Alter sat on top of the mountain, his head resting on his hand, leaning on the side of the stone chair he had made. It was a good imitation of one of the chairs used in the Trails in Vaccine Tower. He looked down at the purple memory, a demonic face staring back at him. Disgusting. Those villains were disgusting. They had ruined the world, trying to remove the light. And for what? For selfish reasons? No matter. They wouldn't be around much longer. Alter looked up, his eyes dancing.

A great blue wolf bounded over the mountain side. He flew just over Alter's head before landing on the opposite side of the boy. Riding on it's back was none other then the trickster herself, Rebecca Kiryu. It seemed like the perfect opportunity for a good one-liner. Oddly Rebecca, remained silent. She was more interested in the view of the infinitely extending mountaintops to take notice, or even tease the fallen angel. She slowly dismounted the great blue wolf, almost drawn to the valley underneath. She took another step forward before realizing how close to the cliffedge the two were standing. Rebecca took a step back and massaged her forehead, being this high up gave her vertigo. She glanced back at Alter, a blank look on her face. "Tell me something, am I awake now?" She let that question sit with him for a moment, mindlessly spinning the chain attached to her digivice around her finger. "I was dreaming Joey, everything, everything was so horribly dry, even people's hearts. From far away as I watched the people who lived there, I always kept on wondering how and why could they keep on living? What motivation could possibly get them up to live everyday for the rest of their lives," She was not looking exactly at Alter, but staring past him. The girl remained silence, almost as if she was in a daydream. One, two, three more minutes of this uncomfortable silence and then Rebecca woke up from her daydreams. "Ohohoho~ It seems I've been lost up in the mountains!" She began, seemingly oblivious to the situation they were in. "I'm working on my hiker's laugh you see. I'd try to do my yodel, but I'm sure that would send you into a flying rage. It didn't work so well on that Marcus boy. You know the saying, Everybody's a critic," She was shaking her head, with the same hamminess that dominated her every action. "So tell me now my friend, what is so important that you must drag it up on a very, very high mountain?" She asked, more curious about the mountain part then the actual information he could spare.

Alter watched the girl, his face remaining cool as he waited for her to speak first. It took much longer then expected. "Important? Nothing really. I just have an appointment." Alter replied, "And an answer to your request. The Last Memory is in my hand." As straight to the point as ever Alter lifted the purple item up again. "Which completes my side of the deal. Now what do you have for me?"

Kyo said A shy Mushroomon was relased from Kyo's digivice. "Is this were the Dark Memory is Kyo ?" Kinko said placing his finger to his mouth. "Yeah, This is it" kyo said. "We'll need all of our strength to get this last one." "Then you can use Apocalymon right?" Kinko asked "We could but i think we should use the power of the memories to save Marcus." Kyo said looking at his bag were the egg was stored safe. Kinko hugged Kyo's leg "You know kyo thats what I admire the most about you, no matter what you help those who need it.""Kinko" Kyo said as tears filled his eyes. Wipping his face Kyo looked to his team mate Kiro "Lets climb"

(If everyone, but Zeldi, please wait for Liger to post. As he left before you, and is pretty much leading the way, it makes much more sense...)
This only applies to the Royal Knights. Spirits can make their way here, but it would be advised that you also hold off on the major exploration...
(To be honest if you do show up please don't notice Alter yet.)

[Sorry for late post, I got kicked off the computer all day yesterday].
"Just a theory," Rebecca said in response to the boy's question of payment. Information for information, it was fair trade after all. She placed one hand on her hip and with the other she began to rhythmically tap her forehead. It was to give the illusion of thinking, when in reality Alter's focus would be drawn to the moving finger. Even the most brilliant person could fall for simple attention grabbing tricks if they were unaware. Rebecca was not planning anything for the moment though, it was simply a precaution. Around the thumb of her right hand a chain was wrapped, once again nothing more than a precaution. The girl quit tapping, instead grabbing onto the fedora which covered her head and balancing it on her finger. "Where to begin," She began, her voice was strange, almost distracted sounding. "How about the concept of memories, at most basic they are records of the past stored within the minds of sentinent beings. If they were stored within the mind of a beast they become instincts, that's the important distinction," She caught the hat, and began to tilt it back and forth. "So who do these collected memories belong to, that is the question. One could argue they are simply data files of the land, but that answer seems a bit too obvious," Rebecca decided that the flipping was a bit too much and went back to spinning. "If they were data storages, or cores of the digital terrain, once they were taken there should have been a more noticable change in the digital world. Anywhere from a terrain shift, to an outright collapse of the areas with missing memories," Kiryu decided to throw the hat into the air, letting it float as she continued her exposition. "Assuming that the memories do not belong to the land, then only one other option exists. Their the memories of a being, that for some reason needed it's memories split into eight pieces and sealed away," Rebecca caught the hat effortlessly, placing it back upon her head to deliver the finale. "If the memories were reunited, then perhaps whatever it was would awaken. However, it would be different. A bird whose wings have been clipped goes back to being the beast it was before it had wings."

