CoreTech Explained

As you probably already know, CoreTech is Code Wars' largest technology company, with branches all over the world. CoreTech is also the world's largest employer, with positions ranging from board members to janitorial staff. Below you will find a comprehensive break down of each division in CoreTech, including types of staff and products made.

CoreTech has one president, three vice presidents, and a Board made up of 15 shareholders and lead scientists. There are four divisions, each with a global head. In addition, each CoreTech branch has its own division heads who answer to the global heads.

•• Anti-Virus Division

CoreTech's second largest division, the Anti-Virus Division, or AVD as it is commonly referred to by staff, is devoted exclusively to anti-virus production. They routinely receive contracts from world governments and other large corporations for specialized programs. AVD employs a wide range of personnel, including programmers, decoders, technicians, and administrative staff. Before her death, Betsy was head of AVD at CoreTech Headquarters in Washington, D.C.

•• Malware Study Division

Affectionately referred to as "The Traitors," Malware Study is CoreTech's smallest division. They study how and why malware are made, and their data help AVD create more effective anti-virus programs. In addition to the usual staff, Malware Study employ psychologists and human behavioral analysts.

•• Organotechnology Division

OrganoTech is CoreTech's largest and most lucrative division, as they make products that are marketed to the general public. Organotechnologies are computer chips implanted into carbon-based life forms to enhance natural abilities or introduce new abilities. For example, chips can be implanted into human leg muscles to make a person faster, or into arm muscles to increase strength. Chips are controlled by the user and can be turned on and off at will. They are painlessly implanted, and painlessly removed. The most popular organotechnology is the brain chip that allows the user to connect to the internet; almost everyone on the planet has one. Organotech employs the full range of computer personnel, as well as physicians of all specialties.

•• Integrated Biosystems Division

IntegBio is a division very similar to OrganoTech, except that they manufacture chips for inanimate objects. These include building chips for security systems, janitorial duties, and environment maintanence; as well as chips that control almost every aspect of transportation. Basically any major industry that is not computer related probably gets their chips from CoreTech. Unique personnel to IntegBio include architects and structural engineers.
