Are you going to watch the premiere?
  Heck yes! I can't wait!
Maybe. It depends on alot of things.
  No, I'll watch it whenever...
I have no intentions of even watching the show.

Anyone here as excited about the Legend of Korra as me? I can't wait for it! Part of me is a little nervous, though, but who isn't? Post your opinions and feelings here!

I think you already know my opinion, but I'm really worried about it. Not only will we have to suffer Kataang spawn, but what if they do the same thing again and make the same mistakes? Will there be any blatant plot holes or loose ends? Will there be any hard choices made easy for the hero, or anyone else for that matter?

I'm really hoping that they learned from the last show, which was amazing, but had quite a few flaws that needed to be fixed up (that they didn't do by adding pointless filler. Was the East Ember Island Players really pertinent?)

Here's hoping *finders crossed*

When is it going to air anyway?

I have to agree with you there. I really hope they don't rub the whole "Kataang spawn" thing in our faces too much. I'm okay with a couple cute flashbacks of the two, but I'll be ticked if it gets to be repetivitve and constant. >_>

Gah, the plot holes! I'm a bit worried about that myself. Maybe we'll finally find out where Zuko's mother is, though, which would be nice. If pull another Lionturtle thing, though, I'm going to flip. XD I thought the Ember Island Player episode was nice because it went through main events from the whole show to update fans who had missed some episodes right before the finale. They could have made the play shorter, though, and not so emotional with the whole Katara and Aang moment since it added nothing to the episode except that Aang annoyed me then. One episode I actually didn't care for was the Daydreams and Nightmares episode from season 3. It was good to see that Aang was nervous and all, but it got way too random and childish after awhile. They could have blended a few of the season 3 epsidoes together to make room for other more important episodes (like finding Zuko's mother, damnit!). You're so right about the flaws that needed fixing, though.

When I first heard about the Legend of Korra it was rumored it would start January 2011. That was false, though, since had that been true we would have heard something by now. Part of me hopes it's during the summer so I don't miss any episodes, but who knows. We'll have to keep alert on that so we don't miss it.

I heard it's going to be a very short series, maybe around 12 episodes. Did anyone else hear this, too?

Exactly!

Anywho, I've only heard about the show being a miniseries, but beyond that I've got nuthin'. Hopefully another poster will know...hopefully.

Imagine if it was only 5 episodes? I'd be so angry! I sure hope another member of this guild knows about when it may air. I'll start to do a little research as well. I'm still nervous about the show, though.

I'm really curios as to what the theme song will be and if they'll get the same musicians back again since they made amazing background music.

I am too, but i don't know if I want the original musicians to do it. As much as I love them, if the Legend of Korra is steampunk then they should take some elements from the past theme and incorperate some techno. Not to heavy with the electronics, but enough to blend with the old and give it an apropriate feel to it.

Who knows...

Good point. I'm interested to see the steam punk aspect of the show and how it'll play into the characters. I hope you're right about the music. If they choose crappy music to play I'll be really ticked. XD

Oh yeah! On the Avatar Wiki website it says, as of now, The Legend of Korra should be 12 episodes and will air November 2011. This could change, though.

Agreed. Avatar started as a 12 episode idea, too, and it got such good feedback that it turned into a three season show. Maybe the same thing will happen with this one. If it's only 12 episodes I feel there won't be enough time to fully develop the characters, which is just about the best part of the show.

What is the legend of korra?

The Legend of Korra is basically the sequal to the Avatar series and it involves a new Avatar, who's from the Souther Water Tribe, seeking out teachers so she can master the four elements. From the sounds of it, the show will have a slightly darker theme than the original show and it should prove to be really interesting. ^_^

I'll have to second the opinions already stated above. I'm concerned their going to make the same mistakes with the Legend of Korra as they did with the LoA . . . . and then there is that offensive spawn that will be teaching Korra Air bending . . . .

While, I want to see it, I have to admit, that I'm disappointed that they're not going to do anything with Zuko and finding his mother and still ruling the Fire Nation . . . *sighs* Zuko heart

FYI, nickelodeon ordered another 14 episodes and the airdate has been pushed back to mid-2012.

personally, i might test the waters with the premiere, but whether i keep watching will depend heavily on the writing, and whether kataang is shown on-screen. i'm sure everyone knows how violently allergic i am to kataang and maiko, so even a single scene of aang & katara cuddling or kissing or whatever will probably make me turn the show off for good.
