He had made sure to be extra careful, and extra prepared for this: the assortment of containers varying from buckets to bowls to pots and pans filled to the brim with water lining the empty classroom's walls was proof of this. Merope had made sure to find an empty classroom devoid of anything and everything, including desks and chairs. Most of them, anyway – he left a few chairs and a few desks as a place to sit on.

After he had finished setting up the classroom, Merope had sent out the message on groanspring were the training was being held. He hoped others showed up – he didn't want to try training his minipet alone. Speaking of...

Merope knelt down onto the ground and waited for his minipet to step off of the thick leather glove he retrieved from the lost and found just for this purpose. The wyvern in question looked up at him quizzically with golden eyes. Merope rarely took him out, given that he breathed fire! The boil took a deep breath. It was Go Time.

"Rathalos," Merope said, trying to attract his minipet by calling his name. Sure, his full name was Rathalos, King of the Heavens but he didn't need to puff up his minipet's ego at the moment. He swallowed the knot in his throat as the red wyvern looked at him its long spiked tail gently waving back and forth as it waited.

"Sit," thye undead boil commanded. Would it listen?

Quote:

Minipet Training!
You don't have to do this if you don't want to. If you'd like to shake things up and roll off a prompt, here's something I'll be using for this ORP:

1 - Your minipet reacts poorly to your command! Unfortunately, you hit yourself with your discipline tool, and your minipet still looks like it was mortally offended.
2 - Your minipet reacts poorly to your command! You correct your minipet with your discipline tool successfully.
3 - Your minipet seems distracted. Try again.
4 - Your minipet seems disinclined to acquiesce to your request. Try again.
5 - Your minipet is watching you, but doesn't understand. Try again.
6 - Your minipet studies you for a moment, then does what you request.

I personally post what I'm asking the mini to do+rolling, THEN RP out the result rather than roll first, RP second~

IN ORDER TO USE THE WHIP, YOU NEED TO HAVE PARTICIPATED IN MINIPET TRAINING! Otherwise, feel free to bring a squirt bottle, can of coins to rattle, or just correct your minipet with a sharp verbal command. :3

Merope stared. Rathalos didn't hiss or grow or try to spit a fireball at him! Instead, the little wyvern looked rather... intrigued? Interested? Either way, the wyern tilted its head to one side and looked at the boil in befuddlement.

"Sit!" Merope repeated, reaching with his whipless hand to push down on the wyvern's rear. The Wrathalos hissed, but crouched down with the pressure. "Good boy!" Merope praised him, relieved. Whew!

Amrita hadn't really wanted to do this, mainly because she knew the one organizing it was a fellow undead; but after her fears were quelled with the promise of lots of water, she thought it might actually be a very good idea.

Thus she showed up to the training room Merope had picked out, DC following behind her on his own accord, no leash needed. The first thing she noticed? Merope was touching the Wrathalos. Touching a fire pet. He was...he was so brave!

"Ooooh..." She breathed out in pure awe, inching closer to the boil while giving his fire pet more than enough room. "How did you do that?!" Of course, she meant have the bravery to touch it, but whatever! DC wasn't too interested in anything going on around him, instead choosing to duckling after Amrita; though he was staring at the other pet if only to make sure it didn't try anything near his Master.

Merope had been babbling on about the extra minipet training for awhile, so it was no surprise when the dracolich ghoul had been informed he was actually going through with the idea. She'd gladly come along, expecting full well to start putting Star in the right direction for learning new things.

Unfortunately Star was particularly sleepy and she hadn't been able to
find his sleeping spot in her gold pile. So she was stuck with him.

Rick. The bane of her existence. Though, maybe this would help. She'd been sitting back and watching Merope deal with Wrathalos, seeing that he'd managed to get the whelp to do as commanded. So she looked down at Rick, and commanded "Stand up!" the lazy Lepus guide had been sitting on his bottom, chewing on a candy of sorts. It looked up at her, and seemed to consider her request.

"Aoi...s-stop tha..t! Aoi! Quit it!" Junko winced and fought with the foxsquirrel wriggling unhappily in her arms. She knew he didn't like to be carried without his consent but she needed to get him here without him running off! And that was best done with her carrying him! The foxsquirrel was not pleased. He growled and yelped and scratched and clawed and snapped his little jaws at her, trying to free himself from his owner's grasp.

