December 22, 2010

Marquess: -gloomily trotting god knows where, head down and all slumped-
Ardal: -Stretches out on the grass, his eyes peering out to the sky above him, the light of the moon shimmering down on his glowing fur.-
Marquess: -keeps walking, not noticing anything until she actually trips over Ardal, going flying and screeching as she tumbles and flails on the ground-
Ardal: -Feeling the body fly over him, he lifts a paw to try and catch her but feels her fall regardless of his efforts. He frowns, moving to stand as his ears twitch. He accesses his situation for a moment before stepping closer to her, offering his paw to help her up- Are you alright Miss?
Marquess: -stops flailing as she hears a voice and looks up, immediately shrinking though she's already incredibly undersized for both her race and her gender. She bows her head and squeaks out in an embarassed rush- I'msosorryI-I'ms-sorrys-sososorryI'ms-soclumsyp-pleasef-forgivemeI-I'msosorry!!
Ardal: -Regards her carefully, blinking slightly at her reaction. A small smile crosses his face though it disappears immediately. He leans down and gently grabs her around the waist and lifts her to her paws. Moving his paw, he puts a digit to his mouth- Shhh... its alright. I have no intention of hurting you. -His voice was deep yet smooth, quiet in nature.-
Marquess: -squeaks and whimpers as she's lifted, completely expecting anything but the gentle chiding and soft gestures from the other demon dragon, but she remains terrified anyway, fidgetting with her paws nervously and glancing anywhere but to the dragon before her, growing so uncomfortable and embarassed she pulls her cape over her head and lays on her tummy, whining- I-I'ms-stillsosorrys-sosos-sorry!
Ardal: -Feeling slightly sorry for her, he sighs and remains a few feet from her. Instead of speaking or touching her this time he remained quiet, watching her. He remembered those days, the days where fear was all that gripped him... the days where... Just like that the memory came and then was gone again. He shook his head back and forth, letting a breath escape his lungs. This girl reminded him of when he was young. So instead of pushing her, he remained as a quiet gesture until she could find it to stop, or at least break her sobs for a moment.-
Marquess: -whimpers and trembles beneath her cape for a long while, confused as to the lack of voice or movement around her, and she peeks out, still terrified, and seeing Ardal, flinching and squeaking and hiding again, but hearing nothing still, and peeking again, still trembling, but with less extremity, slowly finding it in herself to sit up alittle, though she backs away abit from her still overpowering fear, and she fidgets almost absurdly, murmuring in her low and timid stutter- I-I r-really a-a-am s-sorry..
Ardal: There is nothing to be sorry about. -He continues to sit, his eyes occasionally flicking over her but the rest of his body stays completely still with a ridged discipline, perfectly, as if he had been trained like a dog.- You remind me of the way I was... scared, terrified... unsure... The pain and fear of not doing everything perfectly for my master...
Marquess: -blinks abit and lets her eyes drift to him in curiosity, trembling still, and obviously being everything Ardal used to be, but not because of a master- y-you.. y-you used t-t-o b-be like m-me? -fidgets alittle still and still avoids eye contact as much as possible, her dragon tail curling around her paws protectively, still afraid, though alittle less-
Ardal: -His head turns and glances at her.- Yes. I was. -He tries to offer a smile in reassurance but it doesn't last long.- But it was... almost feels... like a lifetime ago. Things have been... -His sentence cuts off and part of him realizes that he had lost track of things that had happened. Huge chunks of his memory seemed to be missing. All he could remember was being scared as a kit and finding his master. After that he had a purpose... a life. But part of him, a part that had been hidden from him, could remember pain and fear after meeting his master, but when he tried to access those memories they faded again. Drawing in a breath, he licked his lips.- I use to be terrified of everything. Afraid of the looks on others faces, afraid of what they thought of me.. afraid that they would do terrible things to me.. -A part of him felt like that fear had come to pass, but he couldn't remember why.-
Marquess: -listens to him, and can't help but be curious and keep glancing at him occasionally, the small smile helping alittle in pacifying her tremendous fears, and even more she is drawn toward his words, which relate so well to how she felt, how she feared anything that could move, including herself- w-why.. w-why were y-you s-so a-afraid? -she blushes, embarassed by her rare moment of boldness- s-sorry! d-don't answeri-if you d-don't w-wish t-to p-please I-I'm s-sorry..
