This may sound a little weird, but I'm trying to figure out what a dream I had might mean. The only problem is that it was sometime last week, so I don't remember all that many details. So you'll just have to bear with me while I try to piece back together the fragments. xD
Now I know that a lot of people think that dreams don't mean anything, and are just random figments of the mind that are endless mysteries, and most of the time I can agree with this. However, for some reason, this dream really stuck with me and I keep wanting to figure out more about it.
The first thing that I remember is that I was with my mother on a dirt road, (( which I recognized, since I travel down it almost every day on the busride home from school )) and we had started running for some reason. It was almost like we were trying to get away from something, but I didn't feel terror like I would if it were something bad. I mean, I felt the huge urge to flee, but not blinding terror. I also remember that it was mid to late afternoon, and felt kinda like the end of spring that wants to be summer but isn't quite there yet, or like the middle of fall.
Well, we continued running down the road, with some trees on our left, and shrubs on the right, and I stopped when I reached the curve. But I don't remember if my mother was still there or not. Then it gets kinda weird. When I looked down at the ground, I saw five dead snakes of various lengths. Yet again, I wasn't terrified like I normally would be around snakes. Instead, I was just curious.
The next thing that I remember is that I was in a house that is along the same road, and there were three people in the room, four counting me. One was a tenth grader who used to ride my bus, who I used to have the smallest crush ever on ((unimportant detail.xD)). The second was a senior who I've had a crush on for awhile now. ..Since the end of the last school year, honestly. And the third person was who I think is his grandfather, since that's one of the people that he lives with. But I'm not completely sure, since I've only seen said grandfather once as he was driving past. I'm not even sure why I'm including this part, since I barely remember anything about it. I just remember that I was in this room with them, and for some reason shook the tenth graders hand, which was an odd handshake. I mean, it's hard to explain in text. The only other thing that I remember was an off comment about someone being gay*, but I can't remember which person it was being referred to.
Grah, I hate that I can't remember barely anything about this dream, but what I can't stop thinking about is the whole deal about the five dead snakes. I mean, I vaguely remember a conversation that I've had with my mom that snakes are a good omen in dreams, but what about dead ones? It's just making me.. honestly, it's making me worried. Can anyone enlighten me about how I might go about deciphering this? D:

* I mean no offense to homosexuals, it was simply a random part of my dream. Well, maybe not too random, considering that we ((jokingly)) call the senior "gay"...

Dreams are weird. Sometimes they have a meaning and sometimes they don't. I have never really been able to figure mine out, but then again I just forget them. I know that sometimes I have "seen the future". One time I had a dream that I stole a white boxer puppy (or I just got it as a gift) and the next day on the ride to school the radio announces that a white boxer puppy has been stolen. How strange.

Anyway, back to your dream. There could be something meaningful in that dream, but it's hard to ever know. As for dead snakes, I don't know. Maybe I can try and ask my Latin teacher about it so that I can try and help you in some way or another. Sorry I wasn't of much use. Maybe I'll google what it means because I'm now curious about it.

Snakes symbolize the Devil in a few religions.
Or maybe it was most religions?

This is, what I believe to be, the best free dream interpretation dictionary you will find. I have used it for years to help understand dreams of thers, and my own. It is oddly acurite, and can often help you come up with an outright answer as to what your dream was trying to tell you. Good luck!

Or they're good in others like Voodoo.

Really, its what snakes mean to the person dreaming thats more important.

The road can symbolize a journey, either physical or emotional. Running can symbolize the need to flee, but it can also symbolize freedom. The snakes can represent temptation and deceit, but since they're dead, it probably means the opposite. So maybe that's supposed to be the good omen. Why your mother's there depends on your relationship with her, but a mother usually symbolizes the phases of life, shelter, and nourishment. The house can represent safety or comfort. Maybe you all in the house represents your comfort (or future comfort) with each other? You probably had a bigger crush on the 10th grade guy than you thought, because usually when two people a person had fallen for are present in the same dream, it can mean that you must choose between them. Why the grandfather's there, I don't know. Many things in dreams are just sorta there, like "extras" in the play your mind is performing.
