Sukanya laid in a comfortable patch of grass. Her dark colouring standing out quite vividly in the lovely green and floral shade background. She was...not upset, nor was she happy. She just felt...numb.

Her son was gone.

...Well, he was simply out playing on his own but his wandering feet had been getting stronger and soon she knew he would leave her. She felt...old. Like her cub had left her drained and her youth was gone, even though she was still quite a young adult. She had given everything to her son, and had changed her life, let her life revolve around him so that he would be safe and now he'll be old enough to leave soon and she would be on her own - again.

She adored her son, and her life and to be honest, even though she had run herself so tired that she found herself sick often, she wouldn't have changed a thing.

The leopard smiled. She would miss being a mother, she decided, but she would let him go. After-all, that's what good mothers did. She heaved a heavy sigh and flopped further into the grass, her tail flicking lazily. The early morning sun was lulling her to sleep, though she needed to stay awake to make sure Makosa came home safely.
