Bell had found herself a simple schedule that she had adopted since Ainsley came - Wake up at six, make breakfast for herself and her sibling (on the occasional late morning poor Ainsley got stuck with cereal, though Bell was trying at least...) walk Ainsley to school, do a little casual civvie-form patrolling (simply to get out of the house. She was finding this to be worthless though, and was looking in to some self-defense classes to fill in the 8-3 time slot of general nothingness) then walk back to Knightside to pick Ainsley up from school, make dinner (Oh those poor dishes and that poor stove. Most of all Poor Ainsley. Bell could bake, but cook? It was hit and miss...) andthen it was time to fidget and wait for her sibling to go to bed before going out for real patrols.
Today was a little different though, and welcome-ly so! Bell turned the knob of the increasingly familiar apartment door and stepped inside, calling out at greeting;
"Intruder alert!"
She slipped off her shoes, and gave a little attention to a certain tuxedo-marked kitty that inevitably made an appearance before seeking out her boyfriend. A day off from school and no work calling him in - how lucky! Of course, Bell was very happy about this, since it seemed most time spent together was patrolling. School, work, patrols, and little siblings didn't exactly lend to much spare time.

The tuxedo meowed, following after Bell like a tiny shadow. Hey, hey, hey ! That hadn't been enough petting ! Pick me up ! At least, this was the impression the feline was giving.
As for her boyfriend, he was sprawled on the couch. "Quick ! Reinforcements !" He called back at her, but otherwise didn't move. Bell knew her way, just as he knew his way through her house inside and out - they each let the other in as if they were home. And in a way, they were.
A bomb went off where his soldier stepped, and that was the end of that until he respawned. The allies had a considerable lead... too bad he'd been put on the other side in that game. He'd just finish this quickly...
"Shouldn't take too long." He said to Bell as she came to the living room. "We're about to lose this one..." Then he'll see what they could do.

Bell found her way quietly, and watched as the soldier on the screen respawned. How convenient it would be if the same could be said of senshi. However, she thought such a thing was more likely of Youma than the good guys, if possible at all.
"I don't mind watching," Bell said, finally indulging the cat with more attention, picking Tempo up and rubbing her behind the ears. Bell was technologically challenged, and as such, had never spared a thought even to pick up a game controller. She watched what appeared to her as random button pushing, not picking up on any set pattern. It took a whole 'nother kind of intellect to play these games, she decided.
"The game always cheats!" Bell said with slight teasing, simply chocking up any loss to that, rather than Xavier's own gaming skills.

"You're sure ?" He asked, moving to sit properly so she would have space to do the same. And spoil his cat, by all appearances.
By his own experiences, watching someone play a game really wasn't that entertaining. Especially someone like him, who wasn't exactly... well, good at it. Like him and first person shooters.
Bell was now getting the crash course on the many ways a WW2 soldier could die. Or get blown up. Literally.
And he diligently owned up to his shortcoming until the now, where his own death left him headtilting at the screen. "...I think that was a hacker."
He just got shot from the other side of the map ! What the hell !

Bell sat, cat in her arms, and now her lap, attention devided by the television screen and the controller. It was still all random button pushing to her. But then again it was hard to catch on to anything with all the getting blown up and stuff...
Then came the the rogue shot from across the map, and she couldn't help but giggle, "Of course it was." Not that she really knew anything about hackers. "I don't suppose seeing how many ways you can die is really part of the game?" She gave a humored smile before mischievously stealing the controller. "Just how hard can this game be anyway?"

"Well, that depends who you ask..." Sure, he was the butt end of jokes with his co-workers with the fact that he really was no good at first person shooters, what was most likely one of the most popular genres right now. But give him a rpg or a platformer and...
Well, he would need a controller for that. The controller had all but vanished from his hands, sneaked right out of there by a sneaky girlfriend.
"Hey !" At least she'd picked a time while he was.... well, dead.

Bell held the controller away with a grin. "I bet you I can die more times than you. I've never even really touched a controller. Till now anyway," She poked at a button, as if it was something that would come back and bite her. She had no delusions that if she were to try and play that her attempt would be comical, and down right hilarious. Because even though she hadn't been able to make sense of the button pushing = some sort of effect, she highly doubted that her random button pushing tactic would go over well. That and she was excitable and would probably try and shield her real self if anything on screen came flying towards her. That and...this wasn't stabbing. Stabbing and impaling was kinda her thing, after all.
"Whaddaya say? Give that hacker a good laugh at the poor n00b until he leaves out of pity?"

