Cool story, bro ~ Got an opinion? That's great! Eddie doesn't give a jackdamn, though. Easily bored with others, he has a tendency to wander away if the conversation does not interest him, no qualms about it. Some could perceive him to be a bit of a jerk, and perhaps they may be right. He just doesn't care very much about some things people have to say. Opinions about him? He also doesn't care; the most defensive he'll get is to ( very firmly ) tell you he doesn't give a damn about what you have to say. He has no desire to go out of his way to impress others because as far as he's concerned, if they don't like him then they aren't worth the time.

On that note, interestingly enough, he has his opinions on others, but he doesn't solicit them unless asked. And they're nothing too descriptive anyway - mostly along the lines of "she's boring" or "he's annoying". Straight to the point, he sees no need to dress things up with fancy words, as he has better things to do than gossip. There's no real moral code about it, whether or not it's right or wrong or anything. He just thinks it's a waste of time.

This is not to say he isn't interested in making friends. He just has such high standards that it is hard for him to easily connect to others. Having similar passions or meeting someone who is especially pushy in things ( somebody needs to light a fire under his tail feathers ) might move things along. If they contribute towards his dream road trip, then all the better. He'll sit through your Jack-awful piano recital if you have a sweet ride, sure!

Hey ghoul heeey ~ Eddie loves ghouls. Perhaps a little too much. He enjoys flirting with ones he finds interesting, most of which fall under the category of those whom he can't seem to figure out. He is no fool, but he is subject to whimsy over any number of pretty ghouls at once. He is not attracted to ghouls who like to gossip too openly, and finds those who are reserved/quiet the most interesting to pursue. He also doesn't know how to take a hint, should a ghoul decide she is firmly 'not interested". Eddie will simply take it as "playing hard to get". Probably the most persistent he will ever get in anything, it will take a slap to the face or some very, very scathing words to get him to back off.

This is only if he is very interested in you, however. Otherwise he will admire from afar. This could probably explain why his last ghoulfriend was back during his primeerie school days. If you could call holding hands during recess dating, anyway.

Cool is a state of mind ~ To others, Eddie's detached, above it all personality makes him seem cool. Perhaps he thinks he's cool himself, and in regards to anybody asking him how he stays so chill, he simply answers "cool is a state of mind". Most of it stems from the fact that he does not go out of his way to impress others, but he somewhat clings to this when it comes to some of his hobbies that are considerably more, shall we say, typically uncool. He's been into Dungeons & Humans ever since he was a kid, and nowadays still likes to play a game every now and again ( although with his desire to maintain that "cool" air, he often insists to be the Dungeon Master ). He's also pretty tech-savvy and is on his PreC and skellyphone all the time, being a pretty modern boil. He also likes to say he doesn't care about what others think of him, but he won't deny the fact that he enjoys other people thinking of him as cool.

Want to make a fuss about it? Eddie will give you the one-finger salute.

Lighten up ~ Despite his Jack-may-care attitude, he's more observant than confrontational on any means. He prefers to go with the flow and let others initiate things because he can't be bothered to do so himself most of the time ( unless it is a very intriguing ghoul who has caught his eye ). However if somebody's continually harshing his good time, he'll be the first to tell them to chill out or shut up, if that's what it will take to lighten the mood. He won't sit there and constantly rag on somebody to shut up, but having said his piece ( and he will only say it once, so listen carefully ), he will sit back and let others take it from there. He has a certain lazy quality about him that comes through loud and clear in most things he does. It takes a lot to get him riled up - a lot. Good luck finding his triggers.

So that means.. ? ~ Eddie is not the brightest bulb in the box. But he also sees things he cannot understand from the get-go as more interesting or a challenge, so he'll pursue them in his own aloof way. Not exactly doggedly, but he will stick it out until he has things figured out. Being so blunt, he's easily confused when folks dress up words. He also struggles a lot when it comes to his studies - well, half from this and half from his own lazy attitude.

. . But where are we again? ~ Never ask Eddie to play navigator. He has a horrible sense of direction. He can read directions or a map as often as he likes, but the information goes in and out of his head like a sieve. At some point, he'll turn himself around, getting lost anywhere from a few minutes to a few days. One such adventure when he was a child had his family pretty sure the forest had eaten him.

