He'd left a note up on the bulletin board some time ago offering his services to look after some kids for their parents, to give the parents some time off. Not to mention that he rather liked taking care of kids, hoped to have some of them of his own when he was older though he knew that was time off. For now he was happy with taking care of his younger sister as well as the younger kids around D-Corp that needed him. It seemed that the note had gotten him another pair to look after for and a pair of them that were coming here to meet him in front of the building. Currently the owl boy was standing outside, unaffected by the cold in the air as he was quite at home in it, so was the massive blue creature that was sitting next to him.
Looking up at his dragon he gave a smile, "They should be here soon, I'm excited since its been a while since we have done this for anyone but Maria." He said to his partner in the dragon's language, leaning against his cool, glassy scales. Maria was growing up well aside from her occasionally colorful language, but that was all on Ter... not the best influence on a small child he thought to himself. His wings gave a flutter as he lifted up on his tip toes in an attempt to make himself a little taller, as though it would help him to see the ones he was tending to a little sooner.
Vorel looked down at Geia for a moment then chuckled a bit to himself, if only Keir could see him now... the Black would have an aneurysm, "I'm sure it will be fun." He agreed, tail swishing. He always had fun with the kids that Geia watched after though he had to admit that he preferred the ones that weren't afraid of him. The ones that were made him uncomfortable since he wasn't anything like say Keir or Baroness, had no real desire to scare people or threaten to eat them. He supposed that he would know what they thought of him the moment they arrived, first impressions and all that.

A white hand clingged tightly to a tall woman, his small form wobbling back and forth as he held fast to her pale hand. The woman held an air to herself, her eyes lidded as long, ruby hair fell down her back in gentle waves. Her clothing was modest, though showed of a bit of her womanly curves as she walked, and her brown eyes glanced around the facility she was currently forced to reside in. Her other hand seemed to twitch a bit as she walked, before relaxing once she caught sight of the guardian.
This babysitter was saving her at the moment, already overwhelmed with trying to arrange for her move and find a new job closer to the facility. As soon as she got into speaking distance, she paused and turned to the toddler, gently releasing his hand. Strain lined her face as her hand revealed tiny claw marks, something that she dealt with regularly when the boy was nervous and didn't want to let go. Hopefully, as he grew, he would learn to control his claws and stop with the scratching.
"It's time for your babysitter, Ussuri, please try and behave this time and be nice...I even hear you have a friend to play with this time..." She had tried to take him to a human babysitter, but returned to discover that he had torn the house apart with stress and anxiety.
"..." Ussuri's sharp eyes glanced up to his 'mother' as he let out a low sound in the back of his throat, not wanting to let go but also not wanting to get chided for scratching her. He kept the silent treatment as he looked away, and then quickly caught sight of a large creature before him. His tail tightened behind him as he dragged his feet, and was unsure what to do. It was his mother's gentle push that had him stumbling ahead to stop right before the babysitting duo, and his neck hair slowly stood on end.

Within a surprisingly small amount of time from the woman's arrival with her tiger, a man who was strikingly average--aside from a clearly false-color mop of blue hair on his head--also arrived. Gripping onto his head were a pair of thoroughly bundled little arms, holding up a colorful little boy who was as well-clothed as he could be for the cold. A jacket and a knit cap kept his upper body warm, while his long snake tail was less-well covered, it did wrap around the man's waist, where he held onto the tail to keep the little one from falling..
"Here we are, Troy," the man said. "Now be good while I'm gone, and don't be afraid..."
"I'm nowt afraid," the little one replied in a timid voice that hinted at indignation. "Just...cold." He resisted as the man pulled him off, but eventually gave in and accepted that he had to let go.
Once he was on the ground, he looked around, and seemed to notice the large dragon for the first time. His eyes got much bigger, and he stared with a look of intense interest, with a bit of reservation, but not outright fear.
"Right, then," the man said with an official tone. "Thank you for looking after him. I shouldn't take too long with this...but it could still be a while."

