Little tidbits of trivia pretaining to Phantom of the Opera.
Example: Because she wore a corset during filming, the only thing Emma Rossum could eat was icecream because it was able to slip down her esophagus when it melted.

It's almost as hard to decipher between true or false as it is hard to decide who the real Jack the Ripper is.

I know small movie Trivia. Gerard Butler was in a band and some one saw him and that's how he was nominated for the role. Andrew wanted to hear him sing and Gerard came in for an audition. When he sang music of the night Andrew enjoyed, but Gerard was very nervous and kept calling... It's been a while since I've read it, I can't remember who. How embarrassing!!! *sweatdrop*

I heard that Gerard Butler wanted the role but was very nervous and went to take singing lessons. After his 2nd or 3rd lesson his instructor told him to call the people at the studio and tell them he wanted the part because his instructor was convinced that he was ready to play the Phantom.

-Erik's son in The Phantom of Manhatten is Pierre -The mask was changed from a full mask to a half mask for the play because the actor could not express enough emotion covering the whole face, and it brought to much attention to the mouth -When Lon Chaney was unmasked, some people in the theater fainted -You should keep your hand at the level of your eyes because if your hands are at the level of your eyes, you can keep the lasso from hanging you. -Emmy Rossum was sixteen when casted for the role. Just a few-I have more I'll post later... Miss Daae

In Carlotta's dressing room there is a large portrait of her holding Andrew Lloyd Webber's head on a platter.

The "real life" Chagny's had a third brother named Erik. If Leroux;s research was done, it would imply that indeed Erik was Raoul's brother.
I remember reading that somewhere, I've been trying to find the site. I'll get it to you guys sometime soon.

Patrick Wilson did all of his own stunts.
The lit candelabras that rise from the water were not done with special effects or CGI lights: the special wicks ignited when they reached the air. This effect was done in one take and didn't work again after that.
