It was Spiderday, a day where she was free from school, and could visit the maul. While it was boring to go alone, she was desperately in need of a dress for the upcoming party, and rather than make one herself (there was simply not enough time!), Lizzy had decided to get it from one of the shops in the maul - besides, she saw something that looked like it might suit the occasion the last time she was there.

Having gotten distracted, however, the Demoness was attracted to the window display of a shop with several skelevision showing different images - some appear to be rather JOYful, and she cringed at the bright and colorful images flashing across the screen, recalling her Christmas raid experiences... The graphics made her rather sick. Others, however, seemed rather tamed in comparison and she found herself admiring the high level of detail put into the graphics, although she had no idea what the characters in the skelevision were going on about.

She eyed the entrance of the shop with wary eyes, chewing nervously on her lower lip; her mother had told her to stay away from these 'video games'... Apparently, they are harmful to the growing Demon. How, she did not know, but... A peek at the different games wouldn't hurt, right? Her friends had allowed her to play on their ScareStation 3 once, and she had rather enjoyed the experience!

She hesitated, choosing to stand at the side of the entrance, peeking in.

Not long ago, Jericho had finally gotten his Skelevision in his room. With it and his gaming system hooked up, he felt it was prime time to get some new titles for himself to celebrate. He had no homework that needed to be dealt with, so that Spiderday seemed as good of a day as any to head on to the maul and visit the game store.

Coming up to his destination, he spotted a demoness standing outside. She looked a little hesitant on whether or not she wanted to enter. This made him wonder if something was going on inside. The dragon paused near her, peeking around the demon to look into the store. There appeared to be nothing out of the ordinary going on here.

"The place isn't going to bite you or anything, you know," he said to her while continuing to look inside.

He really didn't see anything out of the ordinary.

She jumped at the voice, not noticing the boil come up near up since she was staring at the inside of the store intensely - in fact, she could almost stare a hole into the display case holding the latest games. Looking up, she frowned a little at how familiar the boil looked, and upon seeing his skull pin, came to the conclusion that it was probably due to the fact that they attended the same school. She blushed at his comment, looking away as she replied in a rather soft voice, "A-ah... Its just that... W-well..."

Looking back into the store wistfully, she continued in a hushed whisper, as if she was afraid of anyone else knowing, "I've never really been allowed to play with video games." She stopped herself from saying that they were banned in her house, since that does make her sound like a sort of weird hermit person - which she wasn't!

Jericho had just been about to enter the store himself, but the demon girl's words caught his attention. He couldn't help but furrow his brow at them too.

"You weren't allowed to play video games?" he repeated with a frown. That must have sucked, and it made him wonder if her parents were extremely strict or something along those lines. He had heard of some parents not wanting to expose their children to really cute things and the like.

"Maybe it's about time that's changed," he suggested. Of course, she may not really enjoy the games anyway, but she wouldn't know unless she's played them first.

"I'm Jericho, by the way."

"Well, there weren't allowed in the house, but I had played... A few... At a friend's place." She nodded slowly, wondering if he was frowning at her or at her 'deprived childhood'. She perked up at the suggestion, however, and smiled, nodding quickly as she casted another glance at the displays in the store, inwardly heaving a sigh of relief that he didn't find her weird or anything along that line.

"I'm Lizzy," Her attention returned to the boil, before she pointed at the really colorful and bright game showing on one of the skelevision, "That game... It reminds me of, uh, you know... Christmas town." She was sure that Jericho was there during the raid; at least, she was sure she had seen him during that misadventure.

Playing a few at a friend's place was a start in the very least. Still, it couldn't hurt to help broaden her horizons a little here in the world of gaming. A part of Jericho still preferred certain table top games to video games in general, but he still enjoyed them quite a bit.

Nodding to her as she gave her name, the dragon looked over to the game she pointed at, grimacing at the mention of Christmas town.

"Yeah. A lot of the more 'mature' titles have more JOYish or cutesy things in them. But there are plenty of games that don't have those things to them as well if that's a little too intense for you. There's a lot of variety really," he replied before finally stepping into the store. While he was willing to help out Lizzy here, he still wanted to scout out what games he wanted to bring home today at the same time.

"I actually don't think I can stare at that thing for too long without having nightmares about Christmas town," She admitted softly; in fact, she was trying to avoid staring at the screen now, although it did sort of attract her. Of course, thinking back, the Christmas Raid wasn't all that bad, but she had never been in a real fight like that before!

She could only hope that it won't be a reoccurring trend in this school, to send their students on wild adventures.

Following Jericho into the store, she felt a small (rather sad) sense of accomplishment; it was the first time she was stepping into a video game store! She looked like a kid in a candy store, wide-eyed as she looked at the different displays. She never knew there were so many to choose from; she had only ever heard of the more "well-known" titles!

"Um, well, what do you normally play?"

"Eh. Those sorts of games aren't for everyone," he shrugged while looking around. Even he had a little trouble playing things like Carol Hill or Joy Space at times without getting a little freaked out. Speaking of that, it had a sequel recently didn't it? Perhaps he should look into it while he was here.

