As he lay in the cool long grass of the plains he couldn’t help but to think of his long journey. He had come far from his homeland his father dragging him and his brother along behind him without care. Turning his blue eye skyward he observed the clear day, no clouds threatening to dump moisture over the lands just the sun in its gilded glory. Ha, glory. With a sigh and a heaving of his muscles he pulled himself to his hooves and stretched out his wings, again he was being pulled by an invisable force. Folding his wings neatly by his sides he began walking off in a random direction, not really paying much attention to where he was headed, he never really did anymore. The destination never mattered much to him, even the journey just seemed dull.

Jacqueline trotted happily through the the last few bushes that were a few feet beyond Victoria's garden. She had been dragged through her herd which to Jacqueline it felt like a torturous act. However, she finally away from all the soquili and her anxious demeanor could get a break. Her nerves had been to the breaking point all day and now she could finally relax. A small happy sigh escaped her mouth as she continued to walk through the grassy field. Jacqueline closed her eyes as she walked, taking in the sweet smell around her and feeling the warmth of the sun. That all ended when she felt something wack into her. Instantly she fell to the ground and opened her eyes. ANOTHER SOQUILI! She exclaimed in her head. She wasn't sure what to say or do in that moment because it was so.. so... large! And it had wings! Jacqueline secretly wondered what this soquili was exactly.

An odd ‘whooshing’ noise escaped from his chest as something hard knocked the wind from his lungs. Staggering back a step or two he shook the hair from his eyes and glared off in all directions at eye level. “Hey! Watch where you are-“ His exclamation of frustration was interrupted when he found himself looking down upon a foal. This small thing had caused such a wreck between the two of them? With a humorless chuckle he lowered his head so he was looking her in the eyes. “You alright?” He asked, his tone seemingly indifferent. There were probably many ways in which one should speak to a foal, he just didn’t know any of those ways. Lifting his head again he looked her over through one blue eye; the other being hidden behind fiery strands of hair.

Jacqueline stared up at the stallion with large eyes. Should she really answer him? He sounded like he could eat her, and he was surely large enough to do so. She quickly looked around her and found a large rock close by. As fast as her legs would allow she jumped up, ran behind the rock and peeked over it at him. "I'm fine." She said plainly and quickly. Her nerves were completely shot from being so terrified by stumbling upon-- well into him. Jacqueline slowly inched a little further out behind the rock. "Who are you, what are you and what do you want?" She asked trying not to give away just how afraid of him she was. Why did everyone have to be SO huge and scary? Also, was he one of those skinwalkers her brother had begun to tell her about before Victoria had wisked her away?

One red brow arched over an icy blue eye as he watched the young one scamper for cover. Rolling his eyes and releasing an exasperated sigh he approached the boulder behind which she had hidden. “What do you mean what do I want?” The irritation he felt was clear in his tone. Stopping a few strides from the rock he gazed impatiently at the foal. “You ran into me.” Shaking his head and ruffling the feathers on his wings he looked off into the distance with a humorless smile. “I am Roman, but perhaps a more polite introduction would have sufficed.” Turning his gaze back upon her he took a few more steps forward. “What are you doing out here alone anyways? Someone as unobservant as you is liable to be killed in a heartbeat.” He scoffed.

Jacqueline stammered when she replied. "Well shouldn't you have been paying attention to where you were walking?! You are old after all." She said meaning that he was older then her, but not old old. "Well.... I'm alone because I was trying to escape from another soquili named Victoria who is rather crazy and is trying to force me into becomeing the next queen of her herd. And I also wanted to get away from all of the big crowds... I don't like being around a lot of soquili." She said with a nod. "If you hadn't noticed I have enough time with one." Jacqueline watched as the soquili named Roman came closer to her and the rock. "Stay there or I will.... I'll...." She said trying to think quickly. What could she possibly do? He was at least twice the size of her if not more. He could pumble her into the ground without a second thought.

His ears flicked back displaying the irritation he felt and he nearly turned his tail to her and left. How annoying foals were, what with their little logic and over exaggerated tall tales. His tail swished impatiently as he glared at the little one hidden behind a boulder. “How very sad for you, it is not my problem. You should at least apologize for walking into your ‘elders’ as you would have me called.” With a snort his expression changed from pure agitation to expectancy. It is those who are young and inexperienced who should apologize. A hollow laugh escaped from his maw at her half hearted threat. “You will what? You couldn’t possibly do anything to me.”

