Erishi was snooping.
It was something she was good at, after all. Poking her nose around, Erishi hummed while bouncing Shammi. The chameleon girl didn't seem to happy about this, as she was making angry noises.
"Plants, Shammi?"
"Grmbh."
"Shammi should perk up! It is nice in here, and you don't have to wear your playsuit!"
"Blergh." Shammi was not amused.

Like it or not, Rex floated in on his new hoverboard, a gleeful expression on his face. The boy was testing out his gift, and was it great fun, though he did not try to attempt going fast, or even too high. 5 feet was the limit for now; Birvan was right, the gravitational pull was nauseating at first, but the boy had slowly been getting used to it, though not his poor twin.
Thus the floatingness, he was not going for speed just yet.
Not far behind, Silencer bounded up the stairs and streaked past, a large lumbering raptor-dragon-reptile of multiple hues of black, brown, blue and white. Definitely in greften form.
Come on, you can't expect to be a flying ace going at that speed, can you? The greften teased, circling Rex and a rather green tyrannosaur.
"You know I can't, Mom. King's not used to this yet." The boy pouted. Not like he wanted to go this slow.
Silencer gave a grunting chuckle, before bounding ahead of her boy. Poor King, he was almost the same tone as the grass. It wasn't until she turned around that Silencer saw there were a couple of others in the area. A new guardian? Didn't seem familiar to her...
Hullo! Silencer greeted in thought-speak, the only form of communication she could manage in this form.

"Look, Shammi!" Erishi said, loudly. "Lizard Cousins!"
"Blrt?" Shamilade blinked as Erishi carried her over. She somewhat remembered this large brown blob!
"Hello, lizards!" No one had ever accused Erishi of being politically correct. "Have you come to have a party with Shammi?"
"Ngrht." Shammi grumbled. Erishi was going to ruin any chance she had of making friends with the large brown blob!

Silencer winced, her headfeathers flattened against her skull. Boy, was the girl loud. She stopped herself from acting nasty at the word 'lizard' just in time, and resolved to whipping her tail furiously back and forth.
H-ai. I'm Silencer, and you are...
Rex, too, had jumped at the sudden loud noise, and almost lost his balance. The boy lowered himself and grabbed the board just in time, and, stabilising the board, turned off the engine and hopped off. With a push of the blue button in the middle of it, the hoverboard seemed to shorten in length.
Gathering the board in his arms, Rex sighed in relieve, and made his way towards the small group yonder.
King was just too glad to be on solid ground again, and color seemed to return to his face.

"Erishi!" The girl replied, adding more bounce to her steps as she walked towards Silencer. She jiggled Shammi a bit, still beaming. "This is a Shammi! Say 'Hello!' to Silencer, Shammi!"
"Grmbh." Shammi grumbled, staring at the approaching blob. "Kiii? Weks?" She asked, somewhat unsure. Wasn't that what Ike had called the blob?

Erishi? Nice to meet you. Silencer smiled, opening her jaw in a dog-like manner, making her look like she was grinning, which in fact she was. And you too, Shammi.
"Mom!" Rex called out as soon as he reached the trio, the hoverboard secured safely in his arm. The boy spotted Shamilade in Erishi's arms, and his face brightened up at the familiar face.
"Oh hi Shammi!" Rex replied to the chameleon mishap's attempt at calling his name, resisting the urge to pat or ruffle her hair since the little one's guardian was carrying her.
"And hello Shammi's mom." The boy grinned down at Erishi.
Erishi.
"Oh. Hi Miss Erishi!"

Shammi made grabby motions towards Rex, whining. Giving him her best 'Can't you see there's a lunitic holding me' look, she kept grabbing. "Weks!" She whimpered.
"You," Erishi said, pointing with one metalic finger, "are rather large, Weks." Her voice was gravely serious. "And Shammi seems to want to crawl up you. I would try to, but I think the back of your head would attempt to eat me."