"Me? I tend to play action, fighters, rpg's, or shooters," he replied. Jericho enjoyed his share of both single player and competitive games. He loved going head to head against others, but he didn't always have someone else to play with after all.

"Do you have any idea of what you'd like to play? The store might have a demo of it," he asked while looking over a wall that listed some upcoming and new releases. While he was browsing, he wasn't really aware of Lizzy's awe of the place. She just looked like she was doing more or less the same as him out of the corner of his eyes.

"RPGs?" She perked up, scooting over to his side; now that the initial awe was starting to fade, she could not help but feel awkward standing by herself (sort of) in a video game store, "What are those?" While the rest of the games he talked about spoke for themselves regarding their game play, this 'RPG' sounded like the most interesting out of the four. Besides, she was sure that she had heard that term before in the past, from someone.

"What's that called... Uh, I think when I was checking the school clubs out, there was this 'D&H' club," She nodded with a slight frown, rubbing her chin, "I'm pretty sure someone called it an 'RPG' too..." Whatever that means, anyway; the way she looked at Jericho pretty much explained her lack of understanding - or rather, she was waiting for an explanation from the boil.

With a pause, Jericho glanced back when Lizzy seemed to have a moment of confusion with his terminology.

"It stands for 'role playing game'," he started with a nod, "D&H is a pretty good example of a non-video game of the type. Basically you create a character and kind of take on their role in that game."

It was a little difficult for him to explain, especially since not all RPGs were quite like that. But that seemed to cover the bases pretty well in terms of the genre.

"Usually it'll involve some sort of epic story... Actually, story is one of the key elements to it. Most of the time at least," he added after thinking on it a little longer.

"Ohhh," She stared up at teacher Jericho, "Role playing game..." She listened quietly to his explanation, frowning a little as she nodded from time to time; it doesn't sound too complicated or JOYful at all! When he mentioned that RPGs usually have a story behind it, however, she perked up - she likes a good story! And having a part in a good story would sort of be like being in a good play, right?

"I-I think I would like that!" She grinned, straightening up to her full height (which really isn't much at all) as she decided that would be the game she would be playing, "Which 'RPG' game would you recommend? I mean, for uh... Someone starting out."

She was clearly talking about herself.

Thinking on that for the moment, Jericho mentally went through a list of games in his head that may be good for Lizzy to start out with.

"Frightful Fantasy or Kingdom Hate could be pretty good. There's also Pokeman - er... that stands for Pocket human... All those series are pretty popular. You'll need the system though in order to play them..." he said while thinking, "I actually have Pokeman Bloodred on me if you want to try it out."

As he said this, he produced a Skintendo DS out of his pocket for Lizzy to see.

"Ohyesplease." She nodded, noting down the names of the games on her mind; words being mashed together was probably her way of showing her excitement, and she was pretty excited right now. She was in a video game store and was about to play a video game, at the same time. She had at least heard of Pokeman - wasn't there a series on skelevision on it? She was pretty sure she had heard about it from somewhere...

"Can all the games you mentioned before be played on this?" She pointed at the DS, wondering if all the systems were that small. She frowned slightly, "I remember play uh, what's that game called... Street FEARer? Something like that... It was a long time ago with a friend at her place... We were using this grumpy looking machine about this big." She held out her hands, leaving some distance in between to show how long 'this big' meant.

"And it was glaring at this other machine across the room." She nodded, her frown deepening, "I was told that they don't get along." If she heard of the system's name, she would probably remember - its just been so long!

Turning on the system, Jericho went ahead and started up the game for Lizzy before handing it to her. He made sure to go ahead and load his save file... not wanting her to accidentally wipe it out.

"No, there's a few different systems. The Scarestation3 and the Hexbox360 are two of the bigger ones. Those might be the ones you saw since they're rivals," he explained before looking at the handheld device, "Ah.. basically in this game you go around collecting Pokeman, train them, and battle them with other Pokeman Trainers."

It was a pretty simple game on the outside, so he doubted she'd have trouble picking up on it. It wasn't as if he was going to get into the whole meta on natures and EV's and IV's and all that jazz.

"The way they glared at each other sure was scary... I don't think I'll ever want two of them in the same room." She frowned slightly; they looked more like mortal enemies than just rivals to her. She looked down at the small device in his hands, nodding as he explained the game before taking it from him; it sounded easy enough... Collect, train and battle?

"Sounds like Minipets, minus the battling, I suppose," She commented with a thoughtful expression as she fidgeted with the buttons; the arrows were probably for directions... And the other buttons...? She pushed them randomly as a menu popped up; as she got used to the controls, Lizzy made the character in the game walk around - it was rather fun... Until the screen zoned out and she found herself in another screen.

Her first instinct? Click 'attack'.

"Am I supposed to just... Click that first attack?" She pointed at the first of four attacks, "Does it even matter?"