Ardal: -A part of him wanted to reassure her that he wouldn't harm her, but he knew it would do little good until she could come to trust him and that may never happen.- I was.. afraid of what they thought of me.. being a dragon among foxes.. our kind.. -He addressed this quietly- ..have been blamed for many things. Back when I was a kit it was looked down upon and I was hated just for being what I was. My parents were taken soon after I was born... and tortured... before being burned to death... I feared.. what they would do to me.. I feared... even their disapproval, the looks... the thoughts... rather they acted on them or not.
Marquess: -listens and her ears and wings droop even more in sorrow, a touch of pity in her eyes, but more so guilt, as if she was wrong for being fearful after hearing such sad tales and such powerful reasons to fear, while she was simply afraid for being afraid, and also guilty for being so unaware of her own kind- t-there are.. t-things o-out there l-like t-that? -looks almost confused, disbelieving, since her life had been fairly easy and rather luxurious thanks to her parents- t-that's.. s-so awful..
Ardal: In the years I have been alive things have gotten better for our kind. I believe the village I was apart of were perhaps simply fearful of what they could not explain.. That does not mean that there aren't things to fear, however. -His body finally moved as he stepped closer to her. He lifted a paw and gently touched her under the chin.- But I promise, as long as you are here with me I will protect you. And I promise I will not harm you.
Marquess: -listens to him, looking down abit and fidgetting with her claws lightly, seeing him start to move and flinching, and flinching worse when she's touched, but looking at his honesty and looking down and fidgetting more, but shuts her eyes and nods abit, squeaking so timidly- o-o-okay.. -looks up at him shyly and still plays with her cape, still looking so pitiful and sad, afraid, but accepting at the very least, his presence-
Ardal: -Smiles softly at her acceptance but doesn't allow his touch to linger. Instead he pulls back after knowing she had accepted it, shifting so that there was a few yards between them.- What is your name Miss? -He would do his best to do what he could for her, with her personality it was likely she could end up with a master making use of her fear. He didn't want that to happen. As much as he admired his master, he didn't think she'd do well in that situation. The problem was that he would have to figure out a way to make sure that his master never found this girl on his radar.-
Marquess: -blushes and fidgets, murmuring softly- M-Marquess.. a-and m-may I h-have your n-name too? -nervously fidgets, but has calmed from when he moved away, more comfortable around him-
Ardal: -His smile slightly returned.- A very noble name, one of impecible power. My name is Ardal. -His head lowered in a small bow.-
Marquess: -blushes deeply and bows alittle as well, squeaking- u-um w-well i-it's t-tradition i-in m-my f-family.. i-it's very n-nice t-to meet you A-Ardal..
Ardal: Its a tradition to have noble names of high influence? Than am I safe to assume that your family is one of such influence? -He raised one brow in her direction.- My own name is a badge of power. It means 'Fierce as a Bear'.
Marquess: -blushes and squeaks abit, fidgetting cutely- u-um.. s-sorta? m-maybe.. w-we l-live in a really big h-house if t-that counts.. d-dad's a dragon a-and m-mom's a f-fighter.. h-her name is Paladin, a-and my b-brother and s-sister are named P-prince and K-Knight s-so.. t-that's us.. -blushes and fidgets cutely, looking up at Ardal and smiling just abit- r-really? t-that's c-cool.. a-are you a-a warrior l-like m-my m-mom and s-sister?
Ardal: -Raises his brow at her, disbelieving that she would want to know about her families' heritage, but perhaps she wasn't close to her family.- You could call me that. I have been raised by my master to protect him and his interests.
Marquess: -blinks abit and fidgets, but murmurs- M-master? y-you have one?