Rex blinked at the little mishap in Erishi's arms, and gave Shamilade an expression that spelled 'I'll try'. Well, it would be rude to just snatch her away from her guardian, wouldn't it? Besides, Mother would definitely not approve.
Shifting his attention instead towards the guardian, Rex laughed at Erishi's statement and shook his head. "You won't want to, King doesn't like people touching him."
"Oh, and I'm Rex. Not, er, Weks." The boy added, as a correction. He nodded, smiling at Erishi.
"I met Shammi at the Christmas Ball last time, she can crawl up me if she wants. King definitely won't eat her up."

"Here, have a baby!" Erishi offered, holding Shammi out. "As long as your 'King' doesn't eat her, we won't have problems. But if he does, I'm coming in after her, and you don't like that."
"Weks! Kii!" Shammi grabbed for Rexier's clothing with all four limbs, her tail lashing.
"And she doesn't have teeth, so you don't have to worry about her biting you." Erishi added.

"I'll guarantee that." Rex nodded, grinning down at Erishi. Reaching out to Shammi, the boy took her carefully in his arms, patting the child's head gently.
"Hi Shammi. Remember King?"
Remember him or not, the tyrannosaur did remember Shammi, and once again the reptile rumbled on comfortingly, both to the little mishap and to himself. For, the next moment, what came out of his twin's mouth was more than good news for him.
"Oh Miss Erishi, mind if I take Shammi for a spin 'round the place on my new hoverboard?"
Rex... Silencer frowned at her child. Not a good idea to fly around inside a building. Especially not with a baby in your arms.

"Go wild!" Was Erishi's only word, giving the tall boy a thumbs up. "Every baby should have adventures!"
Burbling happily, Shammi attempted to crawl up higher. She examined Rex's hair before craining her head around to see King. Closer to him, he kind of looked like Shammi, but brown! "Haaaai, Kiii!" She called, patting him.
Wait... Was was a hoverboard?

"Thanks!" Rex returned a thumbs up of his own, bouncing Shamilade slightly. With a glance at his mother, the boy grinned, turned and made his way towards a small clearing not too far away from the two guardians.
You be careful with that board of yours, young man. Silencer sighed and shook her head, smiling. Trotting over beside Erishi, the greften flopped onto the soft ground. Ah...
I must salute you, letting your child be flown around by someone you've just met. Silencer chuckled, and turned to face the girl. How are you? And what're you doing here, if I may ask?
King chuffed, and craned his head, attempting to lick the chameleon girl. He let out a low squeal of delight as Shammi patted him, and made to nuzzle her small hand.
"Krr..."

"Keee!" Shammi said with delight. "Kii, Weks, Ammi!" She cheered, giving him another pat and Rex's hair another pet. Her tail curled happily while her free hand waved around in the air.
"Aww, Shammi will be fine! Babies are tough and made of rubber, so she would bounce if he dropped her! Besides, her feet and hands are very grabby. She would cling on for dear life and make friends with Rex's King. Shammi is very friendly." Ah... What was Erishi doing there?
"Snooping!" She said with enthusiasam. "When I snoop, good things aaaalways happen, except when bad things do. Like getting shot."

"Haha. Hang on, Shammi!" Rex gave the center blue button of his new hoverboard a squik tap, releasing the hoverboard as it extended in length. The boy also softened the ground, turning it air-cushion like so the board would not be damaged from the fall.
When all was well, Rex hopped onto the hoverboard, and started up the engine. Without a warning, the board came into life, and hovered a few inches off the ground, waiting for further instructions from Rex.
King yipped in surprise as the trio was lifted off the ground, clenching and unclenching his tiny arms. Here we go again.
Back at Erishi's side, Silencer nodded and chuckled at the girl's exlanation on the tough and rubbery nature of babies. It was a strange and untrue explanation, but... oddly enough, babies do seem to survive through tough conditions despite their supposedly 'fragile' nature. Suppose what Erishi said was true...
Snooping, eh? What's there to snoop about? She asked, head feathers perked in curiosity. Your arm... was it the result of.. being shot? Silencer added, tilting her head Erishi's metallic arm.
