The gargoyles in New York were thriving freely and remained mostly out of the human's sight. There were many refugees from other countries who traveled long distances or were bought by the millionaire Xanatos. Silwanin was one of the refugees brought here from her island home in a antique auction. A man grinned as he looked down at the New York skyline, for he was a collector of gargoyles and wanted all of them from around the world and this place was his next target hearing about the recent sightings on TV. He had to have them he was a billionaire and he searched everywhere for the gargoyles but he did manage to get some of them from England, Japan, and Argantina now he wanted the ones in New York.

Silwanin stood on the edge of Xanatos' castle and spread her wings out streching them out with a yawn. She had gotten used to the city and the resident clan which she was still a bit nervous about being around them. She was different from them in many ways she was very quiet and her skin was cyan blue instead of the darker colors of the resident clan with darker blue tiger stripes. Silwanin dived off the edge in a graceful swan dive and spread her wings out catching the wind currents and glided toward the city.

Marbas sat perched on top of the Brooklyn building and then stood up his backward legs flexing the scars and stripes stretching he spread his arms which flexed as well the shackle's chains clinking and then spread his wings and in one motion bent down and thrusted his wings down quickly and took off straight up into the sky leaving a small indent in the roof of the building and then started flying up the side of the large building thinking he noticed something flying away he shifted his wings and followed...it was fast but not fast enough he saw it was a gargoyle he didnt know what to say so shouted "kaltxì!!" he hadnt talked in years his voice sounded alien to him

She heard the voice and swooped near Marbas, "Kaltxi" she said to him amazed to see him. Silwanin smiled and glided beside him, "How do you know my launguage?" she asked curiously though she hadn't heard it in so long she was wondering if anyone would speak it again. She watched him for a moment noticing his striped skin wondering if he was from her clan.

"i cant really remember but i do know that it was from a tribe i was part of" he scratched at the large burn seal on is chest "cant remember much after that...I'am Marbas...who are you?"

"I am Silwanin" she said, "I'm sorry you don't remember you look like you came from the Tskaha clan." She smiled at him, "Well you can hang with me until dawn when I have to return to Xanatos' castle to sleep." Her wings were still spread all the way out catching all the wind she could glide at a comfortable speed beside Marbas.

Marbas placed his hand on his broken right horn"the name sounds familiar" Marbas swooped away a little bit and opened his wing span the tears whistling in the wind"Xantos...the wizard? you think you could introduce me, ive been meaning to talk to him but kinda got side tracked" sweatdrop

"You mean Xanatos? He's not much of a wizard but he might be able to help you" she said, "I can introduce you to him" Silwanin twirled folding her wings giving her momentum then spread them again.

"aynga lu nìwin"his wings then spread out above his head like they were reaching and then struck them back hard and zipped ahead passing her by a few feet"slä fuke fula nìwin"he laughed as his wings whistled more from the speed

She chased him in midair laughing flapping her wings a bit getting a bit more speed then dived toward the city encouraging him to chase her like they were playing tag. Silwanin wasn't very aware of the local clan at the moment and was enjoying her new companion.

"hahaha"he swooped his wings to his side and dove at a perfect angle getting close but no that close she was lighter and thinner so fell faster his hair wiping and his tail wrapping itself around his waist"i love this game"he said his accent as clear as the moon light

She laughed, "Me too" she said letting the moonlight brush across her wings and blue skin. "It feels so good to be free and let the wind flow through your wings and face," she said. Silwanin swooped down at him teasing him into trying to catch her.

Marbas locked his wings into a dive pose and swooped down below her grabing the top of her tail for a moment "your turn" he beat his wings again and soared back up as if trying to get to the moon"ha ha ha"

Silwanin growled and went after him flapping her wings several times and glided across the moon. She caught up to him and grabbed at his foot from below.

"huh"from the single touch Marbas's was hit by a river of images at once, they were memories he grabbed at his broken horn and the large seal on his chest and fell a few feet almost missing a building and then perched on a large flag pole while it bent a little under his weight"Silwanin, i remembered something he" looked up and his eyes flashed yellow for a moment and then dulled back to white
