Bon Appetit was so happy! She had finally gotten her bakery set up and now she had put the final touches on the cafe. She had spent all night baking her most delicious pies, cakes, cupcakes, and a multitude of other delicious confectionaries. She had no help to run it but she wanted get things started. She had enough baked that she could run it on her own for awhile. Hopefully she wouldn't make a mess of things. But Scent Puff said she would help if she really needed it. "Magnifique! I am open for biznez!" She walked to the doors and opened them up.

Frankly, Keela was a bit bored. She generally preferred to spend most of her time in the forests or mountains, but the only problem with that was that there was hardly ever anyone out there. So, in the interest of finding some potentially interesting Phony-watching, she decided to make a trip into town. As she walked through the town, she couldn't help but catch the delicious smells of a bakery. Had there been a bakery in this area before? Hm... The pegasus followed the scent to investigate, and discovered a quaint new bakery with the doors wide open. Interesting. Certainly smells good. She debated with herself whether or not to go inside, but in the end decided a peek couldn't hurt. Ah, I've seen her before, she thought to herself, recognizing the blonde Phony from when she was younger. Was this her shop then. "Mornin," she greeted with a small nod of her head. "Long time no see." What was this one's name again...? Ah well, she could probably get by without having to say it.

Bon Appetit smiled as her first customer walked in. How exciting! The painted phony had worried she hadn't advertised enough or maybe others wouldn't want to eat her cooking. No! She must not think such things! She was an excellent baker! She pranced over happily to the blank pegasus. She was the one that is Scent Puff's friend who was going to take her on an adventure.
"Bonjour! Welcum to ze Café Délicieux! We 'ave many wondearful zings to eat! We alzo 'ave coffee an tea to enjoy at a table. May I get you anyzing?
She motioned to the display case of the many types of baked goods she had to offer. Some are simple breads, glazed or buttered. Some are frosted sweets. And still others are intricately decrated items with hand formed fondant creations.

With the drew still fresh on the grass Sugar Plum had happily been up early enough to watch the sky turn from darkness to glorious pink then brightest blue, taking in the morning scents and watching the day begin as phonies young and old awoke to a brand new day. Her wanderings very rarely took her far from the town and she was heading back to her own lodging to end the growling in her belly that had started up not long ago. The only problem was that the more she thought on it, the more she began to wonder what DID she have in the carboard to eat? And then she was assailed by the most indescribable mouth watering perfume she could think of at that very moment. At full speed she followed her nose to the source, her pursuit leading her to a quaint bakery. It looked open, and there were people inside with the lights on and oh the smell. trotting in she glanced around and noticed a pegasus already in line talking to a dappled blonde. "What is that wonderfull aroma and is it possible to order one of everything?"

Bon smiled as yet another phony entered her shop and spoke of the delicious smells. That was the best draw, the wonderful smell of her baking. She had let the windows stay open just to let it out. She trotted over to the purple phony and nodded.
"Eet ez my bakeng that zmells zo good! And oui, you can buy everyzeng here eef you 'ave the money," she smiles and shows the purple phony her cases filled with lots of delicious things.

The accent momentarily caught Sugar off guard, when she was younger she'd me only one other phony with a similar dialect. French if she was correct, only meant the pastry would taste as fine a cuisine as one could get. "It all smells so good! I-I don't think I could actually eat one of everything thing..." She eyed the display cases hungrily, reading the labels of each product and finding each as tempting as the last.
"What do you suggest?"

Glancing at the girl's rear and seeing a plum made her think a bit about the phony's question. She looked over her dishes and selected a few. She set them out on a table for the filly to look at. "Oh! I deed not introduce myself. I am Bon Appetit, bakear extrodinaire! Zes are very nice zings. The first ez Plum Pudding, a chrismas dessert. Ze next one is a plum tart, very nice. Ze last one ez a simpeal Plum Cake." She thought the girl might like plum flavored stuff considering her cutie mark.

"No thanks, I'm good for now," replied when the other asked if she had wanted anything. While she wouldn't have minded trying something, she didn't exactly have anything to give in exchange for the food, so...
Not that it remained much of a concern anyway, for not long after another Phony entered the shop, drawing away the attention of the baker. The pegasus turned her own attention back to the food display. If she had had the money, what would she buy...? It was a tough call really; most everything looked good. "How long did it take to make all of this?" she asked curiously. If the other had been working alone, that had to take quite a good amount of time. And yet everything still looked very fresh. Had to be some hell of a kitchen she was working in.

Bon smiled as she waited for her customer to make her selection of the plum flavored fare when the pegasus asked a question. She giggled a bit as it was a fair question considering all she had baked.
"Oui, I backed eet all. I 'ave zeveral ovans an I can bake zeveral zings at a time. An 'aving hands 'elps too."
Being able to turn anthro had been a real boon to her cooking. Thumbs were a great asset when pulling hot things out of ovens and decorating her more gourmet cakes.

Hands? Keela didn't particularly see any hands on the other, but, well, whatever. "Good thing you have multiple ovens then," she remarked, not entirely sure what else to say. She'd never exactly been very good at making conversation, and she didn't have any money to buy anything, so... "Well, I hope this bakery thing works out for you then." She should probably be moving along by this point anyway. She'd come into town to Phony-watch, not stand around making idle chit-chat.

"Oh I zink eet weel! Oh 'ere! 'ave some free samples!" Bon quickly runs to the kitchen but a taller female returns. In order to carry the free samples tray she had to switch to her anthro form. Her cutiemark was still visable on her hip.
'Zere we go! Free cookies!" she held the tray out for Keela to try one.

Wait, what? How did she--? Whoa. Huh. ... Well that sort of explained a lot. "Ah, thank you," Keela replied, shaking herself out of her surprise to try one of the cookies. Mm, it was actually quite good. "Mm, you're a good cook," she said as a compliment. "I'm sure your business will do well."
