 Xylara had gotten lost, not that she would ever admit that to anyone. She had thought that this was a completely different desert and therefore was shorter then it really was. There was supposed to be an oasis nearby where she could drink but she couldn't find it.
Looking up at the blazing sun she fanned her eyes. It was so hot out, and she hadn't had water for over a day. Cursing herself for her pride, she continued walking trying to find her way out. If she had only turned back the first day she wouldn't be in this mess.But there wasn't any way to fix it now.
She continued walking for over an hour before her legs finally gave out and she collapsed in the sand, breathing heavily. She knew that she was as good as dead, unless by some miracle there was another fox in this godforsaken desert.

 Over head the hot desert sand beat down on his coat. It was almost pure and utter hell. He was quickly running out of water and to make matters even worse even though his coat was red it was a rather dark red and added even more to his Problems. Marius sighed and let out a small yawn. Ah well a whole entire lake was close by if he was where he thought he was. He looked around and shook his head; it wasn’t like he could see any real land marks in this vast expanse of sand around him. How was he supposed to find this stupid temple he was going to in the first place? In fact why was he even in the desert?
Ah that was right Akori had sent him. His mother had gotten terribly worried when Kaname seemed to get some virus that sapped the strength out of him and over the course of two weeks. Akori was able to make what he hoped was a cure so their father could get better but the only problem was it needed some herb that was only stored off at the edges of Kemet through the desert and in the abandoned temple of Aswan. Of course his father would probably be dead by the time he found said temple. Speaking of dead things….
Ah it was a red vixen. If she hadn’t died she probably would have been rather cute. Suddenly he noticed the vixen, although unconscious, was still breathing. Marius suddenly shot wide awake and ran over towards the fox. After all there was a chance for her to live how could he call himself honorable if he just left her behind to die?
After a few minutes of struggling he got the vixen on his back and started carrying her towards the temple finally seeing some of the landmarks he had been looking for. About twenty minutes later he finally got them to the temple. As he deposited the vixen in one of the healing rooms of the temple he gathered his water pouch and ran to the other side where the temple met the lake. Hopefully there would be no crocodiles and he could get the water in peace.

"Mm...." She fet the sensation of being moved, but attributed that to slipping down the sand, further into the desert. She tried to open her eyes, but the light was too bright and she had to quickly close them again. "Mm..." She groaned in pain, her lips smacking softly. She needed water, badly.
Suddenly she was placed a different surface. It wasn't sand. What the hell was going on? She opened her eyes again and this time she was able to keep them open. Just in time to see a fox walking away from her. She was saved? Sighing softly, all she could make out was a white and black tail.
"A male...." She passed out again.

Marius let out a small smile. The crocodiles seemed to be either sun bathing on the bank opposite the temple or too lazy to attack him while he got water. As he filled his pouch he took a sip from it before refilling it again. Once he got the vixen to… to do what? Here he had all this water and no way to give it to her. It wasn’t like he could pass it mouth to mouth like the humans could. Maybe she would wake up again just for a bit. Atum wouldn’t just let them meet, drive off the crocodiles from the temple and then let the vixen die would he?
Oh how he wished he was uncle Heru or his father or any of the other modiphims in the tribe. Then he could ask Atum if the vixen could make it. Well he would just have to go on old fashion faith a bit. Gathering up the water, he also filled a few jugs for later and slowly maneuvered them back to where he had placed the vixen. As he stared at her he wondered just how he was going to get her to drink something.

"Mm...." On the stream of her consciousness she knew that she wasn't the only one in the room. But she didn't have the strength of the awareness to move even a paw.
"Mm....W....wa....." Her voice cracked, barely able to open her mouth. "Water...." Her voice sounded graveling and weak, both of which were unacceptable to her.

"Yeah dont worry I have your water" Marius said calmly. He walked over and slowly maneuvered her head up so that she would have a better chance of drinking. With a paw he slowly maneuver the water pouch so that he could tilt it and allow her to drink. "Make sure to go slowly you dont want to make your self sick and throw up all the water. It would ruin you trying to drink it and the trip I took to battle the crocodiles for it" he pointed out slightly smirking. it wasnt as if she was looking at his face anyways.

Her first intention had been to gobble the water down as fast as she could, but upon hearing his voice she nodded and started to drink more slowly. Her throat burned with the first couple gulps, but she forced them down. After she had her fill, she laid her head on the ground and attempted to open her eyes again.
"Mm...." She looked up at his face, it was blurry. But at least she could make out his shape. "Cr......crocodiles....?" Her voice sounded better, but it wasn't back to normal. "You battled....crocodiles?"

Marius laughed and shook his head before figuring she might not really be able to see it so well. "No not really. I mean there where crocodiles in the water but really only a few people can get away with battling a crocodile and getting away. Actually my tribe maybe be the only ones on the continent who could do so". He knew persephone could do it, and jaci did it all the time. Heck his parents did it on their second date.

"Tribe?" Her eyes started to clear at little and she got her first real glimpse of the male, and actually he was rather attractive. She particularly liked the orange across his face.
"That sounds.....very strange..." She went to stand up but stumbled a bit, and managed to fall back on the ground. "Mm....I am not normally this weak...." She forced herself into a sitting position. I'm Xylara...." She smiled at him, "Thanks for pulling me out of the desert. I really thought I was going to die out there."

"ah yes tribe. This is Kemet land although you don't have to worry. i can see you don't mean harm and Horus is fine with outsiders. Besides we are on the very edges of it. Oh I guess battling crocodiles is a bit weird but thats us sticking out from the ordinary" he laughed.
"Yeah I would beleive so. Dont worry about it. Everyone loses to the desert if they aren't careful. Its not a matter of strength but more of luck and being prepared. Even then Set may still get you. Well you're welcome. I figured any decent fox would do so and it just so happened the nearest shade and water was where I needed to go anyways.

"Kemet?" She looked at him, "Never heard of it..." She shook her head, "I still am grateful to you...." She made a face, "You didn't tell me your name....or would you prefer that I call you Angel?" She smiled at him. She was a little loopy from being out in the desert so long, and therefore was not acting like her normal self.

" Well its not too surprising Horus doesn't want to become too well known just yet. He wants to build up a bit more." Marius stated not taking offense to anything. "mmm Angel is a bit to girly for my tastes so I guess I can give you my name. However its only fair if you give yours in return. I'm Marius" he answered raising an eyebrow. Some how he was still under the impression she was suffering from a bit of heat stroke still. He would try and guess her name but that wasnt really a strong suit of his.

She looked at him slightly annoyed. Obviously he wasn't paying attention to her, because just minutes ago she had said her name. "Xylara...." she said with a little bit of attitude, "And I like Angel...It's cute...." she smirked at him. It also helped that it would tick him off a little, and at that moment she was looking to tick him off.

Marius laughed at the annoyed look. "yeah I guess you had said your name. Sorry I was thinking of permas battling Crocodiles. I'll take you some time to make up for not paying attention. As for angel... well I guess it could be called cute but that's not really my cup of tea" Marius smiled purposely not rising to the bate. It was one of his fathers more infuriating habits if you asked Hollow that he had seemed to inherit.

"Mm..." She looked at him strangely, "What's a....perma?" She cocked her head to the side as she studied him, "And what is with your tribe battling Crocs...." She shook her head, "I am surprised that you are not losing members on a daily basis..." She finally was able to stand up, and grinned.
"Alright....Marius is it..." Xylara looked back at him, "Would you show me a place where I can go hunting for some food....Now that I've had some water, i would like to get some food in my stomach."
