Gwyn looked up at the starry sky. She was running along the borders of the Yasashii Tribe, her home. It was her job to scout the beautiful land and she loved it. A light gust blew in and she started to get near the path to the entrance of the main grounds. She knew her tribe was sleeping and hopefully the Elder was too.
Gwyn smiled and blushed thinking about Kithara. She was a great leader and an even better friend. Gwyn met Kithara when she was a kit and grew rather attached to her. Gwyn smiled more and found the path. She decided to take a break and she sat upon a large rock with her tail wrapped around herself, looking up at the sky and keeping all her senses alert.

Kithara had woken up early, and checked in on her tribe-members. Gwyn's usual spot was empty, but she wasn't worried. Gwyn was a scout, it was only natural she would wake up early and patrol. Her tail flicked to the side, the scent of flowers lightly brushing against her. The snow had covered the flowers, but the field had once been covered in many of them. The scent lingered. Carefully, she padded off, sure to not wake any of her members.
It was a good night for a bath, even if a bit cold. The Elder padded into the forest, eyes flicking across the watery healing center. Gwyn was not here, and when she thought of her it sent the Elder into a nervous wreck. Gwyn. Oh, this was unnatural. Gwyn was her tribe-member, it was not right to get nervous around the scout. Slowly, she calmed down, until she saw a purple mass on a rock.
Gwyn?

"Hmm?" Gwyn's ear twitched as she heard her name, who would be up at this hour? She turned around and saw Kithara. Gwyn smiled, then frowned a bit. What is she doing up? Gwyn stepped down from her rock and walked over to Kithara, tail flicking. She looked up breifly, then looked back at Kit."Beautiful night isn't it." What she really wanted to say: Why are you awake? Is something wrong?

Kithara looked at the sky, nodding. "Yes, very beautiful." She mewled back, moving beside the rock and resting onto her stomach. "Looks like there will be another snow soon." She mused, resting her head on her paws. She eyed the vixen, ears flicking to the side as a breeze rushed through. Gwyn was a hard worker, now, all that she needed was some time to rest.
"I wish we had another scout so that you could rest more. But we appreciate your work. I know the entire tribe feels safer with you watching over us during our sleep."

Gwyn smiled hearing the comment about her hard work. She really loved doing it so she didn't mind the lack of sleep at times. "Another snow? That sounds nice." Gwyn liked the snow and mostly she like to play in it, but she could live with out the coldness of it.
"Me? Need rest?" Gwyn giggled a bit, she was a little fur covered ball of energy as a kit. Even now as an adult she was still energetic but this time she put it into good use. "I don't mind being up at all." Even though Gwyn liked being up her body did need rest, and it proved that when Gwyn let out a yawn.

She nodded, standing and extending her body, sighing when her back cracked. "If you want, you can go rest and I can take it up from here." She mewled, tail flicking and wrapping around a stick, tossing it. As Elder it was her job to make sure her tribe and tribe-members were safe, and it had been awhile since she patrolled. Gwyn needed rest anyway.
"Or we could go on a stroll together. It'll be easier to patrol with two." She remarked, in case the vixen resisted going to sleep, which she probably would.

Gwyn didn't want to leave Kithara out by herself. "The stroll sound like a great Idea." Gwyn smiled and wagged her tail a bit.If they went on the stroll perhaps they would pass the patch of wildflowers that smelled as wonderful as they looked.
Gwyn smiled at Kithara. "Which way shall we go?"

She nodded, tail lazily flicking back and forth before she looked at Gwyn, eyes narrowing in thought. The tribe's medicine holding area hadn't been checked in awhile. "Around the forest and into the tribes medicine storage, I want to make sure the inventory is intact." She mused, ears flicking as she stood and began to pad off, turning to make sure Gwyn was with her.
"Have you been in the storage area before?" She asked. It'd be a good idea if Gwyn was trained in taking the inventory at night, making sure items were still there and had not been damaged or lost.

Gwyn tilted her head in thought, she had passed it several times but she had not been there. A smile tugged at Gwyn's lips. They were going to pass they flowers that she liked so much. "Hmm.. I don't think I have." Gwyn padded after Kithara, staying close, after all she didn't want to loose her. Right?

Kithara nodded, tail flicking about as she padded through the forest. Her mind was focused on leading Gwyn and trying to smother that odd feeling in her brain that something was not right. Why was she having this trouble, this confusion? Was it safe, to be feeling this strange nervous feeling when beside Gwyn?
No.
She had duties, and it couldn't be clouded with this feeling. What was it anyway? Why did Gwyn make her jittery, anyway? Was it because she was new? No, that wasn't it. The vixen was less than amused at this point. Maybe she was sick?

Gwyn looked over at Kithara. She was awfully quiet. Perhaps she was enjoying the silence... Or maybe she was thinking of future events for the Tribe? Gwyn nodded to herself, that had to be it. Gwyn kept looking at Kithara, until a slight breeze picked up and a familiar sent filled her nose. Gwyn looked around and found the source, it was the patch of flowers she wanted to find. "Stay right here for one minute." Gwyn padded of to the flowers and picked the most beautiful one she could. It had purple petals that faded into red at the tips and in the center it was light gray.
"For you." Gwyn smiled and placed the flower behind Kithara's ear, the stem tucked under her hair to hold it in place. Her tail flicked as she saw how it accented Kit's coat. A beautiful flower for a beautiful fox. Gwyn felt fluttering in her stomach and she shuffled around abit, unsure of what it ment.

Kithara watched as her tribe-member walked off, red eyes blinking as the breeze picked up. She watched Gwyn pick a flower, mentally sighing in appreciation. Flowers were growing again? Than the cold winter was starting to thaw and spring was approaching. She smiled at the thought of her first spring with her tribe, tail flicking lazily. She was caught from her thoughts when Gwyn settled before her, red eyes blinking at the words and touch. Her paw touched the flower placed so delicately by her ear and under her dark hair, red cheeks turning a slightly darker color.
"Thank you." She smiled warmly at the vixen. A gift for her elder? It had to be some sign of appreciation, so why was her heart fluttering about like a deranged rabbit? "It's lovely. Its a flower that can stand the bitter cold of winter, and is a sign of spring coming."

Gwyn tail flicked happily and with excitement. Spring was Gwyn's favorite season. I was a season of new life and beautiful things. "I'm glad you like it." Gwyn shifted in place, she still felt that awkward flutter in her chest. "I noticed the patch starting to spout a few weeks ago. I was surprised they bloomed so early." Gwyn smiled at Kithara, she was starting to forget where they were going.

She smiled at the vixen, nudging her and beginning to pad off. "Well, come along~" She mused, tail flicking side to side, tempting to touch the flower again, blushing once more. What was wrong with her? Clearly sick, had to be. She tilted her head back to look at Gwyneth, smiling to herself once more. She was smart it seemed, noticing details that a scout should.
"When spring arrives deer will be more common."

Gwyneth laughed and padded after Kithara. "More deer will be good for the tribe, and it will give the hunter's a less difficult time." Gwyn made a mental note to herself to look out for deer tracks and areas for they might be. When it clicked in her head where they were heading to again she looked over at Kithara. "Are we just checking up on the storage or are we getting some things from it?" Gwyn had never been to where the they kept the extra herbs for medicine, so she was rather curious of what else might be in there.
