Riyo could hardly believe it...
It was just a couple days after her ordeal ended, and she still couldn't believe she'd never have to see her mother again.
Court had been rough. More rough than she ever would've imagined. Not only did she have her mom staring daggers at her, but Mr. McBane was ruthless. Nobody had ever been so successful in degrading her like that man...
Yet that hadn't been near enough to win that case. the evidence and testimony of everybody who'd been witness to what happened at the school... Even Atticus... All of it had made it a pretty clear ruling.
And thank God. It was like a little ray of sunshine broke through the miles of cloud above her, and was slowly sending the rest away.
She'd been smiling all day. Even though Riyo had been at work with all the perverts all day long, she couldn't stop smiling. Yeah. There was still a bunch of stress for what was to come... But... It didn't really compare to the fact that the years she had spent in fear were all in the past.
When the night was over, Riyo went through her nightly routine of counting out the money and locking up shop before finally exiting the little porn shop, still smiling...
But her eyes happened to catch sight of an interesting poster on the brick as she began to walk.
It was a concert poster for somebody called Blaak Kat. Riyo couldn't help but roll her eyes at the name and the creators obvious lack of spell check, but the art on it was interesting enough... And the date on the poster wasn't too far away. Maybe it was some sort of sign...

Klyde was currently wandering around town experiencing for the first time an odd sense of frustration. He had know frustration before but nothing like this as he filled out yet another job application. To say his father had been displeased with losing Riyo's mothers case was a bit of an understatement. In fact he had been rather furious and mostly with Klyde since he had really been of no aid, only making the matter worse, and was also seeing the plaintiff in this case. Klyde wasn't about to give in though and that only seemed to land him in a tight spot as his father decided to cut him off for the time being until he came to his senses. What a loving parent he was turning out to be.
So now strapped for cash and school funds Klyde was looking for a job. Thankfully he didn't need to eat and fresh blood always did taste better than the bottled stuff, but he was used to the grander way of life. A little spoiled perhaps having lived the high life, so trying to work with a budget was rough. Turning in his application Klyde took to the streets again, having some place he needed to be. He had told Riyo he would pick her up after work. She had given him the general location and the time and that's where he was going to be.
It took a bit of walking but he finally found the area Riyo had told him about, the few shops looking questionable. When he spotted her already outside looking at a poster he headed over. "Hey, how was work?" Klyde paused smiling down at Riyo as he came to a halt. Despite everything he was glad there was one less worry in her life and he wasn't about to share his problem to ruin it. He didn't want Riyo to feel bad when it was really his own doing. "So which place do you work at?" He had barely caught the poster in her hands but waited for her to answer this question before he moved on to that.

Riyo immediately looked up at the familiar voice, a warmth now added to her smile. "It was alright." She assured, temporarily forgetting the poster she held as she reached out to take his hand with her free one.
When Klyde asked which place Riyo worked at, her brows furrowed. Had... She not told him? Oh... Well...
"I Uh... Work at Sexy Stuf." She admitted reluctantly.
"Oh hey. Have you ever heard of this band?" What a great way to change the direction of a conversation. Maybe this really was a sign. Lifting up the poster for both of them to see, she looked at him expectantly. Riyo had never really paid attention to mainstream music or what was 'in', she just listened to whatever struck her fancy...
If she had actually listened to the radio, she would've known that the poster she held in her hand was of a band on it's way to becoming bigger than sliced bread.

Klyde's eyes went wide for a moment, "You work wher - oh hey...." But thankfully he had the attention span of an eight year old. Staring at the poster he grinned. "Yeah, I've heard of them, haven't you? They're all over the radio. They've got a lot of good songs. Supposed to be the biggest band to hit the stage in the last thirty five years." Looking at the date at the bottom and seeing it was soon, Klyde shot her a questioning look. "Do you want to go? You can see for yourself." He still had enough money left, it wouldn't be any trouble to buy concert tickets.

Thank God that had worked...
"They are?" Riyo asked as if in disbelief, looking back to the poster. "Sounded like some little high school goth band to me..."
At Klyde's next question, Riyo pondered. It had been a long time since she'd dared to attend a concert like that... Because while she liked the music, she didn't exactly like the people.
But Klyde would be with her. So it couldn't be as bad as going alone, right?
"... I guess if you wanna go too." Riyo tried to play it off like she wasn't that interested, but she really was. Something about it drew her in...
Giving his hand a squeeze, Riyo looked up to him before eying the direction they would need to go. "We can talk about it on the way back to the dorms."

