Whelps, a good amount of the characters aren't quite human. And if we get any more members, they might want to make a character of a race other than human as well. So, to keep confusion to a minimum I've decided to put together a little encyclopedia of sorts! There will be some variables which can be bent to your fitting, but for the most part, the races will have the same advantages and disadvantages, abilites and what not. But those as well can also be changed to your liking, somewhat. Not too much though, or else they'd be considered a totally different race. It's a little confusing the way I phrase it, I know. So let me make an example.
Demons! The race I am famous for loving!
What makes a demon? Well, most demons come from the Gateway; an interdimensional pathway to the Demonic plain, which is basically a world in another plane of existance as ours. Demons are usually aminal like in nature, often having features of one, or several different kinds of animals. And example is the Bird or Harpy Demon, they have the wings of a bird, but also the horns of a bull in most cases. Also, all demons have a humanoid form in which they take on the form of a human, only with a tribal marking somewhere on their bodies that distinguishes them from the humans. Alot of elite demons can hide this marking to meld in further with the human populous, however in most cases it will arise once again when around anything holy. Note; the sun does not count as holy. Demons aren't effected by the rays of the sun.. Well, except for sunburns and a few tribes, but that's about it.
Alot of demons have a naturally high metabolism, which allows many of them to quickly heal their wounds when stationary, some can regenerate whole limbs! Many demons have special abilities that set them out from the rest, usually carried by tribe. Like how Duriono can quickly swap back and forth between weapons in the blink of an eye. Most demons have the ability to harnest an element of some sort, or their own traits in order to unleash a plethora of unnatural attacks. These are similar to the special abilities section above, but however these aren't exactly kept by tribe but rather the type of demon you are.
There are some legends that a man can become a demon by slaying a thousand demons themselves, there are various legends as to how one can become a demon after being born of another race, many of them are bogus however.
Fiends; Fiends are basically the same thing as demons, only that they are more malicious, have very little self control, and have a powerful urge to see the blood of everything they come across. They are hardly ever seen in their human guises, and if they are they can easily be spotted out by their blood red eyes.
Also: All demons go rogue at least once in their life. Going rogue means that a demon looses their self control, and goes on a wild rampage. This can happen during any point in life, even before birth! In many cases, demons will never revert from their outrage and will jump the gap from Demon, to Fiend. In some demons, this can happen several times, in fact it usually will happen several times!
Half fiends are very strange to see, they have the humanity of a demon, but also the bloodlust of a fiend. Not many notes here; other than one lives quite a ways from Veil over in Castellia.
Half demons: Half demons have been a little more common in recent years. They have the traits of two or more races. They often don't have demon forms, and either stay in their human forms. However, they can turn into a hybrid state, which is the closest they will ever get to going into a demonic form. In a hybrid state the demon gains animalistic attributes, but they don't go through any big changes such as skin color, eyes or anything like that. It is usually considerably weaker as well. Brig has one of these forms, what he turns into is a secret for now.

*writes up stuff about Dark Elves*
Dark Elves:
These humanoids are generally described as a subterrarean race of elves that have dark skin and pale hair, usually dark grey skinned, have red eyes and white hair, but variations exist within different bloodlines.
They are known for thier secretive and violent nature, often fighting among other clans or tribes. Often, they are brutal, ruthless warriors and have considerable strength. Women are seen as equal to men, and often carry the family name. Many have skills in black magic. They enslave other races to serve them and build their cities and expand their tunnels.
Many belive that if they go outside into the light, they become less powerful. However, the younger generations have proved that superstition wrong, and many live on the surface part time. Especially the Elisteree worshipers who return to the surface world.
Thier senses are considerably sharp, they can see in the dark far better than humans, but worse than other mammals adapted for night life. Hearing is also keen.
They die after a time and live for thousands of years, but will use dark magic and rituals to make themselves immortal, including making deals with the dark forces. (Zethriel is a fine example of this...) The average lifespan of a Dark Elf who hasn't done any rituals to earn more years is 6,000
They are thought to have decended from the nocturnal Night Elves. They live on a sperate continent than the one Armarus is on, they're similar to Wood Elves, but they only come out at night.
Elves in general:
They live to be about 6000 years old. They're lithe and pointy-eared, and can run fast over long distances.