Ardal: -Hearing her question a strange unease pricked at the back of his neck but he couldn't place where it came from. He slowly nodded his head though his eyes couldn't look at her. His demeanor changed from one of patience and serenity to a very uneasy composure.- Yes... he was the one who saved me after my parents died..
Marquess: -blinks as he changes and whines, backing up abit, afraid- I-I'm sorry s-should I-I n-not have a-asked w-was t-that b-bad? -listens to him and flushes- o-oh.. I-I'm s-sorry f-for asking..
Ardal: -Shakes his head back and forth, a sigh escaping his lips- No. No. Never think you're bad when it comes to me. -Looks directly at her.- Promise me that. -Shifts slightly, trying to loose the uncomfortable feeling- ..My master... is not a good man... I have paid a heavy price for him saving me. But it is a price that I am obligated to pay over and over again. I am his. No matter how I may wish for freedom, his brand is placed upon me and I cannot escape it. I wish to help you, Marquess.. so you do not end up like I have.
Marquess: -blushes deeply and squeaks, but slowly nods- o-okay.. I.. I p-promise.. -blushes deeply and listens, whining abit- w-why d-do you h-have to s-stay with s-such a b-bad man? w-why can't y-you escape? -ears drop alittle more and she watches him alittle- w-would he b-be after me?
Ardal: -His own ears fall back against his skull. Feeling slightly pinned between his loyalty to his master and his ever longing quest to finally be free.. He mused, unsure how to explain his relationship to his master.- Its... I.. I am drawn to him by a curse that was placed on me when he found me. The choice is no longer mine. There are days... nights like this when my mind is mine. But then.. when he renews his curse... he infiltrates my thoughts. -He shifts in his seat on the ground.- I promise.. I will never hurt you. But never let me introduce you to him. He is always looking... always seeking new prey to serve him...
Marquess: -whines as she listens, feeling pity for him, and also perhaps alittle understanding, because of her fears almost being her own master, taking away her rational thoughts and succumbing her to avoid whatever it is that strikes trepidation in her heart- i-isn't there anything y-you.. w-we.. could do? i-it sounds s-so wrong f-for you t-to serve t-this c-cruelty..
Ardal: I have yet to find out how to completely remove the curse. I have looked for many moon turns, and I will continue to until I am free. -He offered a weak smile.- Maybe some day I will be, and maybe I will not. Regardless, I thank you for your concern. It has been a very long time since anyone has worried about my well being.
Marquess: -blushes and nods abit- m-maybe.. I c-could help? -squeaks and burns scarlet at her offer, so unused to being bold- I-I mean I-Iknow I-I might b-be of n-no u-use b-but m-maybe i-if you ever j-just w-wnat s-someone t-to listen o-or something I-I w-would b-be there a-and I-I dunno I-I just w-well only i-if you w-want to I m-mean.. -keeps babbling for abit until she realizes she's babbling and blushes- o-oh.. u-um.. s-sorry. -blushes and paws at her cheeks, embarassed- w-well.. w-we are.. f-f-f-f-friends..r-r-right? -fidgets, so unused to the word- i-its o-only n-natural..
Ardal: -Smiles at her, a soft blush on his own cheeks for a moment.- I would enjoy your company any time you wished to share it with me. It would be an honor, Marquess. I would be happy to finally have a friend.
Marquess: -blushes cutely and smiles at him, nodding- a-as i-it w-w-would be m-my h-honor t-to b-be your f-f-first f-friend.. y-you are m-my f-first as w-well.. p-perhaps there i-is a place where w-we could m-meet t-to t-talk?
Ardal: -He gives her a brief smile, lowering his head in a bow. Taking a glance around when he spots a large oak tree standing out slightly from the rest. He points toward the woods.- What about the oak?
Marquess: -blushes and looks, seeing the oak and nodding alittle- i-it looks like a-a nice sp-spot.. w-what time s-should we m-meet next? w-what day?