Ligeia and Vorel both took in the pair that were before them and Ligeia couldn't but to smile and find a bit of amusement in the fact that one of the kids was black and white and one of them was a snake. It was a touch reminiscent of himself and his younger, though much larger, brother Ter. He gave Vorel a glance and could tell that he was thinking the exact same thing. He gave a bit of a chuckle before stepping closer, giving the pair a smile before looking to the parents as well and spoke to them as a group.
"Hello there. My name is Ligeia Solon, this is my partner Vorel." He said, lifting one glove covered hand to motion toward the large dragon that sat there smiling in a happy manner, "We are going to be looking after these two today, I will be taking them to play in one of the terrain rooms that my father normally runs classes in." He told them before quickly adding, "He is one of the teachers here, he does Skills Classes that these two will take when they are a little older." He was sure that they would both end up taking some rather interesting classes knowing his father... and hey, neither were flyers which would make his father more then a little happy.
The next question was for the parents, "Is there anything I need to be aware of with them?" He asked of the two parents, knowing that there were some children from D-Corp that seemed to have special needs, one with Asperger's Syndrome, there was one who was blind, he'd heard that one was deaf though he hadn't met that child yet, and a few other things. Best that he knew ahead of time if either of them needed special care before they headed inside to warm up.

The woman, a miss Natali Marou, smiled softly as she looked over the teen, realizing that it would be best if you newly adopted son was watched by a child who had already gone through the growth process Ussuri would soon face. Maybe the child would even relax a bit around the adult, and she would be able to make this a regular occurring when she needed to make farther trips across Gaia.
"I really do appreciate your quick response, Ligeia...I am still trying to work out the move with my clients for work..." She still had cleaning appointments at houses in Durem, but Natali hoped that soon enough she would be able to clean locally and assist her son in his growth, "As for needing to be aware...in Ussuri's daysack is a medical card in reguard to some allergic reactions he may have if he were ever sent to the hospital...I guess it is a precaution to his breed, since tests haven't quite been made yet...but just to be safe, it is in the front pocket..."
Ussuri's eyes were still on the large creature, clearly uncertain as to what to make of the dragon, but slowly getting used to it's large presence. As the dragon didn't seem to be making any angry glares or snarls, the toddler lifted his chin up and fully let go of his mother's hand, curiosity taking over his light green eyes. He glanced around at the rest of the building, remembering it well, before he realized there was a boy sitting near him. Now, instead of concentrating on the dragon and the babysitter, his gaze fell on Troy with intense interest.
"...Why ar'ew cold?" He finally asked in a huff, not understanding why the other toddler was so bundled up, whereas he was quite warm with all of his fluffy cub fur still covering his body. In fact, it seemed to huff with him as he looked at the other with a confused stare, not hostile, just wide-eyed and curious.
"Not all of us have fluffy hair covering our body, 'Suri..." Natali responded swiftly, bending to her knees to brush back the boy's fluffly black hair, "You be good for Mr. Ligeia, he'll be watching you while I go to work...listen to everything he says and don't make a mess, and maybe we can go out for fish sticks tonight..."
The boy's eyes lit up as he turned his head to look at his mother, and he quickly nodded while his tail waved back and forth, the prospect for fish sticks quite appealing to his young mind.

"Things to be aware of?" The man considered a moment, looking thoughtful. "As of yet, Troy hasn't shown any allergies, aside from his aversion to cold, which is hardly surprising..." He patted the little snake on the head. "So, no, there's nothing in particular you need to know." He glanced at the screen of a phone and said, "Thank you again for looking after him, but I really must be going..." he looked downward with a little smile. "Be good, Troy."
"I'm cold 'cause it's cold out," Troy informed the other little one, as if it were the most obvious thing in the world. He looked over Ussuri curiously, but said nothing else. He was wondering what all that fur felt like, but wasn't willing to ask or just touch and find out.
When he was told to be good, Troy looked up with a somewhat sad expression and waved mutedly before turning his attention back to the dragon: That was obviously the most interesting looking thing around. He even slid closer to it to get a better look. The frosty look to the dragon made him not want to get too close or feel it, but the claws, the wings...those were things to stare at, and his mouth hung open a little bit as he did.