Alright...I'll talk in depth about semi-demons. Duri skimmed across it, but those were half-demons. I'm going to go ahead and say they're different...if that's okay. I'd say the main difference is that you wouldn't be able to tell that they're a semi-demon unless you're a professional until they hit the preteen to teenage ages... so if I totally kill something...please forgive me...
>_________>
Semi-Demons:
They're very akin to full demons, but most always start with a normal, human life; and it builds up within until it finally takes place. I could list about 1,000 names, but I've heard 'demi-devils' or 'demi-demons', too.
Their range in powers is rather different to one another's, but it usually ends up in some way taking away a part of them. For example, a type of this would be a type of a semi-demon 'warlock', as it might be called. Whereas normal warlocks generally have control over summoning many demonic things, a semi-demon usually can only have one 'inner demon'; and it sucks at their 'soul' away greatly during all contact with it (which is virtually impossible to avoid).
Using their inner demon's power to their own advantage takes practice, and unless they're able to get a firm control on it, it'll end up in complete chaos and destruction. They can lose control of their body and end up killing innocent people.
Though the majority of cases consist with an inner demon developing within, this isn't always the case. It just consists of draining something away and getting it replaced by something. In the example of the semi-demons with inner demons, it's their soul that gets drained away during any contact with them at all- which is unavoidable, since they can talk within your mind, making you do chaotic things in rage, sleepiness, or stress.
A good example is Tess Zelia; her sight was taken but it was replaced by the ability to manipulate and sense vibrations at a much higher degree than humans. This includes auras and presences, since they pulse around people. Almost every action in this world will consequence in vibrations.
As Duri said about full demons, they usually represent something of an animal in one way or another; and can take on a human form. Since semi-demons are born human, they may alter their form in certain instances...though, it is usually uncontrollable (once again), until a higher level of practice and training.
If we want to refer back to our example of the blind semi-demon...Tess does have small wings, and they will gradually grow bigger as her skill increases. She actually has no idea they're there, and since she is almost constantly relying on her keen ability to sense vibrations (and manipulate them), they certainly appear more often than they would in most cases.
...yup. Even though no-one would likely see them unless you go on a mission with her, she wouldn't notice. She isn't even aware that they're...there...yet.
Of course, I'm only using Tess as an example, as I said earlier there is a lot of variety of their powers and how they react to certain things.
Also, when I said they were born human, keep in mind that from the moment they were born there was a demonic presence building within them. So, it's not like it's attainable after being born a pure human. So, when do these demon-like changes begin to take place?
When all the changes do, of course! By the time all the human changes are going on in the 11-16ish range, these changes are also up and ready to go. They improve with time and experience, but could prove a hazard if neglected.

I swear, I didn't intend to write this much...I even went back and cut out parts. -.- Should I try and shorten it more? sweatdrop

Angels/Half-Angels
Half-Angels:
+ Born either on eart or in heaven
+ Have the ability to dwell on earth in a physical form
+ May at times have angel wings expand from their back
+ Posess usually two supernatural abilities (With June it's her outfit changes and....well....was her prophetess-ness~) But sometimes are born with one or none
+ Can freely pass between heaven and earth
Angels:
+ Are born in heaven
+ Cannot pass between heaven and earth freely in physical form--if passage is possible, it is in spirit form, as it takes a lot of energy
+ Perpetually have wings/ can't hide them
+ Amount and range of abilities vary greatly from class and ranking
+ such class include guards, who guard over cities and individuals, and warriors, who were born to fight off demons.
Violet Apples, my character, is a fruit fairy, but I haven't talked about it in depth. Hahahaaa... *sweat*
These fairies first originated from vegetable and fruit plants. Fairies would live in those plants, making them their homes. As time went up, fairies evolved to be more like humans. Thus, they adopted many human qualities and nature. One of the most important changes was the adoption of last names. By this time, fairies were farming, so whatever plant they grew became their last name.
Fruit fairies are like most fairies: having wings and magical powers. As result of evolution, their physical bodies are more human than the first fairies, small, weak, and unable to hide their wings. Now, fruit fairies are tall as humans and are able to hide their wings. Their behavior varies from sweet to deadly. Not all fairies are kind.