Ardal: -Thinks for a long moment.- In two moonturns, when the moon reaches the same height in sky as it is now. If I do not show when the moon reaches here. -Points to a particular point in the sky.- ..do not wait any longer. -He smiles at her- It was a pleasure to meet you Marquess, and I will look forward to our next meeting. But I must leave. My master will grow suspecious if I wait any longer. -He lifted her paw and gave it a light kiss before turning to leave.-
Marquess: -blushes and listens, making a note in her head so that she remembers when to gome, watching him and smiling back shyly, cutely, nodding- p-pleasure's a-all m-mine.. o-okay.. -turns scarlet as he kisses her paw, and she watches him go, turning a deep red and rubbing her cheeks abit and waving- b-bye.

December 24, 2010

Ardal: -Lets out a long breath as he leans against the tree, his eyes gleeming toward the large orb floating in the sky-
Marquess: -timidly making her way through the forests, peeking out of the brush and blushing as she sees Ardal, squeaking cutely and hiding for a moment before taking a deep breath and slowly crawling out of the thicket- H-Hello A-Ardal..
Ardal: -Eyes now half closed, arms stretched out across his chest when he hears the voice. He jumps slightly, catching his breath when his head turned.- Marquess? -A small smile crosses his face when he spots her-
Marquess: -gives him a timid smile as he spots her and nods alittle- y-yes.. -slowly trots to him, sitting by the tree, just a little ways away from him- i-it's great to see you again..
Ardal: Its good to see you too. -A little saddened by her unwillingness to move closer, however he doesn't let it show.- Its Christmas Eve night... -He states quietly- I wasn't sure if you'd show..
Marquess: -blushes cutely and smiles alittle, looking at her paws and fidgetting with them alittle- w-well actually.. I-I knew.. a-and I didn't k-know if y-you'd b-be able to c-come Christmas n-night.. so I_i b-brought you s-something today.. -shuffles under her cape abit and pulls out a gift wrapped in a snowflake paper and tied together with a big blue ribbon, and she shyly nudges it infront of Ardal's paws with her nose- I-I didn't k-know what you liked s-so h-here g-goes -pulls her cape over her face abit in her flustered state-
Ardal: -Blinks at the gift, a light smile coming over his face Taking it, he begins unwrapping it, pulling the wrapping off and folding it so that it wouldn't become litter.- I uhh... got you something too... -His face turns red as he pulls the gift from under his leg cloth.- I didn't have a chance to wrap it... -Pulls out a beaded necklace-
Marquess: -smiles as he begins to unwrap it, blinking as he stops though, and blushing deeper as he pulls out the necklace- w-wow.. t-that's s-so p-pretty! y-you didn't h-have to get me a-anything though -blushes deeper- T-thank y-you s-so m-much though..
Ardal: -Smiles a bit, staring down at his half unwrapped present.- I just.. thought you would like it. I made it with some beads I found. Sorry its not that great.. -Pulls off the rest of the paper and looks down at the box. He smiles softly and winds the dial.- Thank you Marquess.. Is it.. a particular song it plays?
Marquess: -blushes and smiles- I-I l-love it.. i-it's wonderful.. -slips it over her head and around her neck, smiling at it and blushing- h-how's it look? -smiles and watches him wind the dial, and blushes alittle deeper- i-it's the song t-that I_I always listened t-to when I was l-little b-before b-bed.. I-I still listen t-to it somet-times.. I-I have a m-matching one a-at home..
Ardal: It looks good on you. -Smiles when he hears what she says- Its lovely Marquess. I'll think of you whenever it plays... -Watches her, thankful she didn't reject the gift.-
Marquess: -smiling cutely, looking much more cheerful than when they first met, touching the necklace and standing to see almost pose, looking at him- r-really? l-like this too? -smiles and walks alittle closer, sitting almost beside him but angled toward the music box- y-you really l-like your g-gift? -smiles at him-
Ardal: -Nods a bit.- I do.. I.. its been a while since I've been given a gift. It was really nice of you Marquess.. -Smiles more when she comes closer. He lifts out a paw and touches the necklace- Yes, it suits you very well.
