So I'm trying to write a romantic part in my story and the harder I try the worse it gets and the more unrealistic and forced it seems.
Any ideas of good romance books I can use as reference to get more of a feel for my character's situations? (I am looking more for the innocent flirting and cute heart felt kiss. I am not looking for the erotic in bed scenes.)

There was this one book but for the life of me I can't remember the name, I'll let you know when I do. Sorry.

"The Iron Ring" by Lloyd Alexander is a short children's book that, if I recall correctly, has both flirting and more intimate (but not dirty or explicit) romance. If you are looking for the emotion, I would recommend anime, though - that genre seems to have more of what you are looking for, but in pictorial rather than written form.

no problem clarinetist
Hm, I'll have to go hunt that book down. I have thought about drawing out the story in anime form rather then writing it, but I know that that would take centuries to accomplish smile
