likes screwing with people's heads - be it taking the form of a talking mushroom or shrinking himself to near invisibility.
There's also the small problem of being unable to reign in his emotions in order to save another's. If he's angry, he's going to portray anger to whoever he's talking to and not worry about if he's being rude or niceties. If he's happy, he's going to show it to you. In this sense, Aurel is an open book. Censorship is not a concept that he has ever been aware of.
On the other side of that, he's very easily distracted and cannot focus on more than a few things at a time. If he's distracted by something, he will temporarily abandon his emotions to focus on the source of his distraction. His voice generally reflects his emotions - becoming more gravel when upset and more light, airy and musical toward the happy or neutral side
Balance is a concept that Aurel holds to strongly. He doesn't believe in 'good and evil' so much as choice and free will. There would be no bad without good, and vice versa and the only 'evil', if there is evil, is not learning from your mistakes. Because of this, he won't judge someone based on what actions others would perceive as evil. The only thing unacceptable in his eyes is destruction of the natural world. As long as you don't sit there destroying nature in front of him, deliberately, then he's probably not going to have a problem with you. There ARE exceptions to this rule, however.
When Aurel finds someone or something that he thinks of as 'his' he becomes very territorial and possessive over that place or thing. He will do his damnedest to guard and protect it - whether it wants that protection or not. Think of him as a giant over-sized flora covered puppy in this regard. He's loyal, protective, and heaven forbid you try to harm what he sees as his.
Leshys are not generally malice filled creatures - They are pranksters and mischievous buggers but they don't do it out of malice. However, an angry Lesovik isn't necessarily something that you want to come across. Aurel is no exception. Expect him to be doubly bad if another Leshy ever enters the same relative area. Territory battles all the way.
Aurel tends to be mildly socially retarded. This happens when you grow up with nothing but a crotchety old human-hating elder and trees for friends. He doesn't know customs of society, for the most part, and tends to speak kind of formally when he's unsure. Unfortunately, he also doesn't know when a joke is being taken too far - to him, there isn't a 'too far' when it comes to jokes. Or anything, really. Personal bubble? What's that? Why can't he pet your hair if it looks like a cat? He also takes things very literally a lot of the time and many things need to be explained to him. Praise Jack that Aurel is quick to pick things up, but it'll be a while before he's ever really able to function solo in a social situation.
Hobbies: Gardening - If it's not obvious, Aurel kind of likes plants. Actually, like is an understatement. The boy will sit there and sing to dying grass or hay and be sad for it. If he has a little patch of earth to himself (He will someday have a forest, damn you!) he'll be the happiest creature ever. Aurel will sit there for hours (or days if Davey doesn't drag him off) just working on flowers and planting...God help the poor soul who tramples through HIS flower bed.
Practical Jokes - Best thing ever. He loves to play pranks on people, loves to screw with their heads, and if he has a chance he's going to take it. Aurel will do just about anything (dangerous or not) in the name of a good practical joke.
Meeting new people - Now, this generally wouldn't be considered a hobby except that Aurel will go out of his way to meet you. If you are new and you look/say/do something interesting, he will be there. Socially awkward as hell and making a fool out of himself, but he WILL meet you.
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Aurel, like many Leshy, thought of only his forest. To him, there was nothing outside of it. His Elder, however, knew there was a world far beyond the forests. He always expressed this to Aurel through the time they were together and when he returned to the earth, Aurel decided to seek it out. To Aurel, the Academy offers insight to this world beyond the forest that his elder was so interested in.
FEAR: Moss grows over an opponent, slowing their movements and making them lethargic. This acts like a Damage Over Time spell which culminates in the opponent being frozen completely. The effect lasts no more than 15 seconds. It is stronger in a damper environment, and weaker near fire or heat.
Natural Ability: Trickster: Aurel's natural ability revolves around manipulating himself and what people see. He can change his size, his voice, and his shape. If he appears as another humanoid form, his shoes will always be on backward and his eyes will glow. If he is attempting to manipulate the environment he can only make his immediate surrounding area look like a place he has physically been. This is a temporary effect, and does not change things physically.
Physical Description: Eye Colour: Bright green Hair Colour/Style: Short up front, bangs curling and framing his face - long wisps of hair growing down past to his rear. His hair is different shades of brown, green and orange-ish and seems to be made of moss. Skin Colour: Pale, hardly noticeable wood grain pattern in skin. Clothing Style/Colours: Rough woven trousers and a bow and arrow. That's about it. Extra: Small leafy branches that seem to grow out of his shoulder blades much like wings would; antelope horns growing from his temples; mossy hair. References: [x] Note: Bow and Arrow are normal items he uses for hunting food. They are not used as a weapon and not involved in his FEAR ability <3