Marquess: -smiles cheerfully and gives a small giggle- I-I'm glad you do.. -blinks abit- y-you don't get gifts o-often? --blushes when he touches the necklace but smiles lightly- I-I'm glad.. I-I'll wear i-it whenever I c-can -smiles-
Ardal: -Shakes his head a bit.- My life really is about my master... I get him things. Once in a while he might get me something, but not often. -His cheeks blush a bit- You look... beautiful Marquess.
Marquess: -pouts alittle- w-well I-I'll get you gifts then! -blushes deeply- t-to u-um.. m-make u-u-p f-for a-all those t-tiem you n-never got a-any.. -paws alittle at her pink cheeks and turns scarlet when he tells her she's beautiful- b-b-b-beautiful o/////o? r-r-really? I-I mean t-the n-neckl-l-lace i-is b-beautiful b-but m-m-me?! -squeaks and shuts her eyes, all flustered and nervous-
Ardal: -Can't help but laugh- You don't have to get me anything, being near you, being your friend is a gift enough. -Seeing her cheeks flush his smile widens.- Yes... you, Marquess. You are much more beautiful than the necklace. -He lifts a paw and strokes her cheek gently-
Marquess: -blushes deeper as he laughs but smiles- w-well I-I'll get y-you them a-anyway.. f-friends d-do that d-don't they? -still stays all flustered and squeaks as her cheek is touched and strokes, but doesn't move away, looking at him in slight disbelief- r-really? n-no o-one's e-ever c-cally m-me beautiful b-before.. m-maybe m-my p-parents b-but I-I mean t-they're my parents s-so I-I don't k-know i-is.. -murmurs alittle quieter, needing the reassurance about his truth- it really t-true?
Ardal: -Brightens his smile but a flush moves over his cheek.- They tell you the truth, you are very beautiful. I mean that Marquess. -He lets his paw move away, unsure why he was having a sudden fasination with the girl. There was something about her that was making him feel... more alive than usual.- If you get me things... I'll have to get you more things. -Smirks-
Marquess: -blushes deeply and smiles sweetly, all shy but happy- t-thank you.. s-s-so m-much.. I-I'd h-have n-never thought.. -laughs alittle and blushes- w-well you d-don't h-have to g-get me a-anything i-in return I-I j-just w-would l-like to m-maybe get y-you some p-presents.. I-I w-wouldn't w-want to b-be any t-trouble I-I mean y-you having t-to g-go out a-and get p-presents f-for me a-and stuff..
Ardal: -He laughs and scratches the back of his head- I'll be honest... when I get you things they'll more than likely be homemade... I don't get out very often and when I do I prefer to be out in nature. So don't expect anything fancy, but I would love to occasionally make you things. -Flashes her a smile before leaning down to whisper in her ear.- Very Beautiful.
Marquess: -blushes and smiles- w-well i-if they're a-anything l-like this n-necklace t-they'd be amazing hehe.. h-homemade things a-always h-have m-more meaning t-too.. -blushes and fidgets abit- I-I wish Icould m-make things- I-I really suck t-though hehe.. s-so a-anything I-I made w-wouldn't b-be any g-good.. -smiles and then squeaks at the whisper, jumping abit and fidgetting- k-kyaa.. w-what i-is? -blushes and pouts alittle at him, confused-
Ardal: -He lets out a loud laugh at her skittishness.- You. You are very beautiful, Marquess. And I don't want you to forget that. -Hearing the rest of her statement, he curled his tail around himself- If you want maybe I can teach you how to make some things... I'm sure you aren't as bad at it as you think you are.
Marquess: -goes scarlet and squeaks, pawing at her red face and hiding it behind her cape alittle- A-ardal! -smiels at him though, alittle embarassed, but nicely so. She puts down her paws as he speaks, still red, but laughing abit- I-I bet I-I am heh.. b-but I-I'd love t-to learn from y-you -blushes and smiles at him- i-if anytone c-can improve m-me I-I think i-it'd be you..