((Jacqueline also grew.))
Jacqueline watched the stallion in disbelief. Was it possible for someone to be so hateful. Were all other adult males this way? Her father and uncle weren't. But that didn't mean much for this male. Suddenly she felt a power within she hadn't felt before. Jacqueline walked out from behind the rock and stood firmly in front of the male. "Just because you are older doesn't mean that you are better." She said staring up with him with a slightly angry face. "And I will not apologize to you because you don't deserve the apology." Jacqueline said, waiting for anything else he would throw at her.

(I noticed, and she is lovely! Roman's personality has undergone kind of a change but I believe this rp will be very helpful. I hope I didn't flip things too much for you. XD )
He found himself interested in this little filly that suddenly gained so much courage, had he once been like this? Agitation gave way to indifference as he looked down his nose at her, a hard line forming on his mouth. “Is that so? Tell me, what makes you so worthy of anything other than a swat on the hind end?” Quirking a brow he began circling her like a vulture circles a dead carcass. “Disrespectful, irritating beyond imagination and irresponsible. How can you claim to be any better than me?” His thoughts went back to his younger brother and a pain he hadn’t felt in years shot through his heart. What gave this filly the right to speak to him in this manner? “Run home to your mommy and daddy, you pester me.” Turning his back to her he began walking in the opposite direction not wanting to be bothered with memories any longer.

((Oh no, not at all. I actually quite enjoy this RP. xD And thank you! <3 We should have an RP between them with Jacqueline being an adult. xD))
Jacqueline had never felt this empowered or angry before. Her legs shook from the amount of rage she had contained within her little body. "I do not claim to not need a 'swat on the hind end', but you sir are downright awful. You should be hit with hardest of all hoofs. Like a skinwalker!" She said because of anger. Not that he really needed to go wander off and find a skinwalker. "Well I might be all of those things but at least I am not rude, conceited, and downright hateful!" She yelled as she trampled after him. "And I will not run away from you. I think you need to learn that just because someone is much younger then you, you do not need to treat them as dirt." Jacqueline said with a nod as her anger began to reseed.

(I am glad, it is quite entertaining. ^^ I agree! Since her mentioning the skinwalker I think it would be kind of neat if she met up with him again after he is injured by the one who killed his mother and father. Kind of a strange twist.)
Just the anger in her voice caused him to smile ever so slightly; it was not a smile of joy or laughter but more of a distant memory. He had once sounded just like her when he was a foal. Screaming for his father to stop, to turn around and care for Cottus who was gasping for breath. Acting in the same manner as Ardus had, though not realizing it; he stopped walking but didn’t turn to face the filly. “What could a skinwalker possibly do that I have not already endured.” He mumbled. Lifting his nose to the sky he inhaled deeply, taking note of the scent of the decaying world around him. “Could’ve fooled me.” He stated nonchalantly. “Walking into someone and refusing to apologize, I consider that rude. Thinking you know everything about someone after just only meeting them, that seems conceited to me. Hateful….well I suppose I can’t claim you are hateful.” When he heard her footsteps approaching he again began walking, still not taking his eyes off of the landscape before him. Whereas her words once would have hurt they did nothing to him now. “I will learn nothing from you. It would be best if you scampered home and snuggled up to your mother.”

Jacqueline felt as though her head would explode. She would not leave this stallions side until she was positive he would not go out and kill someone. "Well if that is so then you should know that your attitude is not a good one to have." She said running in front of him. "And I know all about you because you are just like every story I have heard of skinwalkers and any other darker creature!" Jacqueline said breathing hard. Her heart was pounding so fast because of her anxiety. Instead of scared anxiety she had angry anxiety. She could slowly feel the world around her closing in and her breath becoming more strained. "I can't..." She said wobbling on her legs. "I can't breath." Jacqueline said falling onto her side. Jacqueline tried to get up, however, she couldn't. "Fine........... Go." She said looking away from him.

Roman stopped when the filly stood in his path but part of him wished to use his bulk in order to shove her aside. Her words did not stir him in any way, he did not become angry or sad but merely stared down at her with lifeless blue eyes. “You must think highly of yourself to counsel others on their attitudes when yours needs adjusting as well.” He stated, his voice remaining gruff and without feeling. Her comment about his life being like all of those who suffered from darkness merely made him colder. She hadn’t ever had to deal with that, surely her parents loved her and each other. No doubt she hadn’t had to watch any of her sibling die. “You are ignorant.” He retorted. He was bored of talking to her, she didn’t know much even for her young age. She hadn’t had to live through what he had and yet she found herself entitled to act as though she knew everything about it. Roman watched her fall to her side without any emotion. His brother would often wheeze and cough then fall over but for whatever reason he could feel no sympathy for this foal. She was not his brother; his brother had suffered so much before he had finally been gathered into the arms of the gods. He stood a moment, looking down on her with no expression before stepping around her and continuing to walk. She could stay lying there for all he cared.