Long winded questionnaire form that I used to help develop the lad below. Warning: Teal Deer?
Quick Stats
Full name of Character: Aurel Race: Lesovik Sexual Preference: Neutral Significant Other: None Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Physical Appearances
Age: 602 How old they appear: 16-17 Years Eye Color: Bright green Hair color length and style: Short up front, bangs curling and framing his face - long wisps of hair growing down past to his rear. His hair is different shades of brown, green and orange-ish and seems to be made of moss. Height: 6'0'' Type of body (build): Obviously masculine, but not overly so. Skin tone and type: Pale Distinguishing marks: None Predominant feature: Small leafy branches that seem to grow out of his shoulder blades much like wings would; antelope horns growing from his temples; mossy hair.
The Basics
1. What is your full name? The only name I know is Aurel.
2. Where and when were you born? I was born in a forest - not sure where it was - six hundred and two years ago. Though you cannot really call it born. I simply appeared.
3. Who are/were your parents? (Know their names, occupations, personalities, etc.) I do not have parents. I was created by the forest.
4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like? I do not think so. Unless you count the other trees and animals.
5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Halloween Town - By myself, though hoping to be enrolled in the academy.
6. What is your occupation? I am an excellent hunter and tracker.
7. Write a full physical description of yourself. You might want to consider factors such as: height, race, hair and eye color, style of dress, and any tattoos, scars, or distinguishing marks. The last time I looked into a mirror I was shown a tall man with very pale, mostly unblemished skin. There are faint markings of wood grain in my skin, but they are barely noticeable. There are small branches that come from my shoulders and they flower depending on the season as far as I can tell. I have antelope horns and moss for hair. I also have very bright green eyes but they change to gold or hazel from time to time. I am mostly naked except for a pair of rough woven trousers and my bow and arrow.
8. To which social class do you belong? What is a social class?
9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses? I am very physically weak against fire and too much water makes me very ill as well. I cannot bide well without sun and will begin to wilt during winter. My branches are delicate and I feel pain if pieces of them break off. I do not have...allergies.
10. Are you right or left-handed? I can use both very well.
11. What does your voice sound like? I have never thought about it. I guess it is like the wind...It changes depending on the force I put into it.
12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently? This is another thing that I have not quite kept track of or thought of.
13. What do you have in your pockets? I do not have pockets. But my quiver holds arrows.
14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics? I do not know. I do not cast a shadow..?
Growing Up
15. How would you describe your childhood in general? If you mean my youth - I am still in it. We are almost eternal and so our ages are very relative. I would say that it has been interesting so far. I am not nearly as old as some of the Elders that I have come across. My existence has been happy. I have my plants and animals and that is all I need, I think.
16. What is your earliest memory? Opening my eyes to find an Elder standing over me - he had a very long, mossy beard that housed several interesting species of small animals and insects and seemed displeased that I had appeared in his grove.
17. How much schooling have you had? None, as of yet.
18. Did you enjoy school? I would not know.
19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities? The young Leshy are usually taught by the Elder that finds them. I was no different. My Elder taught me the ways of being a Leshy. He was a good man before he returned to the ground.
20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them. My Elder never told me his name. I only referred to him as Elder. But he was good at making sure that I knew what I needed to know to survive and things that were not good for survival but he thought were funny anyway. He was grumpy and tricky and did not like humans at all. He said they were going to destroy us. Many Leshy led people into forests to let them get lost or played tricks on them but Elder said I must stay away from them. I have not been to the human world. I can only assume he's right.
21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family? Elder and I got along okay when I was doing things right.
22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? I do not understand the question. Grow...up?
23. As a child, what were your favorite activities? I liked shape shifting. I still do, actually!
24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display? Uh...I don't know?
25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like? I cannot say. I don't remember having any friends. Elder was protective.
26. When and with whom was your first kiss? I have not found a mate bond yet.
27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity? I have not found a mate bond yet.
28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today. There is a rumor that the first Leshy was the child of a human and a demon. I do not know if it was true but I do not think it is. We are not born. We simply...appear in a forest that calls to us, has need for us, when an Elder is going to return to the ground so we can take their place as guardian. Sometimes the forest does not need a protector and another forest calls to us who needs us more.
Past Influences
29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far? The passing of my Elder. He was a very good Leshy, if you can call Leshy good to begin with. He did his job well and when he passed he made me leader of the forest. I felt much pride that he thought I was good enough of a Leshy to take his place.
30. Who has had the most influence on you? Elder...Or he would like to think. Please do not tell Elder but the Earth Mother herself is much more influential to me.
31. What do you consider your greatest achievement? I think this ties in with the most important event of my life.
32. What is your greatest regret? What are regrets but things left undone by your own choice? I choose to have no regrets.
33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done? I do not believe there is evil. I do believe there is choice and creatures who make the wrong ones. But that is in everyone and is not evil. It is a mistake. If there is evil, it is not feeling sorry for your mistakes. Not learning from them.
34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind? No.
35. When was the time you were the most frightened? When I was first learning how to shapeshift I got stuck at the tiny size of an inch tall for three days. I was terrified I would never be big again.
36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you? I do not choose to be embarrassed.
37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why? This would mean I had a regret, yes?
38. What is your best memory? I have many fond memories. It would be too difficult to choose one of them to smile brighter upon.
39. What is your worst memory? The loneliness I felt once Elder passed. For a small time I could not feel the earth because my grief was so great. I am ashamed to admit that I momentarily forgot the cycle that must continue through no matter what. Elder would be disappointed.
Beliefs and Opinions
40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic? I think I am a bit of an optimist.
41. What is your greatest fear? Fire.
42. What are your religious views? I believe in life. I believe in the cycle of life and death that will spin long after the eldest Elder is gone. I believe that if we are lucky some day we will be blessed enough to live again if the Great Mother so wills it.
