I'm thinking of running a Shadowrun game on the boards here. Who would be interested in playing?
For those of you who don't know, Shadowrun is a cyberpunk fantasy game set in the not-too-distant future. In a world where magic exists, the races of fantasy and myth have become integrated into society, and giant corporations truly have a large stake in ruling the world... There has arisen a new, dangerous, and lucrative profession has arisen: Shadowrunners, freelance criminals for hire for the jobs you can't be seen doing. Espionage, sabotage, wetworks, and more... Leave your morality at the door, and get ready to cash in.
The campaign is wide open for players of all experience levels, but I will note that players will need to play smart. Big Brother is watching you.

I was going to play a shadowrun game once. However the guys that ran it are the type of gamers that should never run a game because it will never be serous. So i didn't even make it to Cha creation. If your ok with someone who has never played shadowrun I would enjoy it.

I'm interested. I've never even heard of Shadowrun, although I've done Steam-Punk and Cyber-Punk before.

I've never even heard of shadowrun before, but you got my attention instantly! I want in... if that's okay with you, of course sweatdrop lol

I've played one game of Shadowrun, our GM was more into D&D type playing, but it worked out over all with his warped sense of humor-
I ended up making two characters after the first one died tragically (XD) The first was a psychologist by day who would council women and often use that as a platform for meeting women to date. He was cybernetic, and at one point the party played a prank on him by giving him this 'candy' that turned his tongue blue- turned out to be demon spawn and it took root making him a berserk rager for a while until the whole party was captured and given the option work as laborer/slaves, or some sort of clergy type thing- my chara ended up the only one to take the first option (he figured more freedom more chance to escape etc...) and they popped his head with an explosive collar when he got caught giving in to his libido and I made my second character- a mage this time who also played the Base (five string rather than four- though the later six string samurai that joined us constantly ribbed him about not just playing a six string guitar like him...)
the second character nearly brought the end of the world because after acquiring a rare foci rather than attempt to use it he went to sell it over the net- the Foci had some rare thing in it that could be used to summon Cathulu and if another party member hadn't see it manifesting and trying to attack and slashed the doll making it inert and useless (My chara still sold it and made money from it xD) then we found that group and managed to stop them from summoning Cathulu (Like I said- GM had a warped sense of humor)
also in that game- another player was bitten by a werewolf- come next full moon he declared it 'National Bite a Friend' day and tried to turn the whole party so he could have his own pack.. thankfully he failed and he was forced to be cured >.>

I would be interested, but I'm already planning on joining the Pathfinder campaign here. I don't think I have the time to play both.
