Sports ClassHaving made her rounds around the game courts in the sportive area, Anarish Raghknackdesh took her time towards the garden. The raptor-like creature was one of the newer staff members taken in by the adoption agency as part of the teaching staff.
A glance at the digital stopwatch hung around told Anarish she was still early, so the raptor kin took a stroll in the garden, weaving her way amongst the snow-covered patches of vegetarian while waiting for the arrival of her students - she hoped there would be an arrival, despite the strange place she had picked for her first lesson. Out in the snow, would anyone even come?
At least one did. A tall, tan figure, besting the sport teacher's height by a good one-half feet, appeared from the doorway of the main building, wearing a casual combination of t-shirt and short pants - surprisingly little for the cold outdoors. Looking around him for signs of any living being, the said figure let out a short 'ah' as he spotted Anarish, and quickly made his way to the garden where she was, an ever-present grin on his face.
"Hullo!"
Behind Rex, King chattered on to no one in particular. The tyrannosaur seemed significantly calm and relaxed, the snow no longer bothering him. Chewing on a piece of meat he had kept in mind not to finish off in a single gulp earlier, King rumbled happily to himself, a very satisfied t-rex that morning.
"Oh, hello." Anarish chirped and blinked, and watched the approaching mishap in disbelief. He couldn't have been just a kid...
Anarish regained her composure, and snaked her way towards the edge of the garden and pulled out the class syllable from a small stack of paper on one of the seats, handing it to the boy upon his arrival.
"Thank you." Rex took the double piece of paper and scanned through it, taking note of the teacher's name(wow, complicated name) and... ooh, basketball!
"Miss Anarish... um..."
"Just Ana. We can do off with the formalities." Anarish winked at the boy, craning her head slightly to the side. Wait a minute, there was something about this new student of hers...
"Okay, Ana. I'm Rex" Rex grinned at Anarish, and, noting her behaviour, chuckled, and turned around slightly. "My twin brother, King."
"Nice to meet you Rex." Anarish smiled up at Rex, though she did jump slightly at the sight of King. A tyrannosaurus rex - she hadn't seen them in a long time. Turning to look around the grounds for signs of other kids, the raptor kin added, "We'll wait for the others to show up first, then the lesson will begin. Meanwhile, feel free to walk around and stretch your legs for a bit, hm?"

"Damned winter.. Freakin cold.. Stupid snow.." Deimos grumbled on his way out to the sportive area. His usual pirate attire was gone, replaced by pants, a sweater and scarf. He never did quite like the cold. He kicked a patch of snow, looking up. Two dinosaurs.. SInce when were there two?
"Lo, King. Lo Rex." He said, giving his scarf another round around his neck, pulling his cloack around him. When would spring come already..

"Dei! Rex! Kiiiing!" Ike panted as he loped toward them on all fours, his breath billowing up before him. He was wearing very little clothing, only a t-shirt and shorts. It was times like these when he loved having fur.
"Hi, everyone. Sorry I'm late."

Deimos turned his head at Ike's call. "How can you not be cold, Ike?" He asked, genuine curiousity in his tone, his hands deep inside the pockets of his sweater. He very much disliked the cold, and the ice. He just really wanted spring to come.

Anarish smiled as Dei and Ike appeared.
"Hello, kids. Glad you can make it to the class." Fishing out a couple of the class syllabus, she handed them to first Deimos, then Malachi. "Here you go. Inside you'll find the rules, list of subjects taught and list of what you may, or not bring."
Rex's face brightened at the sight of his two friends. Placing the class syllabus on the bench and weighing it down with a large pebble, Rex scampered off to meet Dei and Ike. "Hi Dei! Hi Ike!"
"Hruu! Aff!"

Shrugging his shoulders up high as to keep himself warm Deimos, took the paper, skimming it before shoving it into his jacket pocket along with his hands.. "So we're supposed to do sports in this kind of weather?" He asked, sounding rather disgruntled with the chill.

