From breezy to sunny, the weather always seemed to change.
"That was rather obvious," Lancelot muttered to himself, "The weather always changes..." Though there wasn't really much to comment about at all besides the weather anyways. No one came or visited nor did anything interesting happen in his small peaceful section of land. He walked parallel to the shore of the lake and looked to his left at the reflected light from the hot sun.
Feeling the sun's hot rays grill his backside, Lancelot was tempted into diving into the cool depths of the lake. Of course, he would have to strip in order to avoid damaging his clothing. So while he was reluctant to undress, it was hot and Lancelot, who hated being sweaty, thought that it wouldn't hurt to soak his feet in the cool water and calmly approached the water's edge.

The atmosphere was calm for only a moment longer before a disturbance in the grasses sent a small flock of birds flying into the air. In the wake of all the flying feathers the pink blur that happened to be Shani shot out into the open followed by Dialga. "Come on, I see the water!" she called back to her companion and took a running leap into the lake.
With a sigh Dialga watched the circinus standing by the water's edge with a bit of apprehension. She hoped that he wouldn't get too mad that Shani had nearly drenched him with her splash and made her way over to him to run defense if needed. "Hello there, is this your home?" she inquired while keeping an eye on Shani.

His heart thumped against his chest as he backed away from the water's edge as he heard the pink Circinus fly past him. Guilty, though not appearing so, he tried go towards drier ground. What was he thinking becoming so relaxed! No matter, he had visitit—
Before he realized what had happened he could feel his thick hair being pulled to the ground as it absorbed the water from the lake's. His clothes! How undignified for him to appear so... so... messy. You're not supposed to get silk wet. He grit his teeth in horror—and anger. How dare that young brat splash him!
Lancelot quickly swallowed his anger as he was greeted by the other Circinus, one that was predominately blue in color. "Yes. This is my land. May I ask why you are tresspassing?" Ok, so maybe he didn't swallow his anger as much as he inteneded. But in his defence, he did just get soaked head to toe in water. Fully clothed.
"And you!" Lancelot shouted to Shani, somehow keeping his voice at a respectably level while shouting, "No diving! This lake is shallower than it appears!"

Dialga merely blinked as the circinus snapped at her and ignored his questions for a second as she waded into the late to retrieve Shani, who appeared to be attempting some sort of swimming on her back. "Come on now, out," she commanded softly. Sometimes she didn't understand the older circinus, though she could see the appeal in wanting to be carefree and childish all the time.
While making a great effort to block out the whining she knew was coming from Shani she attended to the male's question. "We didn't know we were if I may be honest. Shani merely wanted to go exploring, and so here we are," she explained, her voice soft, and nudged Shani.
With a huff Shani tried her puppy eyes to get out of the apologizing she knew Dialga expected. When it didn't work she pouted and shook her fur out, giving it a little extra vigor to make sure she was really dry, secretly delighting in the near imperceptible wince Dialga gave as she got wet.
Not able to put it off any longer she turned to the male and dug her front paws in the dirt. "I'm sorry, I just wanted to play. I'm Shani, what's your name?" She asked to change topics in the hopes of avoiding any more scolding.

Lancelot grit his teeth at the honest answer. Yes, they were most likely telling the truth; who would bother coming so far to a deserted place?
"Welcome then, and I do apologize, I did not intend to accuse you so harshly." he replied to Dialga but gasped in surprise and muted horror as Shani splashed both the blue female and himself in the muddy water. His face blank, for once he couldn't think of anything to say.
"H-ho-how- !!!" Lancelot started out but froze as the words lodged in his throat. His silk...!

Shani took a step back, just now realizing that she may have done something bad. Uncertainly she looked to Dialga for what she should do next and wound up taking a second step back when she didn't see a forgiving face. Now she could see for sure that she was in trouble. Her eyes darted around wildly until she spotted a bush big enough to hide in and she made her escape. "See ya!"
Dialga sighed when Shani exited for the supposed safety of her bush and looked off the direction that she had run. "She's older than me, believe it or not," she offered, not as an explanation or excuse but just so she had something to say. She badly wanted to shake the moisture of of her fur but she was concerned for the other circinus, it looked like he may just keel over from anger. "You never did offer your name. I'm Dialga," she introduced herself and backed away so she could attempt to dry off.