43. What are your political views? I do not know what politics are.
44. What are your views on sex? It is something that is natural to all species and is not something to be ashamed of. But I do not have a mate bond and I do not think that I should do so without one.
45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable? So many people and creatures will say that they cannot kill. Everyone has the primal capability of killing. It is deeply ingrained in us to fight and kill the weaker species. It is a fact that if nobody did the races would die out because there is no culling. I am able to kill. I have killed in the name of protection. You do what you must for your survival and the survival of what you protect. Killing with no purpose is not something I could personally do.
46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do? Humans are not evil - but they are destructive. To destroy the Earth is the worst thing one can do in my eyes.
47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love? Yes. There were not enough souls forged to fill the vessels that we have. They had to be cleaved in half in order for there to be enough. We were scattered through the worlds - becoming many different things. The other half of our soul is there. But many never find them in one or two lives. Sometimes it is never found or takes many lives.
48. What do you believe makes a successful life? Being content in yourself.
49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings (i.e. do you hide your true self from others, and in what way)? I am very honest.
50. Do you have any biases or prejudices? Humans. I do not like them.
51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it? I have not been presented with options that I would refuse to do in the last six hundred years. I cannot account for every circumstance...so I will have to say no, there isn't something I would refuse to do. To do that would be blocking opportunity that may change your life for the better.
52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for (or otherwise go to extremes for)? I would die for my forest if I had to.
Relationships With Others
53. In general, how do you treat others (politely, rudely, by keeping them at a distance, etc.)? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how? My social skills are not all that wonderful. I can't answer this question honestly.
54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why? I do not have important people in my life.
55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why? Please refer to the question before this.
56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people. I would like friends, though right now the Earth is my only one.
57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person. No.
58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened. No, I have not found one that I would take as my mate.
59. What do you look for in a potential lover? I have never really thought about it if I am honest. I suppose...A love of life, a healthy dose of mischief, a respect for nature. A good sense of humor - Someone who can accept my own odd view on things...Who can appreciate the smell of the air after the rain, the song of the wind in the trees, and the rumbling pulse of water.
60. How close are you to your family? I was close to Elder, as I have said many times.
61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not? No.
62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help? The Earth Mother as I always have.
63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why? I do not need protection. I am the protector.
64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you? Nobody.
65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why? I do not despise anyone. I do not know anyone enough to say so. It is a wasted emotion, anyway.
66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict? I am not afraid of conflict.
67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations? I suppose I would be a follower unless it came to my own land.
68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not? I tend to shy away from groups. They make me nervous...
69. Do you care what others think of you? Not particularly, no.
Likes and Dislikes
70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes? Meditation, I find, is one of my favorite past times. I enjoy conversing with nature - taking walks amongst the trees and spending time with our Earth Mother. I like playing tricks on others, too.
71. What is your most treasured possession? I own nothing.
72. What is your favorite color? I do not have one.
73. What is your favorite food? I thrive on sunlight during the summer and spring months - though venison and other game meats are a treat. During the Autumn and Winter months I tend to get my energy from fruits and vegetables. I particularly like squash and raspberries.
74. What, if anything, do you like to read? I do not know how to read.
75. What is your idea of good entertainment (consider music, movies, art, etc.)? Playing tricks on people, leading them into places only to make them lose their way in my forest for hours - but I always let them go.
76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit? No.
77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night? Saturday?
78. What makes you laugh? Life.
79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you? Disrespect of our environment offends me and makes me feel sorry for those people who do. But not much shocks me. I tend to take things in a passive way...
80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself? There are infinite possibilities to keep me from being bored.
81. How do you deal with stress? Curling up in my forest and connecting to the Earth for comfort.
82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan? Spontaneous. It is boring otherwise.
83. What are your pet peeves? What is a pet peeve? Do they make good companions?
Self Images & Misc
84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted? I do not have a set routine.
85. What is your greatest strength as a person? I do not know...I cannot choose a trait that I find particularly strong.
86. What is your greatest weakness? I am severely weakened against fire - and if I have too much water, I can definitely get sick.
87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be? Nothing. I am content with who I am.
88. Are you generally introverted or extroverted? Introverted.
89. Are you generally organized or messy? Messy.
90. Name three things you consider yourself to be very good at, and three things you consider yourself to be very bad at. I am good at portraying emotions, protecting things I care about, and magic. I am not so good at being tactful, multitasking, and connecting to people.
91. Do you like yourself? I believe I already said that I am content within myself.
92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer (or doing the strange and heroic things that RPG characters do)? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public? (If so, detail both sets of reasons...) ...What?
93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime? I do not have a set goal. So long as I continue to do my duty, I will be happy. Tricking people and scaring them is fun too, though.
94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? Five years is not much. I suppose I will be right where I am now...?
95. If you could choose, how would you want to die? I do not know.
96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left. I would hope that my Apprentice was good enough to take over my job. I would prepare him the best I could, impart my last bits of wisdom, and quietly return to the Earth where I am meant to be.
97. What is the one thing for which you would most like to be remembered after your death? I do not expect I will be remembered. I do not think I will have done anything worth remembering me for.
98. What three words best describe your personality? I do not know. You tell me?