Ardal: -Bursts out laughing at her reaction, leaning against the tree with his arms folded. Smirking with a satisfaction, he gives a nod.- Then... I will teach you. But first... I want to show you something. Would you trust me enough to come with me?
Marquess: -blushes and pouts alittle- i-it's not f-funny! -smiles though and laughs with him abit anyway, and nods, blinking as he asks but smiling lightly- s-sure.. I-I trust you. -blushes abit, and thinks to herself alittle, wondering what made Ardal so trustworthy compared to all the rest she had come to be skittish and afraid of, but is more consumed in watching him and waiting for him to go, getting up and blinking lightly-
Ardal: -Moves from the tree and holds out his paw.- Then would you take my paw and come along with me Milady? -He smiles and lowers his head.- I promise you will like it.
Marquess: -blushes abit and nods, smiling and sliding her paw into his- d-don't f-forget the m-music box hehe.. -smiels cutely and blinks at the ribbon, picking it up and thinking for a moment, before shyly tying it around his arm, smiling cutely- s-so you d-don't have to carry it
Ardal: -Smirks and picks up the music box and nods.- I won't. -Starts moving through the trees, traveling for a little bit before he comes to a ridge. He round it and moves through some brush, pushing it out the way so she could get her frame through it. He then helps her down a small hill and points to a small waterhole. There in the waterhole was what looked like a dozen glowing dots, making the water twinkle like Christmas lights-
Marquess: -has abit of trouble through the landscape since she hardly ever wanders far from her home unless it was by accident, smiling as he helps though, and making it through, blinking as she sees the small waterhole and giving a gasp. She puts her paws over her mouth in astonishment- o-oh w-wow! i-it's beautiful Ardal! -gazes in wonder, smiling widely and laughing alittle- c-can we get c-closer?
Ardal: -Nods and helps her down the slope to the water edge. He smiles at her as he dips his paw in the water and pulls out a white lilly that was glowing a soft hue.- Its a Christmas lilly. It only grows here that I know of. -He lifts it and hands it to her- I thought you would like it..
Marquess: -blushes and slides down the slope with him, blinking as he puts his paw in the water and watching, and then gasps lightly at the lilly, looking up at Ardal and blushing as he hands it to her, taking it and smiling- o-oh wow.. i-it's s-so beautiful A-ardal.. a-are you s-sure I can t-take it? -blushes and smiles at him-
Ardal: You can take it... but it will lose its glow after a while. Its the water.. its enchanted... and it gives the lillies its glow. See what I mean.. touch the water, its warm... as if winter hasn't even touched it... Its the strangest thing I've ever seen.
Marquess: -looks alittle saddened when she hears it will loose its glow, but blinks and slowly follows his instruction, dipping her paw in the water and flushing at the warmth- o-oh wow.. it really i-is warm.. s-so strange.. -blushes and looks at the lilly in her paws, and gently puts it back on the surface of the waterhole and smiles at Ardal, alittle pink- i-instead of me keeping one.. maybe you could t-take me back here to s-see it.. t-that way they w-won't loose their glow..
Ardal: Then I will. -He smiles at her and gently squeezes her paw- I'm glad you like it. This is one of my favorite places to come to. It helps me relax.. and makes me think that not all magic is bad...
Marquess: -blushes and smiles, holding his paw lightly- i-it is a new favorite of mine.. a-and it isn't.. -smiles and flutters her crystalline wings abit- w-we're magical aren't we?.. a-and you're d-definitely not b-bad.. -floats alittle thanks to the crystals in her wings, making her just as tall as him as she giggles abit- s-see?
Ardal: -Tilts his head to the side and shrugs a little- I guess in a way we are... Its just... -He frowns a little when thinking about his master and sighs- You know... I'd rather not bring my master up right now. I would rather tonight just be about me and you. -Seeing her float he smiles- I see. -Blushes softly-
Marquess: -blinks and ears droop alittle at the frown, but nods alittle, smiling as he says he wants to just think about him and her- w-well maybe w-we could fly? I-I bet the w-water would look n-nice from above.. I-I'm not very good a-at flying e-either.. s-since I-I'm so l-little the w-wind takes me v-very easily, a-and m-my floating p-powers a-aren't t-top notch either..
