Emil - Das Tor
Emil didn't often venture into the rogue lands lately. Not with Tanny with him in the Matembezi now. But lately, Kyouko had been venturing more and more into the rogue lands, and he'd gone after her this time. Duo might have had a high opinion of Kyouko's ability to protect herself...but Emil wasn't so sure. More often than not, Kyouko's visions left her sense of time skewed and her sense of certain other things odd. He had no doubt that one day, she would think the wrong creature harmless at the wrong time.
The black and white lion followed the scent trail she'd left, glad she seemed to not be trying to sneak. When Kyouko went stealthy, she was as hard to find as Duo or Shinigami when they didn't want to be found. He still gave Duo pissy looks now and again for teaching the adolescent stealth when she was already naturally quiet and hard to find.
Crim, however, was not so tied down. He lover roaming about the rogue lands, and letting himself enjoy his time about. Of course, when he scented a lion in his general vicinity, well. Hey, if it was a female, more to his luck, right~? Trotting the way of the scent, he sighed heavily as he came across a male lion. Greaaaaaaaat. Testosterone fest. What a life, right? "Hey, man. You lookin' for someone?"
Emil looked up from the trail, blue eyes skimming over the cheetah who greeted him. Not a threat. Okay. "I am. Have you seen a dark blue lioness with black markings around her neck and black wing markings on her back? She would have had a silver necklace on, and is rather...delicate looking."
His ear flicked. Huh. Lioness? That could be fun for him, "Nah, man. I've not seen her. But I could help you look~" His voice was a purr, his white, red, and black body slinking forwards, easily, looking at the other, "Your sister or something~? Which way'd she go?" Crim's mind raced. This would be great! He might even get something nice outta the bargain.
Emil raised a brow, but decided help would be appreciated. "She's my cousin." He nodded in the direction the trail went. "This way, apparently." He had no idea WHY she had gone that way. Hopefully it wasn't for that fool idea of her 'Shining Emperor' again.
Lowering his nose to the trail, blinking slightly, he huffed. Huh. Okay. That way. Tail flicking back and forth he began to trot forwards, glancing over at Emil, "Cousin huh? She wander off often or something?" He had to ask. If the answer was yes, well, flighty women were best, right? No need to worry about attachments.
Emil sighed, nodding. "Often enough to cause worry." He kept an eye on the cheetah while following the trail, still uncertain of the other's intentions. He was protective of his family...especially since his mother's death. And all the violent visions most seers got when exposed to his sister Epyon. Save Kyouko, that is. It made him wonder..."I apologize in advance for any odd behavior she exhibits."
He blinked, turning over to the other, "Odd behavior? Hey, it's not an issue. You wander like mad, you see some strange things, yeah?" He really didn't care. If she was attractive, that was all that mattered. Crim wasn't really a discriminatory sort, after all. The Cheetah was a bit of a flirt...okay, a lot.
Emil chuckled, amused. Perhaps...but Kyouko, he'd noticed, was her own brand of odd. "She's a seer, a very powerful one, and she tends to mix up what's already happened with what has yet to happen and the present." He just hoped that, for once, she was firmly in the present. He hoped.
He blinked, "Damn...Must be tough. I've not met any seers, yet. So hey, might be an interesting turn, huh?" Crim grinned, thinking about it. That would be pretty cool, indeed! The male really liked new experiences, and a Seer would DEFINITELY be a new one.
Emil nodded. "It can be, yes. Sometimes, it's useful for those who encounter her. Other times, it's...very hard for her. Especially when she encounters someone she's Seen as a very close friend." Kyouko had too few creatures she trusted...even fewer than he himself. Those encounters always left her saddened.
Eyes saddened, his eyes glanced away. Oh s**t....he hated it when things got all emotional, ".....Oh damn....That's....I'm sorry dude...." His fur fluffed slightly, and he wondered whether or not he could ditch...He didn't do good with emotional stuff...
