As the acoustic guitar plays the introduction of Welcome Home, the titantron shows the image of a sunset. As the sun sets in the video, the lights in the arena dim to black. A white light shines on the stage (to symbolize the moonlight) on Necurat, crossing his arms in an X across his chest, his feathered hat covering his face.

The screech of the electric guitar changes the color of the light to red, as Dion lifts his head, peering out of his mask at the crowd gathered to watch him compete. He slowly brings his arms to his side, then quickly throws a right hook, causing the fireworks on the ramp to run down to the ring.

"MAKING HIS WAY TO THE RING, FROM MINNEAPOLIS, MINNESOTA; WEIGHING IN AT 270 POUNDS, HE IS THE MERCENARY; DIIIIOOOOOOOOON NEEEEEEEECURAAAAAAAT!!!"

Dion raises his fist as he walks down the ramp, smirking at the audience's response to his entrance. Climbing the side of the ring, he enters between the middle and top rope, raising his gloved arm in the air to the thunderous roar of the crowd. Dion mimicked pulling a pin out of a grenade with his teeth, and making a throwing gesture towards the stage. The "grenade" explodes, causing the stage to erupt. He removed his cap and prepped himself for the match to come.

Major Devastation had been waiting in his corner and silently sizing up Dion while waiting for Harli. When the third competitor slated for this match had come out, only to announce that he was withdrawing, the Marine had to admit he was somewhat disappointed...he had been looking forward to getting a chance to avenge his loss at The Crusade, but the show must go on.

The Texan would make his way to the center of the ring and offer Dion a handshake before the the contest officially got underway.

When Dion accepted the offered handshake and returned to the corner, the bell rang and the match was now underway. Major Devastation would start things off by challenging his opponent to a test of strength.

In an effort to get a better feel for his opponent's capabilities, Major Devastation offered little resistance to Dion's push or subsequent headlock attempt. Once in the headlock, however, the Texan would attempt to deliver a pair of quick punches to the ribs and, if successful in loosening Dion's grip, would then quickly try to shove his opponent off of him and into the ropes.

When Major Devastation launched Dion into the ropes, he was prepared for - well, expecting actually - the possibility of a rebound, and kept his eyes on his target...er, opponent, and tried to shoot in and catch a waistlock on the mercenary's return trip. If successful, the Marine would attempt to lift him up and deliver a Double A Spinebuster.

BAM! The spinning spinebuster hit home with authority. Trying to keep his momentum rolling, Major Devastation would try to "help" Dion back to his feet in order to attempt to deliver a snap suplex.

The Marine bounced backward, catching himself on the ropes as he nursed his jaw, only to be clotheslined over the ropes a moment later. The impact with the concrete floor knocked the air out of Major Devastation's lungs as his back arched from the pain.