Ardal: Sure. If you fall or get carried away I'll help you. -He smiles and lifts his wings, flapping them with great gusto as he ascends into the air-
Marquess: -blushes as he flies, and looks at her own wings, blushing, but fluttering them and slowly following after him, hovering abit more than flying but smiling as she tries to catch up- h-hey! w-wait up!
Ardal: I'm waiting, I'm waiting.- Chuckling he doesn't go very far, waiting for her to catch up. He swoops in lower, joining her at her side. He looks down, admiring the glowing in the water.- Is there anything you want to do tonight before I have to leave?
Marquess: -blushes and giggles abit, fluttering until they reach side by side, smiling and staying beside him, and looking down at the glowing water- i-it's really beautiful hehe. -blinks as he asks and looks abit disappointed when he reminds her he has to go again, but thinks and giggles abit- well I can ask when will you be back heh? -blushes and smiles- a-also.. could you.. maybe c-come back t-tomarrow t-too? s-so we c-can.. s-sorta spend C-Christmas together..
Ardal: I... I will try, but I can't guarantee anything... If I can sneak out without my master realizing it. -He watches her, trying to make sure she's alright with flying this high.-
Marquess: o-okay.. I-I'll wait here t-tomarrow until t-the time y-you said to leave okay? -blushes and smiles lightly, teetering alittle in the air because of the wind and her small frame, but staying up still- u-um.. a-anything y-you wanna do t-though? t-tonight?
Ardal: Actually... you might want to come a little later and stay a little later. If I can make it it will be late unfortunately. I'll have to sneak out when the Master is sleeping. -Moves in closer to her and gently takes her paw, steadying her with his strength.- I don't know if I have much time left.. -Glances at the moon- I'm just enjoying spending my time with you as long as I can...
Marquess: -blinks abit but nods, smiling- o-okay.. I'll wait as long as I can.. -looks at the moon also and hears him as he holds her paw, her ears drooping alittle- oh.. well.. -thinks abit and then blinks and blushes as he speaks and smiles- m-me too.. i-it's been a great night.. t-thank you.. -smiles and looks around abit before thinking- m-maybe.. y-you could t-tell me abit a-about w-what you l-like?
Ardal: What I like? -He blushes a bit when she asks this.- I... I... don't know... I've never been asked that before... -He notes this with a little bit of a matter-of-factness to his voice- All I know... is that I like being with you Marquess... I know I shouldn't.. but I do. You... you make me feel like I actually exist. I feel... happy when I'm with you. That's... all I know.
Marquess: -blinks as he blushes and listens to him, and starts flushing when he tells what he does know, and squeaks cutely, pawing at her red cheeks- r-really? -looks up at him alittle and smiles abit- I-I.. f-feel the s-same way.. y-you're o-one o-of the v-very few t-things I-I'm n-not t-that a-afraid o-of.. i-it's v-very c-comfortable a-around you.. I-I like being with you too.. -blushes abit- m-maybe.. I-I can try seeing w-what you like.. like s-show you t-things t-to see i-if you like t-them? -smiles at him and blushes cutely-
Ardal: -He smiles and blushes softly, swiftly nodding- As long as I get to spend more time with you... -For a moment he realizes that his attachment could be bad for her if his master ever found out.- But... we... need to keep this a secret... I can't risk my master finding out about you... or he'll... -Shakes his head back and forth, not wanting to scare her with the actual details.- He might get mad at me... He's really jealous... -Can't help but think of how cute she looks with flushed cheeks-
Marquess: -smiles and nods, blushing- o-of course. d-doing what we b-both like best hehe.. -blinks as he talks though and whines abit- o-okay.. I-I'll be as c-careful as I c-can -smiles lightly and flushes- d-don't let h-him get m-mad at you.. t-taht'd m-make me sad..
