Tandotti, growing older, had grown more bold in her explorations. Sure, she didn't move too far from her fathers' den, but she did move further then she had as a cub. The young juvenile bounced as she walked, her smile bright and her head held high, taking in the sunlight streaming down from the sky. She was happy that day, for no particular reason then she simply was.
She had slept well, she had eaten well and she had gotten a quick cuddle in with her daddy before she left that morning. A good start to any day! She giggled to herself, wondering if she was going to run into that boy from before. He had been a friend when she was a cub, but she wasn't sure if he was still around.
Either way, today was going to be a good day, she decided firmly. Her mind was made up and she was sure it would be perfect. The young juvenile was determined that way, even if the rest of the world might have other ideas. She dropped herself into a pouncing pose, and leapt onto a nearby patch of grass, giggling as she did so - she'd missed it by at least a foot, but didn't seem to care.

His heart left him wandering through the forest, leaving the Father who kept him from the more acepted Pride for more interesting scenery...
He peered over a log in the path, watching a small swarm of bugs scuttling away into the shade. His hips wiggled in the tell-tale cat way before--POUNCE!
Several bugs flew into the air, humming thier wings in agitation and fleeing the young male.
Kalii held down one big beetle under his paw and finally squished it, licking and as he did so his face curved into a tart unsavory expression.
"BLECH!" he shouted, drinking from a nearby pond; his face still twisted from eating the nasty bug...

Tandotti's ears twitched as an odd sound reached them, her head rising up and trying to spot what had made the noise. It sounded like another animal, but nothing she recognised straight away. Curious, she tried to scent the air, to try and follow it, but she found no unfamiliar scent - too young to really smell anything distinctive.
She began to shift. "Hello?" She called out, hoping because she'd heard them, they would hear her too. Hopefully they weren't dangerous, else she'd yell for her daddies and run.

His ears perked at another sound... Something like himself. Anoher cub, the voice too far off to tell distinctly if it was another male or not. Certainly not grown though!
He thought of how his father would bring back other cubs from prides and pillage in other ways he was not aware of... Certainly he could bring back a cub and be more influential in the pride!
His eyes widened almost completely blackened by the pupils in anticipation as he slunk toward the sound.
"I'm here!" he spoke, hoping for another reply to find the young one with.
If I bring one back like Dad... I'm sure to make an impression on him!
His thoghts were fantasies of bringing back another lion and his fathers approving paw resting over his shoulder , maybe even a nudge of approval?
Afterall... none of the lionesses in the pride were his mother... That thought made his eyes re-focus on te ground in front of him.

Tandotti blinked in surprise, and moved towards where the reply had come from. It sounded like another cub, she was sure! How odd, she hadn't seen many other cubs around. Perhaps they would be a friend? She perked up, and moved more quickly towards where the other cub was.
She spotted him at a distance, and hesitated. "Hello!" she called out, to get his attention, so he would close the distance between them, rather than her moving towards him. She gave him a hesitant smile, nervously waiting his response.

Kalii's eyes watched ehr carefully, spotting her, his ears twitching instantly, as though he had seen a new born doe to chase after.
"I'm Here-" he spoke, head perking, less of a stalking motion. He took the first few seps forward, stopping a little ways off ot see if she wanted to come any closer.
Kalii let himself sit, lieing down to show his lack of threat to her and playfully swished his tail. He did nto mind a good romp...but the voice was rather ... female. He sniffed the air instinctively before his ears went to their nervous twitching again.

When the other cub - a boy from what she could tell - came a little closer and sat, she realised he wouldn't close the distance between them and that she would need to move forward again. She cast another paranoid glance behind her, before shifting forward again, closing the last of the distance between them. She kept her nervous smile on her face.
"Hi," she greeted, shyly. "Do you live near here?" She asked, shifting. Well, that was a good question, she decided, perhaps his parents were nearby too.