Finally Junko found the classroom and let herself in without much warning, too concentrated on trying to keep hold of her foxsquirrel until she was in the room to care about asking for permission to be let in. Once she was inside she finally set Aoi down on his feet. He hissed at her and raised his shoulders in displeasure, his head lowering and his tail lashing. He was not Sayuri or Kuro! She couldn't just carry him around like some kind of baby!

"Ah...hello! Merope, right? I got your message on groanspring!" She explained lamely, keeping a wary eye on Aoi who was staring intently at the dragon minipets as well as the weird green rabbit. Oh, Jack...please don't try to fight them...!

Rick just stared for another moment, before popping the candy into it's mouth and swallowing.

"Did you know, enough creeps are made every year to circle the world?" it asked, glaring at the dracolich. For a moment Cyrilla pictures the fanged bird mallow like things lining up around the world, before shaking it off.

"You suck, Rick." she frowned.

Merope looked up as Amrita approached, removing his hand from Rathalos to wave at the ghoul. "Hey! Glad you could make it... Amrita, was it? Hey Cyr, Junko!" He waved to them, too, then showed Amrita his secret. "Rathlos here has some pretty sharp talons and actually accidentally clawed me a couple times. I looked in the lost and found and found some gloves, actually -- they're what I used to touch it. Rathalos is too spikey to pet with my hand." Yep, he wasn't aware that she was asking about something completely different.

Rathalos, on the other hand, perked up when the other minipets showed up. It began to hiss, rising up from its crouched position to flare its wings. "Rathalos! Easy, boy!" Merope commanded.

The Wrathalos didn't look too happy about the situation, its hiss becoming louder. Through its opened jaws, the crackle and bright light of fire could be seen. "Wrathalos! No!" Merope lashed out with his whip, catching the wyvern on the back.

Upon being touched with the whip, the fire dissipated from its mouth. It wavered on its feet, managing a step before flopping over and curling into a ball, asleep. The undead boil stared, then released the breath he had held. "Huh," he ventured, "Guess the whip really does work."

Merope glanced around, and raised his voice to announce, "Just in case a fire does get out, ladies, I've prepared a ton of buckets of water. I placed'em against the wall, so I guess if a minipet gets thirsty they can drink from those too...?"

It had recently came to her attention that while Rosenthal might be good and well-behaved in her point of view, the pink/purple Pata-Pata was not as civil to any student without a chest - as in, he does not entertain anyone who is a boil or at least, anyone is a boil but doesn't shower him with attention... After all, he is well-behaved around ghouls. Just not boils.

While Jimmy was the one she had brought to class, she decided that Rosenthal would be the one to benefit from this student-held training class. After all, the Pata-Pata was in need of good social skills - both with boils and with other Minipets.

"Here we are, Rosenthal," Lizzy smiled, patting the Minipet clinging onto her shoulder gently, "I'm sure you'll make friends!" Walking over to Merope, she smiled, "Thanks for organizing this... Um, Merope?" She was sure that was the boil's name.

Rosenthal smiled along with his owner, trying his best to look good... But deep inside, he was already eying Amrita, ignoring the dracolich completely - she would give him pats!

Junko waved to Merope but she still looked wary...and there was a reason for that. The moment Rathalos hissed, Aoi hissed back and stood as intimidatingly as a tiny little foxsquirrel you could sit on and crush so easily could be. "Aoi! Stop that! ...Please?" If it weren't for the please at the end he may have obeyed her, instead keeping his focus on the spiky dragon thing and the fiery dragon thing. They were bigger than him. Bigger and dangerous...er.

"Alright. That's a very good idea, Merope! All things considered..." A glance was cast at Death Charm. It didn't look like a bad pet! Especially with the way he trailed so obediently behind his mommy...poor little dragon thing. But he was fiery, and fire plus undead equaled unhappiness for all. "I'm sure if he gets thirsty he'll let himself over there...that or dive into the bowls and cause a big mess." He'd totally do it too. Little b*****d. Junko sighed, rubbing at the back of her neck as Lizzy walked in with a cute little mini. Awww! How precious! Junko turned to coo to the little minipet on Lizzy's shoulder, but her movement caught Aoi's attention and he tore his gaze from the dragons to his owner.