"They don't usually leave out of pity." Really, hackers seemed to just live for easy kills and tormenting legit players. Xavier really had no idea how they got such a kick out of cheating.
"Go for it, though." As long as she was having fun. This was all these games were about, after all. Some people took these things wayyyy too seriously.

And so Bell started playing. It was hilarious at first as she started figuring things out. It got even more hilarious when she would panic and and onslaught of random button pushing that caused god knows what to happen. It became clear though that this thing was really bad for her nerves. However, call it beginners luck, but she was actually doing pretty good score-wise. Granted ammo-wise she was soon be reduced to a simple little knife. However, this suited Bell just fine. Not her nerves though, as she was having to get WAY too close to targets and was freaking out and - oh god her poor nerves. She didn't get this worked up and freaked out fighting Youma.
There might have been cussing. There might have be a lot of cussing. And eep-ing, and other random noises somewhere in between fear and fake crying. But there definitely might have been cussing.
The round wouldn't end soon enough.

This would have probably been much more amusing the watch if her nerves weren't that frayed by the game. She was actually doing better with the knife than with the gun (the stream of wtf coming though his earpiece was amusing)
Maybe Bell was just part-tonberry. Too bad she wouldn't get the reference.
It seemed a little odd for someone who fought real monsters to be this freaked out at fighting fake humans, but he didn't question it. Instead, he gently took the controller away from her once the round ended, bringing up a menu before shutting down the console altogether, one arm draped over her shoulder to try to calm her.
And that was the end of that, through... Xavier seemed thoughtful for a moment. "Say, you like Tetris ?"
Everyone had played Tetris at least once in their life. Right ? Maybe this wasn't so much a bad concept than the wrong kind of game. Beside, he knew exactly where his Super Nintendo was...

Who the hell could sit so calm when playing these sort of games? Then again, Bell was the kind of person who would try to physically dodge when something on TV was being tossed the viewer's way. So deadly gunshots and grenades? Hell yeah. Bell gladly handed over the controller, wide eyes and stunned, though calming, now that shrapnel wasn't being thrown everywhere and her hands weren't fluttering about in a flurry of random button pushing.
It was with one great sigh that most, of not all, of the remaining tension was done away with, and she sank back a little. "What's Tetris?" There was a look on her face somewhere between genuine curiosity and 'OMFG, DO I REALLY WANT TO KNOW?'
Obviously not everyone had played tetris before.

.......
For a moment, it looked like Bell had finally done it. She'd finally said something that completely and utterly broke her boyfriend's mind into tiny pieces that would need to be ductaped back together.
"Just a second." Or maybe not, but it had been some narrow dodging. He got up then, putting the xbox controller back onto it's charging station before heading toward his bedroom.
It took a few minutes, but he came back with two boxes - one was then opened, revealing a Super Nintento - a very different beast than the 360 sitting at the side of the tv. The controllers had much less buttons, for one, and some sort of plus-shaped thing rather than an analog stick. He hooked it up, and then opened the second box, which contained... little gray cartridges. Countless little gray cartridges.
What was this madness ?
He finally did pull one, and inserted it before flicking the power on and returning to sit beside her, as if nothing had ever happened at all.
"This is Tetris Attack." He started as he navigated through the menus. "This is a puzzle game, you line the shapes together to clear the blocks." He started to demonstrate quickly enough, gauging her reaction. If this frayed her nerves, then he was downright giving up.

Bell watched with curiosity as the console was set up, and the game turned on. To her, Tetris sounded more like a Senshi name than a game. However as the game started, and went on for a few minutes, she found it seemed rather therapeutic. Until the blocks started coming faster. Faster and faster. This game, however, at least made sense. And there was nothing flying towards her. Much better.
"Seems simple enough." Though she had to wonder who sat around and thought up such a game.

"It is, it's pretty fun too." He stood to turn the console off (this one didn't have fancy long-distance shutdown, apparently.) ...Only to power it back on and give her the second controller.
"There's a two players mode, wanna try it ?"
Who knows, maybe they'll graduate to Mario next. Nothing freaky about stomping on mushrooms and turtles, right ?

"Sure." As she said this though, Bell looked at the controller, absolutely lacking any faith in her gaming abilities what so ever. Still, it was something the two of them could do that wasn't as srzbznz as patrolling, which seemed to be the main venture as of late. And although she was perfectly happy watching him play, she would happily try her best.
She had watched what buttons did what, so hopefully she wouldn't do anything too stupid right off. Not that you could do much in the way of stupid with tetris before you got the hand of it anyway.
