It had been a damn good night, well...day too, he'd used up the day's transformation with the Crimson crystal to infiltrate a few more gyms, posing as a personal trainer made short work of collecting, he'd collected more than his quota, but he was so tired and bone weary that he just wanted to sit down for a few moments and let his mind drift over everything else he needed to do.
He had not planned on company, he had not planned on HER company above all, he should have known better. The very act of sitting lately seemed to attract attention he had no desire for in the least.
"General..." he said with just enough respect to cover the tension between them. More so because it went so against his grain to owe her any sort of honorific, Bunny Plush...god.

"Just for your information, it's not like I desire your company either, Zink." Serandite sighed, looking away to run her hand over her tired expression. Ever since the crystal incident, when Serandite and Zinkernite had gotten.. into an argument of sorts.. Well, it was safe to say that neither of them had a good opinion about each other. It was mutual.
Although it was fairly satisfying to see the stickler follow the negaverse hierarchy with a passion. That was a lift to her spirits-- Clapping her hands together, she decided to put on her sugary sweetest tone she could must (which was pretty bad) as she approached Zink with the brightest of smiles.
"So. Paaaanda-boy, what are you doing?"
She was stretching the syllable on purpose. On purpose. For sure. There was no doubt in either of their minds-- Such dislike didn't manifest itself in their negaverse meetings. Of course not. It was a personal grudge rather than a negaverse one .. In other words, a personal problem.

It was an almost tangable effort not to drum his fingers in vexation at her calling him 'panda' boy, really all that over a god forsaken KEY FOB that had hinted at his own 'plush preferences' as a lieutenant. "Currently, General..." he somehow made the word general sound like 'little girl' was a synonym "I am resting after collecting my quota for the evening, and sorting through a handful of information that I will be adding to our Senshi Bulletin board."
"Would you have a particular task you would like me to fulfill for our Queen?" He was ever so pointedly to the letter respectful of rank, and yet somehow in being so he was so very distinctly personally -not-.

"Oh. Not much, really." She responded to his question with a smile on her face, although the corners of her mouth struggled to keep the cheerful facade. Serandite, like others, deemed respect when deserved. She wasn't yet worthy of Zinkernite's respect to merit any sort of genuine emotion from him but .. Well, it was still aggravating.
"Just passing by and saw you. How about dinner, Panda-captain?" She seated herself, one leg crossed over the other, chin cupped in hand. "We.. got off to a bad start. We could at least try to better our acquaintance, don't you think? If we're going to stick to the whole 'negaverse family' philosophy, that is."
Obviously, it was a philosophy she believed in if she was .. attempting to make something better of their broken relationship. At the very least, she tried. Perhaps, not very hard, but she did.

The desire to re-aquaint with each other made him give her a cautious stare like he expected at any moment to be smacked in the face with a bunny. "... If... you would like that General." He said cautiously, though at least it lacked the calculated tones that implied his utter and at one time mutual disrespect. "I am at your disposal... hopefully not literally." he added the last part as a sort of cautious camaraderie.

"Of course. We're really all at our Queen's disposal. Any thinking otherwise would turn out disastrous." Serandite pointed out, leaning forward to slowly stand up, her feet meeting ground. Her negaverse form quickly gave way to her casual civilian form, looking.. smaller without her high heels and long kimono sleeves.
A lot smaller.
Nobody would have suspected these two shrimps here were soldiers. They were certainly.. short soldiers. Hence, the 3-5 inch boost on Serandite's heels. Unfortunately, Serah's heels didn't have the same.

"Wisely spoken..." He said rankled slightly to feel as though he might just have been scolded but tried not to take it as such. The change in height at least was satisfying, "Did you have a particular destination in mind?" He asked thankful he hadn't been wearing his actual panda hoodie when he left, just the black one with the skull-panda on the sleeve, and that was at least better than ears on the hood.

"How about take-out? I took Schee out for take out at this great place with steak and everything. We'll pick and choose there?" Serah suggested, pointing down the block. She offered the captain a tentative smile. They could handle dinner without exploding at each other, right?
... Right? No nuclear bombs? No smoke bombs? No bunny's paw of justice slapping down the panda of injustice?
"It's not too far of a walk either." She added, clapping her hands together in a show of excitement. Zach should try to be a little more enthusiastic too-- It wouldn't help if it was one sided. But then again, that was half of the negaverse. Gloomy pessimistic sucker-- Serah meant, soldiers.
Soldiers who rarely smiled in fear it would crack their face. (Like tanz, liketanz, liketanz, liketanz. That evil smile did not count ok.)

If anything her enthusiasm worried him more than the offer. He just didn't trust anyone to be that happy legitimately. Even Demy earned his suspicion till he decided it was just a permanent state of mind for him. "Take out is fine..." He said in that tone of caution that said he at least half expected her bunny to stab him in the back repeatedly and then tie his hair up in bows. The panda of injustice was slow to trust it seemed.

It wasn't long before Serah and Zach were seated on a bench, Serah untying the plastic knot that held their food in the bag. She handed Zach's hot plate to him, the Styrofoam closed flimsily over the plate, sauce threatening to leak out.
"So .. We've never had the chance to talk, outside of club meetings, that is." Serah opened her plate to spill the strong aroma into the cool night air, the sound of breaking chopsticks interrupted their conversation. "Not as an interrogation question, but for curiosity, what are you in club for?" She peered at him curiously, bending forward to look at his expression as she waited for his answer.
Answers to that question was always interesting.
(Club meant, presumably, the negaverse.)

"Very similar reasons to everyone else I suspect..." He replied, carefully arranging the tray on his lap before breaking his own chopsticks.
"Someone 'asked' me..." He nudged the food with the chop sticks before carefully sampling a bite so that he could pause to give a more satisfactory answer. No point in toying with her, not at the moment. "I suppose I stayed because the people in it, some of them at least, offered things I considered unique. Chances I wouldn't have found elsewhere... I find myself doing things I never would have considered before this."
He gave a small shrug and glanced at her. "And you? Or did you instead mean what drives me within the confines of the club?"