Alter smirked, for once in a very long time he found something amusing. "That is your information? A theory of what these memories are?" He started to laugh, his hand covering his face for just a moment. "That isn't worth information. I have already learnt all I need to know about the memories. I know what they can do. I know what they will do." He looked back at her, a glimpse of madness in his eyes. "If you think that is what I need to hear then you are sadly mistaken."

Rebecca shrugged,"I"m not sure what else to offer, unless you would want other information, then you would need to be more specific," Rebecca commented, no longer interested in this conversation. She had quit finicking with her hat and both hands had falllen to her sides. "I have another question though, what significance does this place really have? It's just a bunch of cliffs," A stupid question and Rebecca knew it, but Rebecca also knew the type of person she was dealing with. With playful grin and a speck of curiosity in her eyes, she continued this stroke of naivety. She was aware of the type of person she was dealing with, but did not understand him well. This was such a wonderful world they all shared, why not just smile and enjoy it. It was nothing more than a dream after all. Rebecca broke her gaze from Alter to look at the cliff face underneath. "There going to be coming here soon I imagine, what do you plan on doing then?"

Kaizer Omega The Sacred Flame Tamer (Enter Kaizer) As Kaizer entered the base of the mountain he stopped and dropped to his knees. "I couldn't believe our base its gone. Well it might be better this way." "Well Kaizer all we can do is move forward with our missions.""Yeah hes right, we're right here behind all the way."As everyone cheered on the spirits shined brighter. "Ok guys lets do our best as a team."

Alter shrugged back, she was an odd creature, and so far he hated her, but she might have her uses. "Then lets just say you owe me one." He replied, happy to let the conversation die there, but not that she would allow it. Alter about about to respond when a second voice entered into the field. The bats that had carried off Alter before had returned, forming into one of Alter's digimon, GranDracmon. The vampire digimon smiled lightly as it spoke. "This place doesn't have much value or importance. But it makes a dramatic final battle location, doesn't it?" He answered, moving to stand behind his master.

"I recommend that you don't use a Darkness memory on a guy that is corrupted. That might make it incurable. I recommend using the power of light or something on him." Kiro then looked at his Digivice and decided to try someone new for this part of the adventure. "Hmm...I'll only use one Digimon in a fight....so it is best for me to save her for an emergency then..." Kiro thought to himself. Kiro then leaned on the mountain trying to find a way to climb up the fastest.

"If you want to do a bit of cliffhanging it is," Rebecca said with a nervous laugh. She really did hate heights. The girl's ears twitched, there were faint noises coming from the valley below. Wind? Digimon?. . . It was too faint to tell. Gaomon growled at the Gradnracmon as he appeared, Rebecca politely told her digimon to cut it out with a swift kick to the thigh. It was not polite to be be growling at one's companions, especially when it may give light of their true intentions. The Gaomon stared at her for a moment before nodding and began to drag his claws around the ground. After a moment, Rebecca began tapping her foot as well. She covered up this action in her usual style,"This is the Climax, Alter the Angel, Spirit or Royal Knight there both going to ascend this cliff in a joint to take the last memory. More than likely though, something climactic will occur with all the memories in such close vicinity . Though I would rather not fight, I have to say I've been bitten by the cat named curiosity," In reality Rebecca would prefer it if they all went home and avoided the final conflict. That never occurred in the digital world though, Rebecca had no other option but to end it herself. Rebecca dragged her foot along the rocky surface twice, then began to tap it again. She turned her head towards the base of one of the cliffs,"And it seems the actors are arriving to take the stage," She began to turn round simply for affect,"What a wonderful climax this will be." Rebecca landed in something akin to a ballet pose. "There's something I still cannot quite grasp though, what is your role in this finale Alter my friend?"

Kain stood on the edge of one of the multiple cliffs on the far east side of the mountain, looking out into the horizon he began to feel the carefree atmosphere he had been searching for since he left the spirit base. ''It seems the end is coming...slowly but its coming.'' He muttered to himself as he felt a slight vibration from his digivice in his pocket. He took it out in a swift motion he took it out and began to read an emergency message from the bases back up system. ''Attention all spirit tamers the base has been destroyed the culprit is unknown but is believed to be piedmon, any tamers that come across this digimon are to kill on sight!'' He put the digivice back in his pocket and sighed. ''We should find the other survivors...if there are any.'' Arkadimon said picking up Kain and rose into the air, flying above the small forest and flew towards the small surge of energy he was sensing from other digivices or at least the ones he recognized.

"I thought curiosity killed the cat? Wouldn't it have to be a dog, or something bigger?" He mused, his finger tapping his jaw a little. Alter looked down back at Rebecca, it seemed she was just as crazy he was. The GranDracmon waved at Gaomon, flashing a smile that said 'I want to eat you up' clearly teasing the dog digimon. Alter thought for a moment. "My role? I am just doing what I know is right, making sure that all darkness is removed." he answered, "And since when are we friends? I thought this was just business? Because you still owe me."