On road trips, he prefers to be the leech who sits in the front seat and falls asleep, doing absolutely nothing to aid the trip whatsoever.

Hobbies & skills ~ As mentioned, Eddie is pretty into ghouls and also technology. He's pretty into video games ( not the best at them, but they're a fun distraction ) as well. His biggest hobby is an interest in building things and mechanics. For as laid back as he seems, he likes the idea of building or fixing something to only see it work again. Funny thing is he's not too bad at it. He loves motor vehicles especially, and hopes to own some kind of motorcycle someday.

Also, being a bird of treasure, he's a bit of a hoarder. His room his cluttered and full of anything that looks remotely gold-like and shiny.

A lover of music, he's always got something playing. When he's walking down the halls, headphones are always at the ready. He's pretty open about his taste in music, but he prefers classic rock and glam rock. His favorites include Aorta (Heart), Tyrannosaur (T. Rex), The Haulees (The Hollies), Electric Fright Orchestra (Electric Light Orchestra), Thom Perry and the Hearttakers (Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers), David Booie (David Bowie).. and seemingly out of nowhere, Johnny Crash (Johnny Cash). Hey, gotta have respect for the Man in Black.

This is less a hobby and moreso a bad habit, but he also smokes regularly. He started stealing smokes from his dad pretty early on in life. He says he can quit when he wants to, and he can, he just.. can't be bothered.

Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? Simply put because he's not as, shall we say, industrious as his family would have wanted. His parents hoped the school would light a fire under his a** so he'd become a productive member of Halloween society. He has other plans though: road trip, here he comes! He's looking for some road trip buddies - namely somebody who will drive. And has the vehicle. And the money.

Natural Ability: Shapeshifting ~ Eddie has two forms: a human form and a bird form. The bird is larger than an albatross, with golden plumage, a rounded head ( similar to a falcon ), and a tawny two-pronged ribbon tail. The feathers shine like gold.

Flight ~ Eddie has a pair of wings on his back and he's not afraid to use them. On top of letting him lazily drift from place to place, he also thinks they make him look cool. The downside to it is he hasn't practiced flying in his student form too much, so it's quite an awkward sight to see, outside of drifting.

FEAR: Headlights ~ Eddie's eyes emit a hypnotic light that draws the target to either stop moving or follow him if he walks off. The duration of this ability lasts about 10 seconds in his first year, but will increase with time and practice. The target must have seen his eyes in order for this ability to work, and the success lies mainly in the notion of completely surprising them.

However, the main downside has to do with the times outside of battle. His eyes are especially sensitive to glaring lights, so he has to wear sunglasses at all times. This attack does not work well against those who are blind ( if anything, they may feel a faint tugging sensation ).

Physical Description:
Eye Colour: His sclera are a dusky gray, with sharp orange irises and a hollowed-looking pupil.
Hair Colour/Style: His hair is shaggy, piecy and feathered looking, with strands that look similar to spun gold ( as in, literally look like spun gold ). Often has a "just got out of bed" look to it, and is a little longer length-wise ( nothing past his chin, though ). Very 1970s look to it overall.
Clothing Style/Colours: Typically very relaxed - a t-shirt, jeans ( ripped artfully in places, of course ), all rounded out by a brown leather jacket. Any details other than this are entirely up to artist interpretation! He also wears a pair of aviator shades at all time because his eyes are very sensitive to light. Throw in a touch of glam rocker as well for a more 70s vibe. Here's an example of some things he would wear ( while properly adjusted for Halloweentown culture, of course ).
Extra: He has a pair of tawny wings on his back that he keeps closed ( most of the time ). There are pale feathers that pop up on his extremities ( knees, elbows, around his eyes, etc. ).

he - is - interested in other people, but he just has such high standards that it's hard for him to fully connect. XD;; they have to be fairly similar to him in a hobby, and i suppose he is more of a loner/leech type. if they have something to contribute to EDDIE AND [your name here]'S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE then he'll definitely have his interest perked, since there's kind of an incentive for the friendship in sight?

he'll participate in activities mostly if it suits him (or he's forced to). i'd love for him to make friends with people he either A.) cannot figure out, or B.) are pushy. especially if the pushy one was female, then he'd definitely be all ears, y'know. > w >

but i'll definitely think on this more and figure out what to toss up here as far as some more appealing traits go. XD thanks for your crit!
