Humming quietly to herselft Ayoka groomed her fur, it was really relaxing by the water. Especially on a day like this; hardly any cold. Stretching and purring Ayoka looked up at the shiny crystal-like water infront of her with a smile. Stretching her paws out a bit farther with extended claws, she began to claw and paw at the ground. She did this at times to sharpen them as well as being a habit of comfort.
As she wiggled her tail back and forth, though it was relaxing, she found that she was fast becoming bored. Not many ventured this area, or at least hardly any came this way while she had been here.

He had stood by the edge of the rogue lands for sometime, gazing out into unknown territory questioning if moving on was right for him or if staying in the rogue lands best for him. Pawing at the ground, he didn't even realize how much time had past with all his thinking. He watched the sunbeams of the afternoon sun bounce off the grass and leaves on the plants infront of him. Nature really was beautiful at times, and scary at the others. He thought of the storm that happened days ago.
Putting his nose in the air, he smelled the freshness of the earth before getting up and making his way back to the rogue lands. Perhaps he would think of journey-ing else where another time and place. For now he had the urge to go swimming and bask in the warm sun.

Her bored at tapered off into amusement as she watched as fishes jumped out of the watering hole and seemed to dance just for her. Every now and then she dipped her front paws in the water to cool herself down. She nearly jumped as she felt something land on her head, her pink eyes looked up as two little blue birds dropped a flower ring on her head.
"Thank you little ones," She giggled out and took a deep breath to smell the sweet flowers. "I dreamt I dwell in marble halls, with castles and surfs at my side." She sang out the most beautiful voice, she was known throughout her pride as the 'voice of an angel'. She paused and listened to the birds sing along with her before continuing. She thumped her tail to the beat of the song she and the birds sung.

He had been walking for sometime now... he didn't think he would ever make it to the watering hole, his paws were getting tired and his ears droop a bit at the heat that the sun was beating down on him was brutal. Opening his mouth to pat a little, to cool his body down, he almost missed the sound of the most angelic voice he had heard ever. Cautiously he lowered his body as he moved stealthfully towards the voice.
Peeking through a deep brush of leaves, silver nose barely peeking out, he took in the sight of a leopardess.. and birds? singing to one another by the watering hole.

Suddenly the smell of male leopard reached her sensitive nose, on the sly she slightly moved her head to the side to see her spy in the brush. Well at least, that is where the smell was coming from. 'Oh, think you can hide from me can you.' Ayoka keep singing her tune and every now and then she'd move a little closer. Each step quiet and cautious, as not to surprise the male... guest? spy? peeping-tom? She really was questioning his hunting skills by the time she had gotten behind him.
She tilted her head as she looked at him. He was a pretty thing, for a male that is. He had the color of the night sky on him with lovely cloud like designs on his sleeping face. She blinked, " I wonder if my singing put him to sleep, wouldn't be the first time." She leaned closer to look at the design on his back, near his bum. " Oh, what a pretty butterfly." She said softly to herself as her company was obviously sleeping. She debated internally on whether to wake him or just leave him sleep for now. ' Hm, may as well let him sleep. He does look tired and he does not have a bad aura around him.' As soon as that thought was completed Ayoka stood and with the twitch of her tail she went back to her spot by the watering hole once more to bathe.

He continued to listen to the female sing, it was relaxing and surprisingly he found himself nodding off. His eyes were closed before he knew it and his breathing was slowing. Everything had faded to darkness and calm. The sound of a bird's squwack woke him up. Startled he jumped and hiss before blinking his droopy eyes. He tried to focus on where he was and how he got here. But before he could the sound a feminine voice saying 'hello' made him whip around to see who was there with him.
"Oh hello." He blushed embarassed that he was caught sleeping and hopefully the female would not be too weirdied-out by him sleeping near her. He cleared his throat before continuing, " You have a beautiful voice, it's so calming." He paused as he thought he sounded like an idot. When it came to females he was usually tongue-tied and unsure of what to do or say.

She had been about to dive into the water when a strange hissing sound and the movement of leaves started her. She almost laughed when the male leopard finally emerged from the bush. Leaves, twings, and other things were stuck in his fur. " Hello there." She tilted her head. "I am glad to see you finally woke up and made yourself known to us. We we starting to get worried." She used her tail as a pointer to all her little friends that lay next to her on the ground. She nodded her head in thanks. " I have been told that many times, I have also been my prides lullaby singer. I can get anyone to sleep faster than you can say my name." She winked jokingly and smiled. "Though it can be quite frustrating when others fall asleep on you."
Standing and making her over to the male leopard she began to introduce herself. "How rude of me, I forgot to say my name. I am Ayoka, nice to meet you." She bowed deeply in respect. "And you are mister stranger? What is your name?"

He watched as the female wandered nearer. " Nice to meet you Miss Ayoka," He bowed deeply in respect as well before answering her. "My name is Zarion, it is nice to meet you as well." He watched her out of the corner of his eye before turning his sight on the watering hole. It really was a beautiful place. The water simmered like diamonds, some flowers that had fallen from the trees floated along the current of the water, and fish were jumping- the fish were jumping?!
"Do... do the fish do that often?" He used his right paw to indicate what he was talking about. "I have not seen anything like that before in my life. The fish I know using swim under the water. Huh, its interesting." He followed the movements as the fish twirled and spun. He licked his lips in hunger, watching all the fish was making him quite hungry.

She smiled prettily at the other. " Hello Zarion, that is an interesting name. It is so different." She curled her tail in the air now and then to show that she was content in the males presence. She turned her head to watch the fishes jumping and twirling as well before she answered. "Yes, they often do something like this. Though not on cold days mind, but around this time they tend to dance. At least everytime I come here around this time they do, they may do it other times as well."
Her ears perked up, " Truly? You have not seen something like this before?" She looked sceptically at the other. 'He must have or still lives a sheltered life to have not seen such a thing.' Ayoka could see that Zarion was get offensive by her question. "I mean no insult, truly I do not but this does happen quite often and not just at this place. Please forgive me." Ayoka did not want to cause a fight, that was not her intent. She just wanted to relax before she had to leave.

" Yes, I have been told that many times about my name." He grumbled out as he continued to listen to her speak. He saw her look at him in such a way that made his fur bristle lightly. His pride members used to do that to him, look at him as if he were not right in the head. But then her next words calmed him down somewhat and he relaxed his tightened muscles.
"It is alright... I just haven't really been outside of my prides territory much. That is until recently, I found it quite smoothering and decided to leave on my own to start a new life for myself." He listened as Ayoka gave a sympathic noise and used her paw as a comforting touch to his shoulder. He was enjoying his time with this female, it was nice to talk with someone instead of fighting all the time. But soon he felt the twitch of his muscles, and then his paws began to get fidgety. He knew it was time to leave and be on his way to something more. Hopefully to a mate to love him or to a place that accepted him for him. Turning he looked his fill of the female beside him, he would think of her angelic voice in the lonely nights ahead but he knew it was time. " It was a pleasure meeting you Miss Ayoka, but it is time for him to make my way out further into the rogue lands. Many happy days upon you!" He gave his farewell and she replied in turn. With the flicker of his tail, he turned around a dashed out to explore the areas he had yet to see.
END.