XD Tickling~! ... I'm no expert on criting so forgive =w=; but I do HATE being tickled... and the thought of being tickled to death is quite effective to me...so... >>;;; It's some kind of false-euphoric death?... laughter of PAIN. Maybe something happens to his hands D: Like he channels FEAR into them for some super-speedy tickling action? ... or clawing tickles >>;;;
Also, Levi would so accept his aid in the case of her candy corn plants once on campus ^^

Oooh that's a good idea. I like that.
I also have an idea to try and incorporate:
"The Leshy can be cruel to those who abuse the forest or the wild creatures, or can be playfully malicious to those who just wander blindly into Leshy territory. It is often said that the Leshy is that which you can feel watching you in the woods, but never manage to see. That tingle up the spine and the raising of the hairs on the nap of the neck are sure signs of a Leshy being near-by. The Leshy's most common activity is to cause travelers to become lost in the forest. In the winter a Leshy will brush away the footprints of travelers in the snow, so that they can not retrace their steps. During other times of the year they use magick to make every tree and landmark look the same."
Maybe his fear is DISORIENT - Which can be done by the above or by tickling idk if that'd really be remotely affective though D: SO MANY IDEAS.
(Aurel would so totally help XD)

hmmm...perhaps Aurels fear power uses some sort of energy or illusion based trick that makes someone think/feel like they are being tickled, and this disorients them for a minute or so?

"I dare you to touch it."
"No you touch it first."
"I'll touch it if you touch it first."
"I'm not touching it unless you touch it first and then I'll touch it first."
The lightly snoring secretary was entirely oblivious to the two cleaning gnomes. They were currently eye-ing a rather impressive mound of papers, one that stacked the height of at least three gnomes.
"Okay okay, I'll do it," grumbled Cleaning Gnome 1, leaning over, giving the mound a light poke. The mound rustled, swayed dangerously, and then nothing. "See, nothing to i-"
- Everything exploded in a burst of white paper. Several students also miraculously were enrolled that very day.

Since you only wanted comments on Aurel's FEAR, (though I am curious on who he played pranks on when he was younger since he only lived with trees and his cranky Elder XD) maybe the "damage over time" can be a third year FEAR and instead of specific time-based like 15 seconds, it's "post/turn" based? Maybe as a first year, the moss can just trip the opponent (since they can be slippery) or if not moss then some other plant? Or maybe the type of plant he can grow/summon gets stronger/bigger/more dangerous?
Don't know how much help this was though x.x

He was in a forest, but there were those who would just wander into it. While he never interacted with them or formed friendships, there were opportunities of plenty to prank the crap out of people. XD It's a Leshy's right of passage.
Re: FEAR I was actually hoping his later FEAR would culminate in some kind of disorienting thing as he learned more things as Leshy are notorious for changing surroundings and making people think they're somewhere they're not. IDK if that sounds okay or not though xD
