In a world where technology reigns, this is where the ancient game of wits is brought to greater heights by merging with the latest technology. This board craze have spread all over the world, where many competitions have been set up, with teams forming to win the title and glory of the battle master, and the grand prize money.

In this game of chess, it is no longer a one on one gameplay basis. Instead, you will take the place as the pieces on the new life-size board. You will create your own character, and make your own moves based on your roles. In this game it's a test of both wits and strength; you plan, you strike, you aim to win.

Now there is the first international battle chess competition with an enormous prize of a hundred million dollars for the ultimate winner. Top teams from all over the world are invited. With the same gameplay and set of rules except for one new addition: players have no choice and say in the team they get.

Here, will you choose friendship or money? Or is glory and pride the only thing you're seeking?

|| Battle Chess||
Players will play in a battle arena designed like a chess board, about the size of two soccer fields. Each player can move a designated number of moves across the board at each time. Equiped with the latest technology, with a pair of headphones, attached mic and special visors, players move physically and create various spells and attacks or defense by their mind, which would than be transfered onto the visors of all players and the big screen for the audience. The mic is connected to separate channels for different teams, and each team will be able to hear their own members but not the opposing team. The queen gives his or her orders through this method. Each player creates a character with their name using a special network, and their powers increases with the time they play and amount of wins accumulated.

*Do note that all weapons and spells are imaginary and created by the mind, viewed on the screen/ visors by people through special technology.
Everyone is a normal human being outside the battle field.

NOTE: I played this similar roleplay about...3 years ago? And I really liked the plot. Sadly the person who create the plot couldn't be found, and I lost the thread link. crying . Thus I want to do a remake of it, but I'm changing some things here and there.

So idea creation credits belong to the starter 'battle chess' 2 years ago. ^_^

A team consist of 4 people, with a Queen, a Bishop, a Knight and a Pawn.

|| T h e Q u e e n ||

The Queen holds the leadership position in the team. Like the king in a traditional game of chess, whoevers gets to the Queen, wins the game. However, in battle chess, the Queen is held immobile at one end of the board, and directly opposite her is the other team's queen.

A Queen is expected to have great preseverance and leadership skills, and is someone that is strong both in the mind and physical body. They are the masterminds of the team. Normally the Queen is played by women, but there are men who take on the roles as the Queen.

|| T h e B i s h o p ||

The Bishop is like a mage, they are far-ranged attackers, preferring to stay at the sides and attack, or defend. They are normally the schemers, using wits over strength.

A Bishop normally uses wands or laces as a weapon of choice, which are magically enhanced to further their strength during spell casting. However, there are few bishops who uses swords, but those are limited to few high level bishops adept at both magic casting and close range fighting.

Each bishop have their own special elemental which they are really skilled in. Some can control two elements, few can control three, and there are only a handful that can control a variety of elements. There's a rumour that there is 1 that can do so, but at the end it might just be a rumour...

The knight, symbol of strength in a game of chess. Quite the opposite of a bishop, the knight tend to deal close-ranged damages. They can't use spells, though they can bring magically enhanced weapons into the battle field.

The knight are entitled to bring a weapon and a shield, or two weapons and no shields. Heavily armours, the knights aren't as swift as a bishop, yet the damage they deal on a single target is strong and hard. Most of the knights carry swords and blades that are magically enhanced.

Mostly males, there are few female knights in the arena.

The rook, in battle chess, is somewhat similar to a rogue or an assassin. Swift, quick and lethal, they are low on the defense side. Unable to cast spells, they can deal mid-range to close range damage, targeting one opponent at a time.

The rook often carries boomerang or dual knifes, magically enhanced as well, and don't tend to wear armour as armour usually adds weight which reduces speed.

Then when you post, roll once two 6-sided die.
The damage you will do will be your attack + 1st roll of dice
Whether the attack is successful will be dependent on the 2nd roll of dice. If it is number 1-3, the attack is dodged. If the number is 4-6, the attack is done.

The amount of damage suffered will be reflect in the hp like this:
New HP = damage total from the attack - own defense.

For spell-casting/ skills using, he or she must minus the mp usage like this:
New MP = MP - 1st roll of dice

If you decides to raise defense, do the same thing. Roll once two 6-sided die. [[only applicable to Bishop, Knight and Rook]]
The new defense (for 3 turns) will be your defense + 1st roll of dice
Whether the defense is successful will be dependent on the 2nd roll of dice.
If it is number 1-3, the defense is not done, and you can try it out in another 2 turns. If the number is 4-6, the defense is raised.

If you decides to raise speed, do the same thing. Roll once two 6-sided die. [[only applicable to Bishop and Rook]]
The new speed (for 3 turns) will be your speed + 1st roll of dice
Whether the raise is successful will be dependent on the 2nd roll of dice. If it is number 1-3, the raise is unsuccessful and you can try it out in another 2 turns. If the number is 4-6, the speed is raised.
