Mayu settled down on the floor of the kido class room, pulling his legs up to sit cross legged. His sword was easily placed beside him and he brought out some Go stones to fiddle with I wonder who will show up. he thought, tapping his chin with a black stone as he stacked the others one on top of the others.

Mayu glanced up at the student who entered and stood, smiling. As he stood his robes distinguished him as a captain, not a student as some would assume, and of the 1st Division as well "Class hasn't started and you're not late either. I am Hokona Mayu, Captain Commander and your teacher." he said pleasantly, dusting his robes off. He got rid of his captains robes by setting to one side and slipped his hands into his pockets. His pants and shirt had overly long legs and arms and the whole attire made him look thin "You're the first one here actually." his Go stones went straight into his pocket were he was busy running them together with his fingers.

Mayu covered a smile with a sleeve covered hand as the boy dropped to one knee "If I'd wanted you to know, you would have known, silly student. I rarely wear my robes for that very reason. I enjoy walking around anonymously." he walked forward and sat down on the ground again "Would you please tell me your name? I don't enjoy just calling you student and I haven't the time to look up everyone by picture." he said as he held his hand out, creating a ball of spiritual power "Start with this first." he said, indicating the ball.

"Minami-san, then" Mayu said with a nod "Good job." he said with a nod and then he thrust his arm out at Minami. The boy would feel the slightest brush of air before a gust of spiritual energy would flash past him and blow open a window "And that, is Hado 1. Thrust. Focus the same energy that you did to make the ball of energy only make it more wave like. Also, do you know why this is the best attack to start with?" he asked, shaking his sleeves back down over his hands.

Mayu felt the wave of air but the great thing about being him was Total control. he thought. Not a hair nor a ruffle of clothe could be seen because Mayu allowed his spiritual pressure to weigh on him. That pressure outweighed the mild attack and thus, nothing moved "Thrust is more than just a simple technique. If enough force is put behind it, it can knock a sword stroke away, divert an air based attack and even act as a temporary shield." he explained and then stood once more. He reached down and drew his sword, twirling it carefully "Are you ready? I'm going to attack you and you must use that kido to defend. Draw your sword and you fail my class." Mayu said, smiling as he held the wickedly sharp blade aloft. A moment later he shunpo'd, immediately appearing inside Minami's space, the blade flashing at his chest. He was attacking but at a slower speed than his usual attacks so that Minami could actually SEE the attack.

Being able to easily slice through a newly found attack like that, Mayu loosened his grip on the sword. This allowed Minami's attack to knock his blade back "Good job, Minami-kun." he grinned as he slid the sword back into its sheath "You understand now?"

"Tons more. But not today." Mayu looked away, noticing how nice a day it was outside "Work on controlling the energy in the balls and on that first Hado." he said, walking to lean against the window that had blown open, enjoying the heat.