Stuck in place Lancelot looked at the apparently older Circinis as she ran off towards the bushes. Such disrespect! But no matter, he had to respond to the other Circinis in order to avoid appearing even ruder than he must appear thus far.
Resisting the urge to shake his coat, Lancelot turned his head back to the blue Circinis and replied: "I do apologize. My name is Lancelot, it is a pleasure to meet you, Dialga. And your... companion as well."

Not suspiciously at all, the bushes nearby began to shake as Shani crawled underneath them. She wanted to hear what was going on in case they were still talking about her!
Observing that he wasn't going to try and shake the water off his fur Dialga took yet another step back in case it was her nearness that was making him hesitate. "You don't have to pretend that you like Shani right now, no one would blame you," she offered and smiled, noticing that the bushes were getting caught in some wind at the moment. "Also, feel free to dry off."

Frowning slightly when Dialga took a step back, Lancelot stood straighter and quickly wiped his face clear of any negative emotions. I must appear to be incredibly short-tempered... "I'm sure your companion has many qualities that I would find pleasurable. I do try not to judge too quickly; and again, I do apologize for sputtering earlier."
Lancelot chewed this inside of his mouth subtly as the thought of the temptation of just shaking the water off, but in the end decided it wasn't worth tangling his long hair, as wildly shaking his body would inevitably do so.
"I hope it isn't a bother" Lancelot said politely with a gentle smile in exchange for her offer, "but perhaps we could rest on top of a hill that is being warmed under the sun. The hills around the lake tend to gather a good deal of heat, and combined with the long grass, it will dry both of us faster than simply shaking our coats."

Dialga blinked and tilted her head in response to Lancelot's reactions. He seemed to be perceiving her actions completely differently than from what she meant them to be. "Again, I don't blame you for getting upset. I suppose the only reason I'm not yelling at her as well is that I'm beyond used to her antics by now," she spoke and glanced at the bushes again.
They had mysteriously gone still and, if she knew the circinis as well as she thought she did, it probably meant that the girl had fallen asleep out of boredom. "If you'd like, I'll just follow your lead," she agreed and stood, gently shaking off some grass that had gotten stuck on her backside.

Walking from the damp grass to the warm, dry hill, Lancelot lead the female with a positive demeanor at the chance for pleasant company. "So, Lady Dialga, how far have you explored the surrounding land? I do hope that you've seen the open forest not too far from here. I find walking through that forest very relaxing."
As he began to walk up the slope of the hill, he turned his head in order to glance at his guest. It was admirable how she composed herself, it made it far more comfortable for Lancelot to speak to her.

As the sun began to warm her fur Dialga began to softly hum some nonsense tunes. When Lancelot wasn't looking she couldn't resist shaking out her fur any longer and she hoped that none of the water landed on him.
When he did look back at her she flushed slightly and hoped that he hadn't caught her drying off. That was the whole purpose for climbing up the hill after all. "I've gone as far as Shani has," she admitted and sped up her pace slightly until she was walking along next to him. "I think I'll have to try walking through the forest alone sometime though, it sounds nice."

Lancelot smiled, partially teasingly as he saw her flush. "Well I do hope that you visit me again when you do. I do not receive much company so far away from the busy marketplace."
Looking in front of him again Lancelot bit his lower lip. That was too forward... It sounded as if he was flirting with her openly. It would be an insult for her to approach her so shamelessly, even if it wasn't intentional. "Though during this time of year when everything turns orange and red, I tend to be hard to see against the scenery." Lancelot chuckled at his own joke.
Though honestly, he couldn't believe he presented such lame entertainment to her. He must be really unsettled by earlier. Hopefully the joke will cover for his faux pas; he laughed quickly after speaking, just in case she didn't understand...

Dialga tilted her head and looked Lancelot over. True, his coat and hair were very representative of autumn, but with the rose color of his eyes and the spots of green all over his body there was no way he would blend in. "I'd love to come visit again, and I'm sure I could spot you," she told him with confidence and smiled.
It seemed that they were almost at the top of the hill, which was a good thing since there was a bit of a wind and she was starting to shiver. She also had the sense that they were being followed by a certain circinus, but she would let it be for now.
