So for the longest time I've been seeing these ads about the "Fushigi magic gravity ball" but I really don't understand what makes it so "magic". As far as I can see, it's just one big marble with a reflective chrome finish. Anyone mind explaining to me what it is that makes this ball so special?

You pretty much hit the nail right on the head. There's nothing special about it. Last time I took my friend Dean back to his place, his roommates and I played around with their Fushigi and watched the tutorial. Because the surface is so smooth and symmetrical, if you can get the technique down pat enough so that you don't move the ball when you're making all the arm movements, then it appears to be floating in mid-air. It's naught more than an optical illusion.
I'd hurt like a b***h if you threw it at someone, though. Thing's pretty heavy.

Really? *watches video again* Honestly I don't see it neutral I was and still am watching it thinking "what's so special?" To me it just looks like these people fondling a ball like a hooker on a scrotum. IDK maybe it's my depth perception.

It's a weapon! You use it by throwing it at people.
