Apollo ran through the clump of trees near Artemis' camp. He was dying from boredom, and hopefully he'll find something interesting if he walked around long enough. After about two hours he realized that randomly walking around was probably not such a good idea because now he was even MORE bored.
"Gah I'll never find something to do!" He groaned. "I guess i could try hunting, Artemis isn't here to make fun of me."
He saw a plump mouse eating a berry on a large flat rock. He pounced toward it, but out of no where this adolescent wulfin appeared behind the rock and Apollo landed on top of her. He hurriedly jumped off her then tripped on his own feet and knocked his head on a tree trunk. I'm such a moron!

Angerora's mouth watered when the scented the mouse... She hadn't eaten since early last night. She followed the scent, stalking it expertly and without sound through the thicket. Having had two generations worth to practice; she was the best of the best at being silent... Just as her mother had wanted; only her mother had wanted for Angerora to be the kind of silent that only the dead know. How her plan had been warped; thwarted by the Goddess of the Scales!
She took no notice of the wulfine pouncing, herself preparing to spring. On the balls of her feet, she did a lighting fast- and always fatal- calculation. All factors were considered as she sprang... Except for the other wulfine.
She was easily thrown to the ground, but she got up and immediately into a battle stance before realizing that the wulfine was a startled as she was! Relaxing, she grinned and tried to chuckle; but stopped since the noise sounded like the last growl of a dying animal.

Apollo hurriedly got to his feet, his eyes cast down in embarrassment. He swept a glance over the wulfin. Woah, she's pretty hot, a bit creepy though... I really hope those red splotches are natural. I hope she's not mad at me for slamming into her. He grinned as he saw the female smile. Well at least she's not mad. Then he heard her growl. Crap, maybe she is pissed.
"I'm sorry for pouncing on you, I was running after this mouse and I really suck at hunting... I think I'm destined to embarrass myself in front of every beautiful girl I meet," Apollo said, his flirty voice taking over again. "My names Apollo, what's yours, love?"

Angerora looked up at the pastel-green wulfine and blinked. Oh Goddess! He actually thought she was mad... Well, that's what she got for attempting to speak. She alowed herself a sigh. She had to know by now that her speech scared others!
No, wait, maybe it was a good thing she scared him....She wasn't particually fond of flirts, after all. They weren't all Guilty, though... She'd try to get along with this one, then, if he was Innocent.
Gentley grasping her long, somewhat adnormally slender tail in her mouth; she wrote on the ground, 'Im not mad, not really. I'm Angerora... And I'm not your 'love', thank you. Just watch where you leap, OK?' She released her tail from her jaws and waited for this Innocent's response.

Apollo was amazed as he saw the wulfin begin to write, he could barely even write. He was an exceptional reader, but writing was a significantly large feat, even for a tame wulfin. A twinge of fear flashed in his eyes as he saw the dark red liquid smeared on the ground. Then he smelled the scent of berries and relaxed. She must be really smart. I wonder why she writes instead of talks.
After he read what Angerora wrote he took his flirtiness down a notch, but it was impossible to make it fully go away. With a cocky grin, he walked toward the black and red female.
"Angerora's a nice name, why don't you talk instead of write?" He said, his voice still in flirt mode, but he was making sure he didn't go overboard.

Angerora swelled with pride at the Innocent's amazement. She had met a few wulfine whom had experience with humans who could read; but it took whole lifetimes for most to master writing... Of course, she had had a couple of those to learn! After she had hit adolecence she hadn't aged a day. One and a half generations had lived and died in Angerora's lifetime. Was she immortal? Definately not. Extremely long-lived? Definately. Made her wonder what the scientists had done to her as a kit... They had called her a 'fluke'... More like 'Chosen'!
The Innocent flinched at the ink she soaked her tail in... Then realized it was MOSTLY berry juice. Indeed, some of it was blood; she didn't like wasting kills.
Hearing the Innocent's question, Angerora opened her mouth and tried to say, "I'm mute!," to demonstrate. Of course, it came out as the sound an angery dying animal would make! She sighed, griping her tail again, and eligantly (for a wulfine) wrote, 'I'm a mute.'

Apollo backed up a little as Angerora growled again. Damn, even when I try not to be a flirt I still offend her! He relaxed a bit as he saw her write again. He hurriedly read her beautiful writing, pity filled his eyes. He couldn't imagine not being to talk, it was his main hobby. She wasn't angry at him, she was attempting to speak.
"I'm so sorry," Apollo said quietly, his voice had changed back to its normal tone. "How'd you become mute?"