"Sure," Klyde nodded as he started to walk in the direction Riyo was looking. "Maybe we can get something to eat before we go." Oh that's right...budget. "Like a burger or something since you seem to like that better." It seemed like a good enough save.
((Skippies to before the concert??))

On the morning of the concert, Riyo went through the regular routine. Wake up, shower, brush her hair, get dressed, browse the internet for awhile, brush her teeth, and head on out. Though... For some reason, she felt under-prepared.
It was a feeling she hadn't been able to shake for the past few days. Like something that would change her life was gonna happen any second. And so far, she assumed it would be change for the better. Everything else had been so far.
For awhile she'd been wondering how Klyde was doing after the trial. He acted like everything was fine... But Riyo couldn't imagine things were too hot at home with his father being the super douche he was.
And hopefully she wasn't making it worse by telling Blade about the concert. Riyo knew Klyde wasn't particularly fond of him... Maybe a little jealous, but Blade was very similar to her because they had both been loners for a long time.
The difference was... Riyo had somebody to coax her out of her hole now. And all Blade had was her. But she was working on it. She tried to take him out every once in awhile, show him a good time. It made her happy to have somebody who had an idea of how she felt, and she imagined her company did the same for him.
That night, she'd made her way to the place the concert was being held at, obviously surprised at the masses of people there. Klyde hadn't been kidding. This band WAS apparently pretty big.

A day or so before the concert, Shun had approached Mitsu, inviting her to join him there. He hadn't forgotten what he said about taking her to one of these after all. So when it was time, he came around to pick her up on his bike. The guy brought a pair of earplugs for her... seeing how her ears were considerably more sensitive than his own.
---
Having been told of the concert, Blade thought it might be nice to come along. He had heard of the band before, and their music wasn't half bad really. Not to mention he'd get a chance to hang out, which while it occurred more often as of late, still didn't happen all that much for him.
Making his way to the venue, the thief wondered just how he was supposed to find Riyo with the huge crowd here. Well, he supposed he could try to give her a call, but it was pretty noisy too. It'd be a miracle if she could even hear her phone ring. For now, he wandered on about, seeking out the girl, not knowing that Klyde would be around as well.

Mitsu was a little nervous about attending the concert considering what had happened at the New Years Eve party, but she was sure not to mention her insecurity. Instead she was just determined not to eat or drink anything and stay as close to Shun as possible. Everything would probably be okay anyway right?"
Leaving the dorm Mitsu threw on her jacket as she walked out the door and saw Shun standing next to his bike. "Hey," She waved to him as she approached zipping up the jacket so it would block out the wind on the ride.
----
The last few days for Klyde had been a disappointment to say the least. In all his applications he had been contacted for a few different jobs...and none of those jobs had lasted. He had started at a video store. The very first day he got in a fight with a guy over the return policy and ended up throwing all the dvds in the guys face. That hadn't gone over well and he was asked to leave...
He had been hired on at a restaurant which had worked out well for two days until a guy wanted to throw a b***h fit about his food not being just so. Klyde had almost mustered up the ability to walk away when the guy had called him a brainless leech, so Klyde had turned on him, dumped his food in the guy's lap and took up a fork ready to stab the guy in the temple. That...hadn't gone over well either....
Today he had been asked to leave his newest job at the candy store, not because of a customer issue but because he was standing around eating the candy in their down time. How was he supposed to know you weren't supposed to try things? The manager would have probably let it go but Klyde got a little too....defensive about it and threw a bunch of stuff to the floor. That..also hadn't gone over well....
So in a huff of frustration he made his way back to his dorm to change for the evening silently wondering if he would ever get a job. It seemed a little hopeless already. At least tonight he would get a chance to spend some time with Riyo, her face would brighten up his day a little.
Once he was changed and ready to go Klyde made his way to the concert, his ticket in his pocket. He had already given Riyo hers so that she could get in without waiting on him but when he got there he wished he would have asked her to wait....it was super crowded. Moving through the crowd as best he could he ended up bumping into someone he hadn't expected...or really wanted to see.
"Hey, watch it!" Klyde snapped turning around. "I ought to-" But then he saw who it was. "Blade? What the hell are you doing here?!" He looked displeased, something about this didn't bode well. Even if he was here to see the concert on his own it was likely he would find Riyo and want to spend time with her. While Klyde had no room to deny her that....it still pissed him off having this guy around.