Emil shrugged. "It's not your fault. It's luck of the draw she ended up that way." Neither of her brothers was quite so strong...just her. He almost wondered if there were a reason for it. He hoped if there was, that it wasn't a grim one. "I am Emil, by the way." Best to introduce himself, and get it over with.
The male nodded, glancing away, "Sangue'crimezi. Call me Crim." He muttered. s**t....well then. This was gonna get fun, if cousin was this....protective, "Yeah....Draws like that in life are pretty nuts......" He really had no experience with people who'd had the short straw, so he was trying to be as...cordial as possible.
"Good to meet you, Crim." Emil's ears pricked forward as he heard humming, the sighed and picked his pace up as a scent reached him. "It would seem we've found her." If she was humming, and there was no scent of blood, that at least meant she was okay.
The delicate looking lioness was settled in a patch of flowers ahead of them, humming an aimless tune and seemingly just enjoying the scent of the flowers around her. She was smiling contently, tail flicking behind her now and again.
Glancing at the female, he glanced at the delicate thing, just laying in the flowers. His maw curved up in a tiny smirk, his ears pricking forwards. Well DAMN she was pretty! Trotting forwards with Emil, he tipped his head, "She's real pretty..." Moving forwards slowly, sure to stick beside Emil, as not to look too eager, Crim watched her with calm eyes.
Emil looked to Crim, and nodded. Kyouko was a very pretty girl...and hopefully Crim didn't intend to try anything. It would have been a shame if he had to chase off the cheetah. He looked over to Kyouko, and cleared his throat. "Kyouko...time to go home."
The adolescent opened her eyes, her humming ceasing. She blinked, confusion crossing her face for a moment before she smiled again, a small one this time. "Hello cousin. It is? Did I worry Mother or Kiyo?" Emil nodded, and she looked a bit guilty.
Damn...looks like this little family did have emotional attachment issues. That sucked. Girls with emotional s**t were hard to deal with, they really were. Making sure he didn't get too close, Crim gave the girl a weak smile. "Yo..." About all he could manage at the moment. Dammit, where were his good lines, when he needed them?
Kyouko looked over to Crim, an ear flicking back as she looked him over. Then nodded politely to him as she stood. "Hello. You're a new face."
Emil felt an odd sense of relief at that greeting. It meant Kyouko hadn't Seen him. That...was very good, usually. "Kyouko, this is Crim. He helped me track you."
The Cheetah bowed, letting one foreleg forwards, and one bend, his head lowering, "Sangue'crimezi. It's an honor to meet you, my lady~" There it was, the old Crim charm, something he was VERY good at. Letting himself up again, he canted his head to the side, giving her a bit of roguish charm in the smile.
Kyouko giggled a bit, smile growing a little. "I'm not just a lady..." Emil couldn't help but cringe a bit. Oh hell. He'd forgotten about this. "I'm a goddess." And she started in the direction of the Matembezi, looking rather proud of herself. Emil sighed and looked to him.
"I'd forgotten about that...It's been a while since she's met someone outside of our pride or the pride we're allied with."
He blinked, a bit shocked. A goddess? Looking to Emil, he frowned a bit, ".....A Goddess? Th' hell is she talking about?" The Cheetah had never heard THAT claim before either....that was a real new one, alright....
Emil frowned. "Her father is a god. And she occasionally says something about my aunt being a goddess, likely because of Nyx's wing markings. Combine those things, and her own wing markings..." He shook his head, eyes closing. "She's a bit hopeless at times. And no worries...she is as mortal as you or I."
"Ah....Okay...." He nodded a couple of times, "Weeelll...I've helped you out, and I think I should probably be moving on. I got a Cheetah lady I'd like to meet~" He let the charmer's grin flicker over his face again, and he trotted off, eager to see what came next on the adventure.
Emil nodded to Crim. "Thank you." Once the other feline had started off, Emil followed after Kyouko, to make sure she didn't stray off again.
