The leopardess was perched in her usual tree, one of the tallest in her flooded land and one that gave the best perspective. There were few other trees that she'd come across, here or outside of her territory, that gave such a good few of the land. ..Perhaps there were more now, outside of her area, but, Chilali didn't venture outside of her comfort zone all that often. It wasn't that she was afraid of getting lost, but more about not wanting to have to fight for space. Not many would want such a watery land, and that was fine for her. She liked it. It felt like home for her.

Chilali had get her area for a long while now, and enjoyed finding new things that she hadn't seen before. Or taking note of what grew in one area, couldn't be found in another area. Even noting plant differences during the season had it's interesting things to note.

Val was board with remaining home. Once she realized that she was carrying cubs again she began to be very careful with what she handled and what she did. But for a goddess that spent most of her life popping from one area to another, meeting many inhabitants of the mortal realm, and dealing with many herbs that were not necessarily safe such inactivity was wearing her nerves thin. If her calculations were correct she still had about a month left before the cubs would grace her world with their presence so it was with a slightly apprehensive mind that Val decided to go on a quick herb hunting trip.

Some of more rare herbs that she used grew where water was abundant, meaning near lakes, swamps or marshes. Using her goddess powers she quickly 'located' the first of several herbs she needed but rather then just pop near the plant as she would normally had done, Val knew that she was going to have to take a slightly harder route; by air. Surprisingly it didn't take her long to fly to marsh where she knew her herbs were growing.

Once at the marsh she landed at the edge of the water and slowly dropped the illusion of invisibility, no point in scaring any mortals who might have seen her seem to appear out of no where.

Chilali sighed softly as she surveyed her watery lands, not finding too much out of place. That was normal. Far, too normal. Periodically she thought about just running others into here, just to see some fresh tracks around. Sure, there were the usual suspects, but that gets abit old. It's nice to small new scents wafting in the air, along with the smells of the water and plants. Hm? What was that? Chilali sniffed a passing breeze. There was something here. Something.. like a lion? Lions didn't usually come here, unless they took a wrong turn somewhere. This warranted one of her inspections, and there certainly was a spring in her step when Chilali went on her way.

Val knew her plants where here and so began her hunt but she didn't herb hunt like a normal mortal. Instead she walked on top of the water using the skill all gods could use, flight. Val knew that once she found what she was looking for that she would have to get wet but there was no need to slog through the water and mud just to search. She was unaware that the marsh was home to someone or else Val would have introduced herself as it was she continued on her way blissfully unaware of the introduction that was likely to happen shortly.