...Oh no she did not!

He hissed and ran at her, headbutting her ankle and latching onto it with his teeth. Junko let out a cry and jumped away from Lizzy, reaching down to lift and pry him by the scruff of his neck. "Ow! Aoiiiii! Please don't bite me!" She really wished Sayuri's whip would work on him! Ugh. She'd have to go to Professor Malcolm about this later. But for now? She wanted to at least try on her own with her peers.

"No problem," Merope replied to Lizzy with a nod. "I figured we could all try to help each other out, though I gotta confess it's all guesswork to me now." He laughed, shrugging. Serves him right for not paying attention in class, really!

He turned to Junko and nodded, frowning at the thought of a mess. "I'd rather not," he confessed, "Rather not have him make a mess at least. I'd kinda like to have those buckets of water just in case..." Nevermind that there probably was a sprinkler system, but then again given the current admin of the school... Did the sprinkler system even work?

Merope looked up as he thought, jumping and looking around as Junko cried out. He raised his whip, then stopped. He just used it on Rathalos -- it wouldn't work on this mini, right? "Are you all right?" He asked, worried.

Meanwhile, Rathalos staggered to his feet and shook his head. Where was he? Where was his owner? Meh. As far as the wyvern was concerned: out of sight, out of mind. It stretched its wings and tucked them in, looking around before staring.

With slow, measured steps the Wrathalos began to sneak towards Rick the lepus guide, wondering what it was. Or if it was tasty.

"Hey Mer," Cyrilla called over to the leviathan boil. She then smiled and greeted the other ghouls who had shown up, before shooting a witheringg glare at the Lepus. Unfortunately for Cyrilla (or perhaps fortunately, depending on how one viewed it), Rick had taken interest in other ventures, pulling himself to his feet and padding over towards Lizzy and Rosenthal. The green lepus shoved another candy into it's mouth before walking right up and poking the poor Pata-Pata in the nose. Suddenly, the fur on the back of Rick's neck stood on end, and it turned and saw Rathalos just, looking at it.

"... Did you know a small or young dragon is called a dragonet?" it asked, nervously. Oh dear.

Cyrilla, however, became momentarily distracted by Junko, watching on as the poor girl was taken out at the ankles by her own minipet. She heard Merope's voice ask if she was alright, but the silly boil didn't move to actually help. Somedays she wondered if Merope was as clueless as Aymet. The dracolich scooted over to the smaller ghoul, and offered a hand to help her up.

"Do you need to go to the nurse? That was a nasty fall." a thin line of worry was formed on her lips. They just were not off to a good start with this yet.

Twitch looked rather uneasy.

Which...honestly was nothing really new for him. But when the small boil walked into the empty class the reason he looked particularly uneasy was clear to see.

The minipet he had brought with him, a Glomeece named Schiz, seemed not so interested in being trained and FAR more interested in hanging off of Twitch's tail. By his teeth. No amount of shaking, twitching, waving, or ..well ANYTHING that caused his tail to move seemed to shake the creature from his tail.

Thus it was a wail that met the classroom, mostly directed at Cyrilla.
"CYYYYYYY! Why did I let you talk me into this?!"

Schiz was still clinging away.

As much as she wanted to be a social student, interacting with them out of the classroom was something that constantly terrified her. She had a nagging fear in the back of her head that she would be rejected by her peers. She only felt comfortable in situations where she had to be responsible such as at events. Running for the student council, student council sanctioned parties and the Krumm car fiasco required her to take an active role. It was easier when she felt it was her duty. Here she felt like a fresh corpse out of a grave, not knowing where to shamble to or how to act.

She walked in as quietly as she could and placed Witch down on the floor. The little minipet was still a bit shaken up from the fire that took place in the training class. Rain had her whip in hand and kept it near the minipet so that she could draw from it. Professor Malcolm said that it would make the training process slower so her whip may not evolve as fast but she really didn't want to hit her beloved minipet unless she had to.

"Witch, I would like you to sit," she stated as sternly as she was able.
