Lissa paced the clearing she regularly visited, just outside of the borders of her lands, trying to clear her head. So many things were concerning her and she didn't know how to handle it. She was weak, her herd was as well. They played tricks on enemies but that would only last so long. She had to find warriors and have them join her herd. Without them, she along with her herd would surely die.
Lissa's pacing continued and she drifted into her own world, trying to resolve her issues.

He knew not why he had chosen to stop here, of all places, but the stallion, weary of travelling, weary of being alone had. Perhaps it was because the clearing, though not the home he had once claimed, was similar enough, in scent and terrain and vegetation, that he could relax, and attempt to imagine that he was back in that place, that time of safety. Not broken and alone, as he currently was.
He had settled for a time when he first heard the sound of semi-dry grass as it was crushed underhoof. When the wind brought an unfamiliar scent to his sensitive nostrils. Quickly stumbling to his hooves, he turned in the direction the sound and the scent was coming from, his body tense, prepared to fight if the intruder was hostile.

Lissa heard hooves fall behind her and her muscles tensed up. Someone was near her. She assumed it was Timothy, planning another prank. It couldn't be anyone else. No one would pass through her lands without her permission. Right?
'Would a kalona ask for permission?' Her mind teased her. 'Or a skinwalker?'
Lissa shook her head, strands of her mane coming undone from the braid. She sucked in a deep breath and moved slowly towards the direction from which the sound came. In her mind she knew it was not Timothy. The steps were too heavy to come from an Usdia. That meant only one thing, someone was intruding.
"Come out now and show yourself." She called, not daring to step any further in fear of an ambush.

His ears swiveled back and forth taking in the sound of the voice which had demanded- albeit waveringly- for him to come out and show himself. The stallion snorted. High pitched, nervous- female, and he considered the words and tone closer, probably young. At least, she sounded younger than he. He sighed. She didn't souund hostile, though sounds- as much as appearances could be deceiving. Wonderful. He certainly hoped this would not turn out bad. He hated having to fight females.
Sighing, he moved in the direction the voice was coming from, carefully counting his steps and learning the terrain so as not to injure himself.Just in case he needed to get away in a hurry. He had no idea how far the female was from where he had been, and so only took a few paces (around five or six) hoping that it was enough.
There were times he cursed his handicap. This would be one of them. He had no idea where the mare was, whether or not her fear was an act or not, and any other number of factors. But he needed to know, and to learn, he would have to expose one of his weaknesses, something he hated to do when he was uncertain.
"Is this close enough?" He kept his voice calm and level. "I'm blind, so you must forgive me for not being able to tell."

Lissa fear whisked itself away when she came to look at the stallion before her. A unicorn - surely he would not harm another. She watched him as he carefully moved towards her, stopping a few paces in front, an obvious defense tactic, but one that was necessary.
"Yes," her voice had softened and she clicked her hooves on the ground softly so he'd know where she was. "Close enough."
Lissa tilted her head to one side and watched him cautiously, wondering how he'd survived so long without sight - assuming he was born with it. Could he fight? He was travelling alone, that should say something about him at the least.
"Well, then." She cleared her throat, raising her head for a moment before realising that was a stupid movement seeing as he couldn't see. "I must know why you're in my lands."

Giolladhe sighed. Young, naïve, and idealistic. Not a good combination. He could not, in all good conscience let it be. The mare was likely to end up hurt or dead, if she continued to live her life as she was.
He hated to play the villain, but it was more than needed. Perhaps it would help her to grow up some, be able to survive. He drew himself up to his full height and sneered menacingly. One step, two, three. He was close enough now to take in her scent and be able to find his way closer, to scare her if need be, though he truly hoped it wasn’t necessary.
“Your lands?” He snorted. “So where are the borders, the guards… If these lands truly belonged to you, then it would not be so easy for one to simply waltz in.” He walked deliberately closer, hoping that he was facing her, or this performance would have been for naught. “If these lands belonged to you, and you were any sort of leader at all, you would not let an unknown get so close to you. Appearances can be deceiving, darling, and you never know who might be more or less than they appear.”

Vasilissa contained her sigh with all her might. He was right, when it came down to it. She had no way of defending her lands. Tricks only worked for so long and even then it was never a guaranteed way of protection.
Breathing in deeply and squaring her shoulders, she glared at the stallion before her. Regardless of whether he was right or not, he was still trespassing and intimidating her. She wasn't going to stand for that.
"I'll defend them myself if I have to. No harm will come to those who look up to me, so long as I can fight. That I can promise you."
