With the school day over with, Shun was wanting to get in a little bit of guitar playing before having to deal with homework. He hardly worked on that stuff, but he did enough to get by. At least he did well on the tests.
His instrument was slung over his shoulder while he headed out of his dorm to head into the music room. Once he was outdoors, he paused and looked about. It was a passing thought, but he figured he may as well try and find Mitsu to see if she was interested in joining him. The assassin generally didn't play with others, but he had the feeling she may appreciate this sort of thing. He wasn't really aware that she hadn't touched the piano in months though.
So before making his way to the music room, he began to scour the campus for the wolf girl. With any luck she wouldn't be in her room... but it couldn't be too hard to get by Tobi he supposed.

Mitsu was actually seated in the courtyard of the school, book in hand scribbling notes of some sort on a piece of paper. She would have to meet Suto a little later so going back to the dorm would be pointless, she would be too afraid to leave. So instead she sat by the pond in the middle of the courtyard and focused on her homework for the time being until that time rolled around. He hadn't been as interested in her lately, which was fine with her, but it had her worried that the scientist had someone else in mind since he always seemed to be planning.

Spotting the girl in the courtyard, Shun made his way over towards her. It seemed like she was working on her homework at the moment, but he figured he'd ask her anyway. The stuff she's working on may not be urgent or needed to be done right this moment.
"Hey Mitsu," he said softly once he was right by her, "I'm about to head into the music room... would you like to join me?"

Looking up as Shun approached Mitsu smiled a little, the thought of later looming on her mind. At least she was getting better at hiding her fear and anxiety. She had lots of daily practice. "The music room?" She questioned. "S...sure." Mitsu didn't know if she would attempt to play or not, she still hadn't played in a while but her fingers did ache to make music.
Putting her books and notepads away, Mitsu zipped up her backpack and stood to face Shun. "Lead the way." She continued to smile hoping music would help take her mind off things.

Nodding to her, Shun paused as she seemed a little hesitant in coming. He didn't know why she might not want to join him and that made him a little antsy. Though she was packing up her things and was ready to come along, he wanted to make sure that was what she wanted to do.
"If you don't want to come, that's fine," he said quietly, doing his best to hide the hint of disappointment there.

"W...what?" Had she not been able to hide her hesitance? "S..sorry. It's not that I don't want to go." She said as she started to head toward the music room. "I guess I'm a little distracted, but music sounds like a good idea. I would really like to listen to you playing the guitar." She smiled a bit more as she looked at him.

For a moment or so Shun stared at Mitsu before nodding to her and starting on towards the music room while thinking on what it might be that was on her mind.
"If you need help with your homework... I could try to help later," he offered, deciding to go with one of the lighter reasons why she might not all be there. His poor grades weren't a result of being dumb... just that he was a rather poor student to didn't do his work most of the time. Though, he knew she was pretty smart so needing help probably wasn't what was the issue here.

"Uh, sure," Mitsu nodded. Homework really wasn't the issue but she really didn't want to explain what was on her mind.
It didn't take them long to make it to the music room and when they did Mitsu set her stuff down in a chair waiting to see where Shun would sit. "So what are you going to work on?" She asked curiously.

Once they were in the music room, Shun slung his guitar down carefully before taking it out of its bag. He went on to start seeing if it needed to be tuned at all before he had to begin.
"Anything that comes to mind really," he replied, "It's... kinda how I usually go."
Seeing how he wasn't able to really read sheet music all that efficiently and didn't have any sort of music player, he would have to go with what he knew and do things on the fly.
"You're.. free to join in if you feel like it," he added quietly while glancing to the piano.

Mitsu smiled as she took a seat beside Shun her eyes focused on his guitar. When he offered for her to join in that smile faded slightly as she looked toward the piano. "I...I think I'll just listen...if that's okay." She said hesitantly looking shyly back in his direction. "I...haven't played in a while." She finally admitted after another moment's pause.

Pausing with the tuning as she mentioned she hadn't played in a long while, Shun looked to her, blinking.
"You hadn't? Though... that shouldn't stop you if you want to play," he said quietly. Was she worried she'd be rusty? He wouldn't judge her playing either way. But... it was her choice in the end if she wanted to or not. Feeling that he was all set, he started to play. It began on the softer side as he was warming up, but gradually increased in its pace. The song didn't seem to resemble any one thing or another as he was just going with whatever felt like a good idea at the moment.

Mitsu nodded slightly though she didn't make any type of effort to head toward the piano. Instead she stayed where she was at listening to the tune as Shun began to play. He played rather well and it seemed he was really good at coming up with stuff on the fly because she hadn't heard the tune he was playing.
"You play really well," She commented with a smile, her gaze still focused on his guitar. The way his fingers moved along the strings had her mesmerized. While she knew fundamentally how to play the guitar she was fairly certain she wouldn't be able to play it so easily.

"I'm not really all that great," Shun replied quietly as he continued to play. The tune shifted here and there, not really sticking to any one thing. In a sense it reflected how he felt, unable to really make up his mind or figure out what it was. As he played, he began to start losing himself in his thoughts.

His music seemed to be a little conflicted, changing here and there. If anything it still reflected her inner most thoughts but she continued to smile as she sat beside him. Intrigued by watching him play she allowed herself to get lost in the sound as she watched his fingers dance back and forth on the neck of the guitar. "I think its wonderful." She commented softly before she glanced over at the piano awkwardly. A part of her wanted to go sit there and try to play, another part of her feared the kind of music her fingers would produce.

There was a sort of confusion to the music he played, and it was a little more apparent as he delved deeper in his thoughts. Shun snapped out of them, though, when he heard Mitsu's words. Looking at her softly, he noticed her eying the piano somewhat. Something was keeping her back.
"Thanks.."
As he looked at her the music shifted to something a little softer as well, though there was still a little bit of a struggle to keep it to one thing or another.
