For many of the earlier Final Fantasies female characters have been limited to supportive magic users, princesses in distress, and other secondary roles. In more recent Final Fantasies we've seen an increase in the strong female warriors and protagonists. This battle celebrates this break out for women as strong fighters by pitting two of the toughest female bad asses against each other.

Beatrix (FFIX)- The greatest swords woman in the land, leader of the all female army of Alexandria, and is known as the woman who felled 100 men. She is a powerful Paladin and wielder of the sword Save the Queen. She is only in your party for a short while, but she proves her fortitude and awesomeness for defeating your party not once, not twice, but three times.

Lightning (FFXIII)- Only the second female protagonist in a Final Fantasy game (Terra FFVI being first) She is a sergeant in the Guardian Corp and was scheduled to enroll in officer training right before the purge. During which in an attempt to rescue her sister Sarah she becomes an l'cieth, which grants her the ability to cast magic, and summon Odin into battle. Her normal weapon is a Blazefire Sabre gun blade, but her best weapon in the game is the powerful Omega Weapon.