Ligeia listened closely to what the two parents were saying, one child had a medical card in his bag and the other didn't seem to display any allergies, just his aversion to cold, "I understand that well, I have a younger brother that is a cobra and he has the same dislike of cold." He explained to Troy's father before his attention turned to the two boys before he gave a smile, "We will be heading up to one of the terrain rooms where the two of you can play." He said to them, before motioning to Vorel who rose up on is feet to walk over toward him, tail swishing, "Do either of you want a ride? Vorel is a big fan of carrying people around."
Lifting a hand up to pat him on the side the owl seemed to be quite pleased with the idea of carrying the pair of them if they were interested in such a thing. He often carried around Ligeia's little sister and anyone else that wanted a ride on his back, for a dragon Vorel was rather laid back and friendly, "I don't mine at all, they should climb up." He told his owl before he gave the little tiger and snake a smile, lowering himself down closer to the ground, motioning to his back with his head, offering them is back.
Geia gave a smile, "He says he doesn't mind at all and that you can climb up." He translated for the group, wings giving a little flutter.

The woman was quite content after her appraisal of the owl, and brushed her hand once more through Ussuri's hair before turning and leaving with a wave and a warm smile. Hopefully this would be a success enough for her to use Ligeia's service again in the future. And hopefully Ussuri would have enough fun with the dragon so he may be more keen to have his own some day. She realized she really needed to re-read that paperwork.
When she was finally away, Ussuri turned his sharp eyes back toward the owl and his dragon, curious like a little kitten. He quickly jutted his chin up and set his mouth, showing no fear as he moved closer to the dragon. When Ligeia offered a ride, the feline toddler glanced to the other kid before gripping his hand into a fist.
He was about to answer when a series of noises came from the dragon, his ears perking lightly before the noises stopped. When Legeia confirmed what the dragon seemed to be saying, Ussuri simply gave him a look before moving closer to the creature. Running his hand across the scaled being, he was surprised to see his nails didn't even leave scratches like it did with his mother, and he gave a little grin before attempting to scramble atop.

It took Troy a couple of seconds of staring at the dragon's wings before he realized Geia had said something to him. Once he realized that, he blinked and turned his attention back to the babysitter. Troy had no real understanding of genders and gender roles, but all the same, he still assigned pronouns in his mind based on looks, and had immediately labeled Geia "she." I wonder if she rides the dragon...looks like she can fly, too, he thought idly before remembering why he was looking at the 'girl' instead of the dragon.
"Climb up?" he asked quietly, his voice sounding very unsure even as the fuzzy one climbed up. "It looks so cold..." Why does everything have to be so cold? he wondered. Nobody else ever seems as bothered...maybe they think it too but don't wanna say it? He made a little pouty face that was really more about what he was thinking than the idea of riding the dragon...not that anybody else could tell that.
Hesitantly, he reached a (gloved) hand out and touched one of the dragon's forepaws and rubbed a finger on a clawed digit. He did this for a couple seconds before realizing he couldn't tell if it was cold or not, so pulled off the glove and repeated the gesture.

Vorel watched as the tiger boy set to climbing up onto his back in a manner similar to what Maria often did and he lifted his front leg to give him a boost up, making it easier for Ussuri to get up. He then gave the boy a dragon's version of a smile before his attention went to the other, a snake... he didn't to bad, a lot nicer then the other snakes he knew for sure.
Ligeia was watching closely as well, smiling when Vorel gave Ussuri a boost before his attention went to Troy and he smiled, "He feels neat, doesn't he? His scales are smooth like glass, and his mane is pretty fluffy." He said to Troy, giving the boy a smile. He seemed to be a little more hesitant though he wouldn't rush him at all, letting him get used to things at his own pace.
"Once we get inside we will be heading to a fun place to play." He told the three of them, sure that Vorel would have as much fun as the two children would since he has a rather playful dragon, much like a really large dog at times with how he acted.