Ardal: I promise.. I will make sure he knows nothing. I don't want anything bad to happen... -He slowly descends toward the ground, his eyes watching her-
Marquess: -slowly descends with him, and watches him as well- g-good.. -smiles cutely before getting knocked alittle by a larger gust of wind, squeaking as she flutters and spazzes, crying out alittle as she completely freaks and panicks-
Ardal: -Instantly flies up and catches her, wrapping his paws around her to try and calm her and let her know its safe- Its alright.. I have you...
Marquess: -squeaks as she's caught, flailing alittle but clinging to Ardal, blushing deeply as he calms her and hiding her face in her cape- I-i'm s-s-s-orry!
Ardal: -Smiles at her and gently rubs her back.- Its alright. Nothing to be sorry about. I'm glad I can be here for you.. -Holds her close-
Marquess: -sniffles abit but looks up at him and nods, clinging to him still and hiding her face in his fur abit, murmuring alittle muffled by her hiding- t-thank you..
Ardal: -Smiles and leans down, kissing the top of her head- My pleasure, Marquess... -He gently floats back toward the ground-
Marquess: -blushes deeply as her head is kissed and jsut squeaks, hiding in him and refusing to budge as her face grows all warm-
Ardal: -Keeps her close, continuing to rub her back, just enjoying the feeling of holding her so close to him-
Marquess: -stays flushed, and looks up alittle at him after awhile, before squeaking and moving back abit, all red and embarassed- I-I'm s-so s-sorry.. I-I'm s-such a c-clutz a-aren't I-I?
Ardal: You're fine Marquess.. no reason to be sorry. -Lifts her chin and glances into her eyes. He moves closer and kisses her cheek gently- I do have to go unfortunately though...
Marquess: -blushes and looks up at him, mouth falling open alittle as she's captured alittle into his eyes, and blushes at the kiss, squeaking and covering her omouth alittle, but smiling until he says he has to go, slumping alittle- o-oh.. right.. u-um.. -flushes and fidgets- w-well.. M-Merry.. Christmas? -blsuhes and looks up at him lightly-
Ardal: Merry Christmas Marquess. -Smiling at her reaction, he strokes her cheek gently before leaning close and giving her a real kiss. After pulling back, he says- I'll help you back to the oak to make sure you make it safely, then I should leave...
Marquess: -blushes and nods cutely, smiling and then blinks as she's kissed and squeaks, jumping, and looking startled, but looks down at her lips and then at him and can't help but smile past her scarlet cheeks, scootitng back over, too shy to return the kiss, but gently nudges his chin since she's so short, before looking at her paws, still smiling as she fidgets, flustered- o-okay.. t-thank you.. Ardal.. -glances up at him, so shy, but happy-
Ardal: -Slightly disappointed at hte reaction, but nods. He lightly nuzzles her cheek when she nudges his chin but takes a step back.- I guess we're off then.. -He starts to help her back out of the ridge and off toward the tree-
Marquess: -sees the disappointed look and looks alittle upset herself, but she nods and follows him slowly, thinking alittle to herself-
Ardal: -Steps closer to the tree, turning to face her once he reached it- Goodnight Marquess. Merry Christmas.
Marquess: -steps after him, and looks up alittle- g-goodnight A-ardal.. M-Merry Christmas -sits there, watching him go, but can't help yelling- A-ardal!
Ardal: -Turns to look at her when she yelled his name, his brows knit together- Did I forget something? -Chuckles lightly-
Marquess: -blushes and fidgets abit, but yells after him- l-listen to t-the box t-tonight i-if you can! -blushes- I-I will too.. -pauses for a moment before fidgetting more and murmuring- a-and t-try.. y-your best t-to come tomarrow.. I-I'll be waiting.. p-promise.. -smiles alittle- n-night..
Ardal: I will try and I promise to listen to the music box. -He smiles at her and nods- Goodnight Marquess. -Lowers his head in a bow before disappearing-
Marquess: -bows back and watches him disappear, fidgetting alittle where she is and touching her necklace lightly before slowly walking back home, smiling just alittle, even though she grows gloomier the farther she goes away-
