Bribes are no longer accepted. Don’t even ask.
Read the rules in the individual colorist journals. There are some that do no edits, some that will edit to your heart’s delight to name a few differences that might exist between custom journals. Be sure to read their first pages in their entirety before asking questions!
Do not harass colorists about a pending custom, or to open more slots. We have real life obligations that must come first, and has a tendency to take us away from the shop. Slots will open when the colorist has time, and not before. As for pending customs, PM the colorist politely first after a sufficient time has passed (usually about a month), but not repeatedly. If no reply, then please contact Mira with your concern, and she will see what she can do, but please do try to be patient as school and college are killers to the staff. >.<
Unless stated otherwise by the individual colorist, all slots are first come, first serve. Sometimes we miss out, but there will be other slots later!
Respect the colorist concerning pricing on customs. Some charge for edits, some do not, and such should be listed as part of the price guide in their journals. Just remember the more highly edited your custom is, the more you may be charged.
If there is a concern with the final result of a custom, please question the colorist politely. Sometimes a certain colorists style may not fit what you had in mind, or perhaps what the colorist thought you meant wasn’t what you really had imagined...these can be worked out respectfully!
Trade must be started before a custom can be begun. Unless worked out otherwise with the colorist, we prefer knowing we’re not getting the run-around, especially if it’s a very high priced custom, and it’s just a good business practice anyways. Remember this is a contractual agreement between parties, and must be treated as such.

How many customs can I get a month? Am I limited? No limit exists at this time, however, please take others into consideration! After all, you might not be the only one who wants a slot from a particular colorist.
Can my friend and I co-own? Of course you can! There is an agreement thread that will help settle who has certain rights and such so no misunderstandings come about later. However, if you see someone getting a custom you like, don't pester them into co-owning with you simply because you like it. If they want to co-own with you, they will let you know!
Payment plans? Talk to the colorist you want to get a custom done from first, to see if they are is willing to accept a payment plan. Some will do it, others will not.
I got a cool item! Can I pay for my custom with this? Depends on the colorist, but mostly we do accept items as payment. However, it may depend on the item in question as well, since some might accept what another doesn't want.
What about refunds? No refunds, unless the colorist is unable to complete your order. If there is a discrepancy or something wrong about your custom, ask the colorist politely about your concern, and we will do our best to complete it to your satisfaction. However, if it involves a change and we were not notified of it before the custom was completed according to the original order, a charge will be incurred depending on how small or complex the change is that you wanted to make.
Hey, I see you have some of the lines up in the Coloring Arena...can I use them/color them to use for references? Yes, using those are very appreciated to help us get a better feel for the pet you ultimately want to have, especially for more complex design ideas. However, you may not use those lines for any other purpose other than for references and posting your ideas in the coloring arena.
Okay, so I ordered my custom. How long do I wait? This varies from colorist to colorist, and depends on their individual abilities and time. This can take anywhere from hours for a simple one to weeks for a more advanced.
If I forget something on my form, can I edit it? Yes, it is allowed, but you MUST notify the colorist about it. Colorists are not responsible for any changes if no notification is received. Also note that some edits may change how much is owed, so keep that in mind.
Hey, I got a slot, my custom is being made...can I RP the pet yet? No, not until your custom is finished and official. If a LONG time has passed, say a few months, some colorists may give you permission to do so, but you must ask the first. Normally, we suggest just waiting patiently and the pet will be done before you know it! What if I make up a character from my own imagination..is that considered a cosplay? Of course not! Any character that you create from your own mind is yours. You will not be charged a cosplay price for your own characters.
What about customing a cosplay from an upcoming event? Can I order it? If there is a cosplay event coming up that might feature the character you wish to claim, ask the colorist who is doing the event if the character is going to be used for the event. If the answer is no, then you are free to claim a custom slot for that character.
Actually it is just best, as a general rule of thumb, to inquire about the status of any cosplay you seek to make sure they will not be used in any future event that might not of been announced yet. Feel free to PM Mira about those questions anytime!
My custom sorta looks and acts like a cosplay, but it's my own character...is this allowed? No, you may not role play any lions like a cosplay, it's against the rules.
I know so-and-so has a male version of such-and-such cosplay, and I really like that character...can I order that character in another gender? The owner of the cosplay must consent to this before we can go ahead and do it. If they say no, then the answer is no. Please respect the other owner if they prefer not to do this.
The owner said I could get a female so-and-so-cosplay! Will she look any different from the male version? Yes, if an owner grants you permission to get the opposite gender of their cosplay, he/she must look different. This means possibly another outfit from the character, different hair style, etc. Colors and personality can stay the same, but other various things must look different to give both owners an individual pet.
I was questing for a cosplay, it was in my signature and everything, but someone got him/her before me!! I understand why you are upset, but unfortunately, questing for a cosplay, especially if it's popular, doesn't mean you reserve that character. Cosplays are on a first come, first serve basis, though you can try contacting the new owner about working out your concerns, and the possibility exists of getting the same character in a different gender.