The wings of fairies are varied. When a fairy is born, the wing that they have is permanent, although there is little chance of change taking place. Of course, wings can be altered with surgery, but there are many risks. A fairy can lose their ability to fly, powers, and one of the five senses. If a fairy does lose their ability to fly, powers, or one of the five senses, they would be exiled from the fairy society.
The fairy society is like many societies, ever growing and changing. The society isn't really special; it's just a way to acknowledge the fruit fairy race. In the race, there are many professions. The highest is fairy godmother. In the role, fairies help others with their problems.

Werewolves:
I am the rerturnee famous for werewolf characters~ (this is my myth collection to make it clear that i adapeted to the rp world.)
Werewolves are divided by their birth status:
Lycans: The fullbred werewolves. They were born from both mother and parent werewolves. (the parents status dont matter) They are stronger and have a heavier affect given by the full moon, and it can triple their strenght. They can make the wolf tail and ears appear at will.In thee wolf system they are the law.
Pureblood: The middle status, from only one werewolf parent. They are not to affected by the full moon, neither positive of negative. In the wolf system they have more power than turned wolves.
Turned: the wolves that were turned. They can be temporaly insane during full moon thoough their strength does double. They have no say in the wolf system.
Its hard to turn a human into a werewolf. It has to happen in a full moon between 12;00 am and 12;01 am.
Well, uhm... You know me, I'm a dork, so... I've decided to put up my little mini fish race for people to see and use. As a warning, it's long, and I'm too lazy to change the organization of it.
Aniketos
Life Span: 75-90 years.
Description: The Aniketos are an aquatic race of humanoids with some fish-like features. Their flesh is like that of a Human, but usually fairer and unblemished. Their hair is usually very long, and can come in many varied colours unseen among Humans, such as blue, purple, and green. They have angular, almost elf-like facial features, with wide eyes and long eyelashes. They have powerful arms and shoulders from their constant swimming and underwater activity, and their skin is usually either very tan from time spent in tropical areas or very pale from time spent in the depths of the sea. From the waist down, they have a fish-like tail with fins whilst underwater. However, Merpeople are capable of slowly turning this tail into a pair of long, elegant human legs, thus allowing them to walk on land and appear as strange, radiantly beautiful Humans. However, this makes most Aniketos uncomfortable, and they must bathe often to keep their skin healthy. At any time they wish, they can turn their legs back into an aquatic tail. These transformations are only contorable by will after the approximate age of 21. Aniketos breathe underwater using gills on their necks, but also possess the means to breathe above water. The gills fade away along with the tail when they morph to walk on land. Like Humans, Aniketos are omnivorous and mostly eat seafood and various aquatic plants. Aniketos, and all Aquatili, are the people of Naladius, Goddess of Water. Aniketos have the ability to mate both among themselves and with humans, but the chance of fertility is much lower when mating with humans. 60% of inner-species mating is profitable, when only 30% of human mating is successful. No matter if the offspring is purebred or not, all children live their lives as humans until the approximate age of 13, whereas the ocean in their blood begins to override the land-bound DNA. If an Aniketos, after the age of 21, favors the sea or land to the other, they risk losing the ability to change between the two. Newborn Aniketosi are very sensitive to air within the first 6 hours of life and must be handled with care. The children are born underwater themselves with their tails, owning up to their heratige of once being fully water-based, before the touch of air makes the inner ocean tides receed. Once a child's lungs are ready for air, there is a span of 3 hours where they must be kept at 85 degrees F as their bodies adapt from the cold of the ocean waves. Even 2 degrees too warm or cold and defects can form. If the child/children are brought to the surface too soon, leg birth defects or lung problems will appear. This can also happen to Aniketosi who are born out of water if they touch the air even for a moment but still manage to survive.
Mentality: Aniketos are a very deep-feeling and poetic people. Often, their emotions control them rather then the opposite. They are artistic and peace-loving by nature, and love to simply enjoy themselves and live joyfully. They consider the many hardships and difficulties on land to be little of their concern, and thus can often seem uncaring and ignorant. There are problems they must face under the sea, of course, but the oceans are so vast that the Aniketos live with almost no threats whatsoever to their people as a whole. Their greatest concerns are issues of pollution, aggressiveness from the sea creatures or their cousins, the Squibians, and the preservation of the beauty and life on the ocean floor. Aniketosi are kind, but often pay so little attention to the affairs of surface-dwellers that this kindness is only rarely shown.
