Mwujuzi puttered about in no particular direction. It was getting close to dark and she still had not found a suitable place to sleep. That was the one thing she hated most about traversing the Rogue Lands. You almost never had a secure place to sleep, unlike when she was back at the Kusini. At the Kusini, there was always somewhere to sleep, and it was safe, and warm, and cosy. Out here, in the rogue lands, Mwujuzi might find herself sleeping in a hollow tree then in a cave the next. Still she didn't mind. Ever since she'd set out on her journey she'd enjoyed herself immensely and she didn't feel like stopping anytime soon. Still, she had to find somewhere to sleep.

Takoda too was out at this time, but he wasn't looking for somewhere to sleep, he already had that. Not too far away was a small pile of rocks, and if you squeezed just right you could get into the place he now called his den, it was small, but for the lone lion it was acceptable, and it was nearly impenetrable except for the one entrance, so he always knew he was safe when he was sleeping. His white and teal coat stood out against the browns and yellows of the rogue lands, his fluffy mane bouncing as he moved. It was common to find Takoda wandering around the lands, he seemed to enjoy it, especially meeting others. He found it to be a great experience, and most others found him to be friendly in return. Perhaps tonight he would make another friend.

Unlike her previous encounter with a rogue, Mwujuzi had learned to always be wary, and from then on she was, always slightly on her guard in case any unwanted company might show up. Not that it had, but it never hurt to make sure things were under control. Her teal eyes soon picked up a looming shape on the horizon, white and teal and looking cheerful? The golden lioness was a stark contrast to the bright white and teal of the lion she could now see, her colors helping her blend in with her surroundings. Still, the color did not put her off. She stopped in her tracks as he approached and called out to let him know she was there.
"Hello!" She called. "Are you okay? You look really happy."

Takoda wandered up to the stranger, a lopsided grin on his face. If he was wary he didn't show it. His pink eyes seemed to glow with friendlyness, and it was a trait that had served him well in the past.
"Oh hi there!" He called back. "Oh course I'm okay, I couldn't be better! And it seems I'm about to make a new friend, which is even better!" He smiled again. He was certainly friendly, if not a bit forward, but when he'd had success in forming friendships in the past it was to be expected he would act this way.
He swished his tail as he introduced himself. "I'm Takoda, I live around these parts? What about you? What's your name?" He asked eagerly.

"Hi Takoda, nice to meet you." She smiled back, his warmth and smile seemed to be contagious. Her teal eyes looked him over, in fact her eyes were quite similar to the color of his coat, she noted. He was a big lion, strong, but still young, younger than she was at least.
"I'm Mwujuzi, and I'm just wandering. I've only recently started out on my journey, but it's been quite fun so far." She nodded, it had been fun, she'd met a few characters, as well as seen an array of landscapes. "Of course I don't know where I'm going exactly, but I don't mind, all I know is I'll know when I get there." She nodded, happy with her explanation.
"And no, I don't live around these parts." She continued, "actually, I was just looking for somewhere to sleep for the night, it's getting dark and I'm getting tired.

Takoda beamed. "Mwujuzi is a nice name!" He nodded, agreeing with his statement. She was a pretty lioness, he'd give her that, but at the moment he was looking for nothing more than friendship, he was yet to find a lioness that could steal his heart.
"Oh wow, exploring sounds like fun! I've never been much for wandering myself, but everyone has their quirks. I wandered a bit when I was younger, but I'm happy with the home I have now." He jerked his head back to the way he came, where his small den was located.
"In fact, if you need somewhere to stay, you're welcome to stay with me. It's big enough for the two of us, and it's very secure, and not far away! I could show you if you want?" He smiled again, not in a flirtatious way, but in a friendly way.

She listened intently as he spoke. Certainly one of the highlights of wandering the rogue lands was uncovering the stories of others. Sure she could discuss things with other members of the pride, but for those who didn't do much every day, the stories they had weren't very different from each other. Mwujuzi found it refreshing to hear new things from new people.
"Hmm," she started, "I guess I could stay, I mean, it doesn't look like I am going to be able to find anything around here." She indicated with a paw to the barren landscape that surrounded her. There certainly wasn't much in the way of accommodation, a few sparse trees but that was it.
"Well, what are we waiting for? Show me the way?" She said, stiffling a yawn at the end of her sentence.

Takoda smiled. Mission Make Friend accomplished! "Alright, well it's this way if you want to come." He indicated with his paw behind them before setting off towards his den.
"It's pretty cosy, and you'll definitely be able to squeeze through the hole since you're smaller than I am. And theres space for the two of us as well." He walked with her, not going too fast and not going too slow, the night was coming faster now, but he still wanted to chat before they slept.
Soon they came to a small pile of rocks. "Here we are!" He beamed. "To get in you just go through here..." He then scooted down a small hole in the earth beneath one of the rocks.

"Sounds good!" She replied, certainly the way he described his home made it seem comfortable. He followed next to him, looking around as they went. It was getting dark now, and her paws were heavy. Obviously the effects of her days activity were settling in.
Finally they arrived. She looked over the small rock pile sceptically. It didn't look too large, but she trusted the lions words and so followed him when he went under.
Her eyes widened as she saw just how spacious it was. The den was dug in under the rocks, making a sort of bowl shape, with the rocks as the lid. Like he said she could only see one entrance into the den which made her feel safe.
"It looks comfy!" She said with a smile. Shortly after she let out a slow yawn. "I think... I'll just... settle myself... down... here." She told him as she set herself in a corner. Moments later she was asleep and dreaming.

"Yeah, it's not bad," he agreed with her. He then watch and grinned as her weariness showed and she was soon asleep. He then moved to an opposite side and made himself comfortable before settling down for the night.
"Good night, Mwujuzi." He whispered as he drifted off.
