Ary yawned as she scanned the room she had actually set up for once. After looking over the girl's file, she had felt it ultimately necessary to teach the girl something of use. Something involving her toe claws that seemed to be sharp enough to slice through skin and stronger than steel. Why wouldn't she utilize such a trait? It was perfect and saved her the time to think up something else to do.

Still, Ary had to get some special covers for said toe claws, lest she be cut to ribbons before she got past the first lesson. And put down some special mats guaranteed not to slice open. Supposedly anyways.

"That's what I plan on doing. Whether or not you learn it or even use it is another story," Ary replied, boredom evident in just about everything about her. From the bored tone to how she wasn't even LOOKING at her student and instead concentrating on her rather dull-looking fingernails. Like hell she'd ever paint them and keep them as such for more than a day or two.

"So, Phoebe, the name's Ary. Figured I'd teach you something that involved those... toe claws of yours. Gotta make use of what you have I suppose, so this'll be a mix of kickboxing, dancing, and anything I can think of that might seem of use and be able to be done," she continued, gaze finally turning to her student. DAMN she had pink hair. Definitely pride and kindness, she could see that much anyways. "So whatcha say kid? I even got these to keep you from tearing me and everything else up." At this she held up the little "claw" protectors that currently covered her two fingers.

Ary just stared at her for a long moment, blinking slowly. Wow she talked a lot. Phoebe was just like Enki on a sugar rush and she was increasingly glad her time with the pride demon was fairly limited and such an event hadn't occurred yet. "I believe it would be, yes. Here, try em on," she finally said, tossing the rubbery coverings to the girl. As she waited for her student to put them on, she managed to get a good look at her student for the first time since she entered.

Yeah, definitely a good choice for their first class. "Once they're on we can try out some moves. Bear with me, since I'm just doing whatever the hell I think sounds good. Can't guarantee others will be as impressed as you think they will but whatever floats your boat I guess," Ary continued, stretching a bit as she waited. "First off, how high can you kick your feet up?"

Ary slapped her hand to her face, inwardly groaning. Vampy was a cruel, cruel man for giving her this student. And she thought Aden had it bad with Beryl. At least the kid was cute and able to be ignored mostly. "It's black because that's all I could make in a half hour," she explained, straining to keep her irritation under control. As Phoebe kicked her foot up, getting it up to her shoulder, she had to admit she was glad her student wasn't over-exaggerating her skills.

"Good, good, that'll make things easier for me. Do that again but with a spin," Ary instructed, backing up a bit to avoid getting hit. If she had Aenira here, she wouldn't have to look ridiculous doing little dance moves she had picked up over the years. Oh well.

Ary watched and nodded, trying to reign in her temper. God this one talked a lot. "Nice. That'll rip someone's throat out in dire situations. Probably best for last resorts since it may get you in trouble. I have no idea if it would, but I honestly have never cared to check the exact rules," she commented, contemplating another move.

"Ah, right, another move would be to aim lower in that kick and slam your foot into their side. Can you do-No, no, you're not strong enough to practice that... Ho hum," she muttered, thinking aloud through most of her tirade. One of her favorite moves, wasted. Great. "Can you twist your foot around? Say someone came at you from behind and you wanted to hook your toe claw around their ankle," Ary tried to explain, thinking of a sort of twirl. It... made sense right? It did in her mind anyways.

"Flipping someone over your shoulder and some other things. I doubt you could pick me up so to practice it I'd need someone who weighed far less and could take the hit," Ary explained, watching Phee's movement's closely. Well, at least she was flexible. Few people had both flexibility and strength and just as many had neither.

"Perfect. That'll slice the tendon back there and trust me when I say they won't be getting back up, believe me, they won't. Hm... Any dancing moves you really like to do?" she asked, quickly running out of ideas as she started to put them inter perspective. She wanted to leave the kick boxing ones till the end simply because they'd be the easiest to teach.

Ary groaned and slapped a hand to her face. Really? She honestly had to ask that? "Yes, you can. This is a melee class, that's kinda the point of what I'm teaching you. It's either defense of offense, but they all end the same." Rolling her eyes, the woman refused to meet the girl's gaze as she attempted to keep her temper under control.