Society: Aniketos are almost all loyal followers of their king, who rules over their underwater empire. They are self-sufficient, hunting aquatic beasts or gathering plant life for food. Their nation is very vast, and they consider almost all of the ocean floor to be their territory, save for the areas designated as Squibian waters. However, they allow all ships to pass over their lands, and often try to keep them from being shipwrecked (if the vessel is noticed at all). Giving warnings of sea monsters, storms, rocks, icebergs, or other hazards has become an enjoyable habit of many Aniketos. The transfer of their offspring to the land is a delicate process, and the majority of the young Anikenosi end up in towns by bodies of water filled with adults who have taken on the responsibility to educate the next generation in secret. Aniketosi are known to meddle in the affairs of humans, and have endangered revealing themselves because of that many times. They have minimal communication with Squibians, but consider their cousins far too barbaric to be true allies or friends, and have even warred with them in the past. Their cities are usually of stone, and are built entirely submerged in water. The more unique and elaborate cities are built under islands, with direct access to land above. One popular spot is Honolulu, Hawaii, where love is known to blossom, and with ties directly to the Aniketosi. The king of the Aniketosi is called the Thane, more for the flow of the word than the meaning it holds. To become the Thane of the Aniketosi, a male must first swoon a female by acts of bravery as well as acts of caring and sympathy, but their are other methods of obtaining the throne. Once an Aniketosi has become of age, no matter the gender, they are considered the heirs to the throne, though males are preferred over females. Traditionally, Aniketos of the royal family bloodline are those who have the chance at becoming Thane, but if a previous Thane has no offspring, let alone children who have come of age, then his bretheren may proceed to take the throne. A second way to take the throne is if it is a clan against clan dispute. The aspiring Thane-to-be will challenge the current Thane to a duel to the death, whereas the winner takes the throne. There are several different houses of the royal family - Yukimura, ---, ---, and the most powerful of them all, Demetriou. In the past the Yukimura clan had been known the most for being land-based, and thus their numbers of actual Aniketosi has dwindled as the genes have faded among the land-locked part of their group. Many of the most recent Yukimura decendents have never, nor will they ever, have a fish tail. This clan holds the majority of the Northern Pacific Ocean. The --- clan is known for their warriors, fierce and strong. In the cities where their influence is the strongest, they hold annually battles of wit and strength. They hold the Southern Atlantic Ocean as well as the Indian Ocean, and are the largest in number. The ----- clan is known for their scholars and writers. They are the creators of voodoo and other forms of magic, and hold the Southern Pacific Ocean. The Demetriou clan is the most powerful and fair clan of them all, having held the title of Thane for over three hundred years. Their territory is the Northern Atlantic Ocean. They have both fierce fighters and well-educated scholars.
Territory: The Aniketos consider enormous amounts of the oceans to be their own property, claiming possession of vast areas of water. However, these waters are not defended in any way whatsoever, save for patrols that watch for aggressive sea monsters, Squibians, etc. This has caused many people to be ignorant of their “ocean-wide kingdom”, and thus the waters near major cities or countries are usually considered the property of the surface-dwellers living there. Aniketos pass through these gray-area waters to deliver their children.
Religion: All Aniketosi worship Naladius, Goddess of Water. A cult called the Sea-Witches leads this faith.
Combat Specialties: Aniketos fight best underwater, obviously. They prefer to use spears or tridents to hold opponents off, and usually employ surround-and-circle tactics when they enter combat. Battalions of Aniketos swim circles around larger opponents and stab at them repeatedly. When facing smaller enemies, such as Squibians, the Aniketos resort to a more direct approach.
Yes, not all the clans are named still, but maybe you guys could help me with it? Also, I did not change the world layout because I was lazy. razz The Demetriou clan has been leading for the past couple of generations. I do have a character (even if I don't actually use him) who is a prince - 2nd oldest, his older brother (Adam) would take the throne when their father, Andreas, kicks the bucket. His name is Sotiris Demetriou. c:
