Lissa was pacing the same spot over and over. She had overheard soquilli talking about battle strategies and had not understood a single word.
This had completely destroyed the good mood she'd gotten from the praise Valentino had given her about how well she was doing and how fast she was learning.
All of it would mean nothing if she did not know how to win a battle - violent or political. She had no idea how to turn situations around to her favour. She was really beginning to feel useless.
Flopping down onto the ground, she groaned and gazed upwards. "I really wish father was here to teach me." She smiled. "I'm sure I'd be an amazing leader that way."

 Nicotine gently came up to the small clearing in the forest where Vasilissa had been wandering... and subsequently pacing around like a worried father expecting his first child. He stopped, his eyes taking a look over to the pink lady. intrigued by her youthful appearance but it would seem that she had the burdens of one of the older soqs in this land. "Is something bothering you?" he asked her with a bit of a smile.

Lissa turned around, frightened by the sound of hoofprints. Just her luck to be killed when she was starting to get the hang of being a leader. She came upon the familiar face of Nico; she'd met him briefly once before.
"You scared me." She took a deep breath, calming herself. "I'm terrible with strategies. Battle, politcal anything, I just can't get my head around it."
She sighed and flopped down onto the ground, feeling slightly defeated. "I give us one more week until we're killed off."

The odd male chuckled slightly. "It has been a while." he replied with a bit of a smile. "Oh? What trouble has fallen here?" he asked, his ears perking up.

"I've got a rather nasty mare on my borders, threatening me and my herd. She's gone for now, but I can only hold her back for so long without an army." Lissa sighed, her shoulders sagging. "I honestly have no idea how to do this."

"An army?" he asked her, raising an eyebrow. "Wait wait... So, she's encroaching on your home?" he asked to make sure. "Why though... Isn't there any method of negotiations?"

"I tried. She wouldn't listen to reason and made it very clear she had no intentions to. Were I any other species, I would've had a very nasty scar on my rump from where she attacked me."

"Hush my friend." he replied to her and motioned her over to the path for them to talk it over. "Are you sure you want this my friend?" he asked her, rather in a worried tone.
