Poasting idees, guize. Serious Business. Feel free to post, but only if it's to give your two cents on a plot's playability.

PLOTS SO FAR:
Immortal You
Stand By Me
PostPosted: Wed Jan 26, 2011 8:43 pm

Name: Immortal You, Or, how to Kill a Vampire in 3 Easy Steps
Genre: Medieval Fantasy / Action
Summary:

There's a reason they call them Immortal. Those who have conquered the Earth, who are immune to all weapons that man can forge. Swords turn aside against their thick skin, shields crumble against their beastly strength, and we can only hope that they'll kill us quickly, instead of reducing our fallen cities to something like a human cattle ranch. And the worst part of it is: They look just like us.

To be fair, they were a cave-dwelling species a few generations ago. They hunted by night, which stuck around in an unusual weakness to light, and preyed on anything with blood. Those horrible bodies of theirs can magnetize the iron in blood, drawing it out of your body and into theirs using just about any body part, and forget about trying to use an iron sword against them, since they're sure to simply repel it with that same magnetic body. It was an almost perfect defense, even against the species that stood a chance against them.

They're dead though, that one glimmer of hope. We call them Giants, since we've never seen one, but the stuff they made is of considerable size and weight, all using a special ore with a magnetic force stronger than the Immortal. It was a priority of theirs to keep the Giant's Tools away from us, and due to that swift and decisive move, the war that rocked the continent a decade ago was quickly ended in their favor. For all intensive purposes, we are completely at their mercy.

Name: Stand By Me
Genre: Modern Fantasy / Brawler
Summary:

[Uses the "Stand" concept found in Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Read more here.]
Across America, odd letters are being discovered by people with almost nothing in common by anyone's account, all perfectly normal and free from any troubling details in their past that might warrant a notice that reads,
"Due to your unseen potential in the realm of warfare, your presence has been requested by our patron's scouts at his mansion two weeks from now, a location that shall be disclosed in a later letter only if you sign your name on this letter. Financial compenstion will be given to those who attend, and those that do not shall simply allowed to forget that this invitation was extended. Do not attempt to bring this to the media's attention, unless we should have to protect our most secret event at a dire cost."

It has been two weeks from that date, marked by unusual murders around the country that are all connected by a most ominous fact. Every victim held an unsigned copy of this letter, and were scheduled to have an interview with a local news source. Elsewhere, the brave and the foolish are beginning to gather in the woods, according to the letter's instructions, awaiting further directions from their shadowy observer.

If I could get more info on the first idea you have, Immortal You, I might be interested in joining that one. Seems to be interesting so far from what I see.

Immortal You is set in a world not too different from out medieval Europe, heavily forested and littered with a good variety of landscapes to wage war over. Coincidentally, a war for that same territory ended around 30 years ago, when the Immortals overtook both the Humans and a third sentient race known as the Gigeo, but most people simply call them Giants. Now that everything has settled down, the Immortal rule over humankind in a mock monarchy, headed by the tribal leaders that lead their troops into battle, while the surviving members of the human race act as both a working class and a walking meal to the bloodsucking victors.

At the end of the war, the Immortals (Known as Untrelanders at the time) destroyed the Giants and their specially crafted weapons, rendering them invulnerable against any rebellion that humans may have planned. Or so they thought.

I'll give more info than that later, but for now, I'm being called away from the computer.

Name: Uprising: A Musical Adventure
Genre: Musical Fantasy
Summary:

Based on the world found in a previous board, Concerto 13. Though it ended after only 10 pages, players parted on generally good terms, willing to play in this universe again.

Years after the fight to determine Bob Marley's successor, the seven continents were thrown into chaos. Without warning, the concert hall was taken, and the national treasures were released into the world by a group of unusual musicians. With the power now in the hands of seven individuals that have tamed the monsterous Songs, world order has been lost, and the time of the Conductors is at an end.

Apart from the political turmoil taking place, Noise pollution has reached an all-time high, making formations of Noise known as Distortion appear across the globe. The traditional ways of Music have been lost, and with few remaining Artists to craft new Songs, Covers and Remixes have become all too common in battle. If we are to survive, something must be done to right the wrongs in the music industry.

This is the story of a small group with that mission. Pure Artists, weilding true Songs, each with a goal all thier own, and all aiming to take on the evil of the world with little more than will power and talent. When order has crumbled and the Genres split apart, it takes one hell of an Uprising to bring things back to order.

Alternately, the idea of a remake of the original Concerto 13 world has been nagging at me for a while.