Riyo was bound and determined to find her friends before she went in, not wanting to swim the sea of retards inside to find them.
Keeping her eyes open and looking in all corners of the large crowd, she tried to sort through the different scents in hopes of detecting a faint presence. Just something she could follow.
Luckily, it didn't take her long to catch a wiff of over-gelled hair and a familiar set of purple eyes.
"Hey!" She called out over the crowd, trying to wave him down. How lucky that he happened to find Blade as well... Kinda.
Pushing through the obvious groupies and guys with way too much eyeliner, she finally managed to approach them.
While her outfit was the usual loose jeans/black shirt, she'd used the hair clips Klyde had gotten her for Christmas to keep the hair out of her face... Apparently it was her idea of 'dressing up.'
"Haha, check out all the freaks here." She said a little loudly, knowing full well she didn't really have room to talk but the fact that it got a couple of dirty looks from the surrounding assholes pleased her. "You two ready to go in and swim in a sea of retards?"

Seeing Mitsu approach, Shun waved to her before offering her a helmet and the earplugs.
"You'll be needing these at the concert... It gets pretty loud," He warned while waiting for her to hop on. Once they were all set, he began to head on to the concert hall, hoping there wouldn't be too many idiots swarming the place. Unfortunately for him, there probably was. He was determined to keep Mitsu safe throughout this, not wanting another disaster like the New Years Eve thing. ---
While he was looking for Riyo, someone had bumped into him.. which turned out to be no other than Klyde. Well, he supposed he should have figured the vampire would be around too. Hopefully this wouldn't mean that there was going to be some problems tonight.
"What, am I not allowed to come or something?" he asked with a frown, "Riyo told me about the concert so I thought I'd come by."
Speaking of her, the cat showed up right about then. Grinning lightly at her, he shrugged, "As ready as I'll ever be."

When Mitsu approached Shun offered her the helmet she was accustomed to but also....earplugs? "For the concert?" Mitsu asked curiously. Putting the earplugs in her pocket for the moment Mitsu got herself ready to go and climbed on the bike behind Shun tucking her tail between them to keep it safe.
When they finally arrived at the concert hall Mitsu looked around curiously at all the people. This was a far bigger crowd than she imagined. "There's....a lot of people." She commented as she took the helmet off, the motion once again making her hair into a fine mess.
----
"S....she told you about the concert?" Klyde questioned. That sounded a little more like she had invited him. The vampire thought it was just going to be the two of them and not a group outing. About to say something else the feline in question found them.
"Did you invite him?" Klyde questioned, though his tone wasn't malicious. In fact it was a little pouty, feeling a sense of disappointment now that he wasn't going to be alone with Riyo.

A little stunned that 'Did you invite him?' was the first thing Klyde said to her all day, Riyo's eyebrows furrowed. "Yeah. I did." She said honestly, obviously a little hurt by his immediate inquisition. "Nice to see you too, by the way." If her tone didn't get the point across, her words certainly did.
Looking to Blade, then the only doors in currently flooding with people, she sighed. Hopefully her decision hadn't ruined the night for all three of them, not that she regretted it.
Pausing, Riyo reached into her pockets and pulled out discreet earplugs, popping them in with a little bit of effort because her ears wouldn't stop twitching. Didn't want to go deaf, after all. "Well, are we going?" She asked, shoving her hands back in her pockets and looking inbetween the two men.

"Yeah, they're pretty popular," responded Shun as he parked his bike and climbed off, "Just stick close to me."
When they were both off, he offered his hand to her. This way there would be very little chance of them getting separated, which was something he definitely did not want. While Mitsu had a fairly distinct look, her height could make it fairly easy for her to get lost in a large crowd like this.
"...Excited at all?"
--
Blade couldn't help but frown at Klyde's question to Riyo as well. It was a nice way to feel unwanted, which wasn't an unfamiliar feeling for him. Shaking off the feeling, he turned back towards her and nodded.
"Yeah, let's get going before all the good spots are taken up," he said while making his way towards the entrance.

"Okay, I will," Mitsu nodded taking hold of Shun's sleeve so that she knew she was close while she looked around. "Yeah, I am excited." She smiled. "I've never been to anything like this."
Fishing the ear plugs out of her pocket she looked up at Shun. "When should I put these in?" It was already a little loud. The crowd alone was enough to make her ears ring.
--
Sighing Klyde realized all too late how stupid that was to say right off the bat. "Sorry, had kind of a rough day." He looked a little defeated since it seemed Blade was going to be sticking around but he didn't say anything further about it. "Yeah, let's go." He nodded slightly fishing his ticket out of his pocket and following in beside the feline.