"Oh course!" Anarish chirped crazy as, perfectly at home with the cold despite being reptilian. Tilting her head at the child, the raptor-kin clucked apologetically at Deimos as she noticed his discomfort.
"You are... not accustomed to this weather, I presume?"
Rex was frowning, a hand to his face as he stroked an imaginary goatee. Something was not right there. For a while the boy could not figure out what it was, until at last a light bulb switched on in his mind.
"Dei, aren't you fire elemental? You should be able to make the cold go away." Rex spoke suddenly. "Right?"

Deimos just gave a small grunt in response to Anarish's question. He looked around the snow and then at Rex.. Boy had a point.. Extending his hand out, a fireball sparked in his hand, but the warmth didn't extend to him.. He grunted and extinguished it.. "Not yet.. I can just make firebals and those aren't bit enough.." He said, disgruntled at his failure..

Ike shrugged at Deimos and grinned at the teacher, skimming through the syllabus quickly.
"Ooh...this kinda looks like fun," he murmured. As far as he knew, he wasn't much of an athlete...but at least he'd be with friends!

"Try, child. Focus and picture a fireball starting up in your chest, and spread the warmth of the flames to every end of your body. You'll feel better in a short time." Anarish suggested, and winked at Deimos.
"Yes, try. Pirate Captains can do anything!" Rex encouraged, giving Dei a thumbs up and moving closer to Ike, who seemed perfectly at home in the current weather.
Captain? Pirate? Blinking at Rex, then Deimos, the raptor-kin's face registered a temporary blank before Anarish shook her head and collected herself.
She beamed down at Malachi's enthusiastic look, then clapped her hands together to get the attention of her small, three-membered class.
"Alright. Before I begin, let me ask a question first. Are the three of you the only kids around here?" She asked, turning and bobbing her head around in feigned animation, looking around for signs of other mishap kids.

"They're lot's more of us.. DUnno where they are though, probbaly smart and stayed indoors.." Deimos said, giving his scarf and extra twirl around his neck.
'Come on you sissy.. Try to warm yourself up, or we'll both freeze..
Grunting annoyed at the demons voce he decided to try. Imagining the flames within him, he opened the door to his power.. It spread, quickly, and the snow at his feet melted, the hem of his scarf starting to smoke before Erebus provided intervention, keeping the magic at bay so Deimos wouldn't burst into flames. He had the power, but he lacked control..
'I'll keep the magic at bay, but you owe me! I need to teach you control, not that idiots can be taught..'
'Oh jsut shut up...' Deimos though snidely, though, he felt much better now that he was warm.

"Oh, just shut up!" his ears folded back and his eyes grew wide as he peered up at the teacher, "Not you."

"Oh! My! Gosh! I'm late!" A squeal came off into the distance as the smallest mishap flew in the direction where the others were. Behind her following on it's own, was a large red wagon, inside was a cooler, some towels, Al, and binder with a small bag of pencils. Aphrodite herself was dressed in a set of gray sweat pants, white t-shirt, pink zip up sweater, and a pair of sneakers. " Oh! I'm so sorry, I'm late! I didn't mean to be.. I had to take my medicine and it took longer than expected!" She sighed as the wagon stopped behind her, flying down she picked up an envelope. Using air magic she kept it afloat as she moved her way towards the teacher. "This is a note from my mama, I'm Aphrodite... He's Al." She said as she pointed towards the small grat plushie in the wagon. "I know I'm not supposed to bring him, but my mama said it was ok as long as he didn't get in the way.. so he can stay there and protect my wagon."
The envelope contained a note from Catherine. Catherine Hello, As the Sports Teacher I think you should know that Aphrodite has a bit of a condition where she needs to drink nectar every few hours ( around meal time ). Inside the cooler, there are bottles of water, and various kinds of nectar, in case she gets sluggish. She's small, but has a large independance streak, so even if you tell her she's too small she'll try to do it, a bit of a heads up warning! ;D thanks, Catherine Moonfire

First Deimos peered at Ike.. He'd jsut thought the exact same thign to Erebus.. Coincidence.. Soon after though Deimos looked over at Ahrodite's cry and waved, much more energetically now. He was very toasty now, though he was unaware that his skin was burnign to the touch. Erebus' magic was the only think keeping him from being lit aflame, not that he knew. "Lo Smalls."
