When Sailor Corvus went on patrol she was rarely alone. She met Sailor Saiph on the rooftops overlooking the streets of the outdoor shopping area. She met Sailor Eridanus by the park. Every now and then she even met with Sailor Alshain, although their meeting places were never the same, often going by whim (his more often than hers, that loose canon).
Tonight, though, she *was *alone. She had gone to her thinking place; a quiet spot on a cathedral roof where she sat leaning against a large gargoyle overlooking the wide stretch of grounds that would eventually lead her back to Crystal Academy. At the moment she had no interest in going back, though. She didn't want to be anywhere near the building or the room that confined her even though she knew her roommate would be there, likely with eagerness to make a quick cup of tea should she express any need for such a thing... And maybe she did need such a thing, but she wouldn't say so now. No, not when the only thing on her mind was something that she didn't think she could talk to anyone about. She had lost several months of her life. Something horrible had happened and she'd been trapped in a world that was both nightmare and dream; a place where she hadn't been in control at all. She had been separated from everything that she'd known and made to feel powerless and now that she was back she had to work to build herself back up again. Everyone seemed to be trying to take care of her. Cordelia Carden would have been fine with that Sailor Corvus wasn't. *She *was the one who was supposed to be taking care of *them* and there was no way she would be able to do that now... Not like this.

Fayalite was bored... confused, and bored. She had started to question her position in the Negaverse... she was questioning things she had not questioned before. Mainly? her usefulness. She had had a very serious and well... interesting conversation with her captain.
One where he pretty much kicked her a**, her scalp still hurt from where he dragged her around by her hair. It's amusing now that she looks back on it... herself being older and taller, while Zinkenite, the shorter and younger, brought her back. Fayalite was like that though, pep talks do not work with her. You need to BEAT things into her. Pain she understood. Talking could come later.
Not that she enjoyed it, she was no masochist.
Fortunately for Corvus.... if she looked down, she would spot the Lieutenant in all of her glory. She was doing her traditional rounds... looking for suckers to steal energy off of. Fayalite had no shame, if she had to play the part of a addict... a whore... she would to take energy. Not that she would LET any bits get close enough to her to gain the title 'whore', but she would pretend and play along just enough to steal energy and go on to the next victim.

Her eyes opened as she leaned down, brow furrowing as she caught sight of a familiar shadow; one that she'd gone far too long without seeing. It wasn't that she had given up on ever seeing the Negaverser again, or that she had forgotten about her, no... It was more that she just hadn't had time to think of old enemies and what trouble they might be up to while recovering from the living nightmare that had been Tartaros.
Sailor Corvus pushed herself up to her feet, eyes narrowing as she watched the shadow move down the street. The sway of the lantern caught her attention and for some time she watched it, back and forth... Back and forth.
What was she doing out there? What had she been doing this entire time? How many people had she killed?
A low growl curled her lips into an ugly snarl as she brought her hand up, cursing that the ball of energy she wanted to summon just wouldn't form at her fingertips. Why couldn't she do anything about all of the hurt, all of the pain that the Negaverser had done while she hadn't been around? Why couldn't she take vengeance for all of those who had fallen while she had been out?
She could, though... And she would. In her own way, at least. Sailor Corvus took a deep breath, steeling her resolve before dropping down off of the building, landing with a click of her heels against the black paving on the street. "Funny... Meeting you here, of all people."

Victim victim... who would be the next. Like a shark seeking out a wounded victim Fayalites eyes darted around...seeking. Hunting. PReying. She was not killing anymore.. usually. Only hindrance was, she needed to physically touch to gather what they needed. And who wanted to touch a shark?
Good thing she was a wolf in sheeps clothing.
Still searching... her eyes narrowed on a single target. Human, male.. he was already eying her. Perfect. Just as she was about to approach... she saw his eyes turn wide, and he looked away and RAN.
The hell...? Then she heard the voice. "Cant you ******** senshi just so what your good at?" She looked over her shoulder. She knws the voice. "And that would be?........
"Dying."
Summoning her weapon, she turned around and eyes the senshi. She knew this senshi... corvus. She remembered her attack... Fayalite would need to remember to be careful.

"We're good at a lot more than that, you know. A lot more than you lot give us credit for. Surely you of all people should know just how good we are at kicking a**, Faya-darling." Her own voice was dripping with sickly-sweet venom, eyes gleaming dark as they fixed on the Lieutenant.
"Why don't you do what you're good at and run away before you wind up getting your a** handed to you, hm?"

"Thats another thing you senshi are good at..." Another sigh, she turned around to face the senshi. " Preaching to those not wanting to listen. Didn't you read the no soliciting sign, dear?" She narrowed her eyes and edged around the girl.... how do you hit someone whom's attack is based on nothing but you hitting them first?
Simple... you try and make them hurt themselves.
"What.. going to just sit there like child, eh corvus?"

"Sit? No, I'm not just going to sit here... Or stand here, for that matter... But would it make you nervous if I did, Lieutenant?" Her head tilted as she watched the other girl, turning slowly on her own heels as the Negaverse agent rounded her. She knew what it felt like to be hit by that lantern pole enough to know that she should be wary... Just as Fayalite seemed to know what would happen if she were to strike first.
"Why don't we just skip to the chase, hm? Stop all of this chit-chat and get to the real reason we're both standing here... One way or another, it all boils down to a fight for what we believe in and I believe it's time for you to say goodnight." Corvus could feel the power of her sphere rippling just beneath the surface of her senses; begging to be tapped into, needing the fight to make that happen.
"Ready, Faya? Catch." She grinned, lunging herself at the Lieutenant. Maybe a battle was just what she needed...

The battle began just as it always did between the two of them, so used to each other's movements that should anyone stumble upon them they might think it was choreographed; a publicity stunt of some sort just to give the local media one more thing to fuss and flail about. It wasn't, though. No, Corvus and Fayalite had simply danced this dance enough times before that it just seemed routine.
The only thing that didn't seem routine was that, despite the fact that Fayalite had landed a few blows (a few damn good blows), Corvus still hadn't used her powers against the Negaverse agent. It seemed as though she was waiting for something... Or maybe she was just being cocky.
It didn't take Fayalite long to catch on to this, though, and soon Corvus found herself backed against a wall, bruised and panting, one arm wrapped around her middle as the other extended to finally release the first charge of her power. "Revenge!"
The attack missed. Her hand hadn't been nearly steady enough to direct the sphere and Fayalite, spurred on by the knowledge that her opponent was visibly weaker than she was (stupid senshi), found enough of an extra burst of speed to dodge it. "You're going to have to try better than that if you want to hit me, girl."
Corvus pushed herself up against the bricks, supporting herself just a little bit better this time as she released her wounded side so that she could put both hands together. She held herself steady, finding her center as best she could before releasing a second blast, this one finding its mark.
She fell to the ground as Fayalite flew back and likely would have stayed there had it not been for the sound of a softly nagging voice. "Corvus. Corvus... Get up. Oh, you're never going to beat her like this."
And then she was glowing...
The light did little to heal her wounds, or even make her feel the slightest bit better about getting her a** handed to her, but it did fill her with a sense of strength; with a power that hadn't been part of her reach before.
Corvus didn't have long to thank her four-legged savior. Fayalite had pushed herself up again and was now swearing like a sailor, cursing everything about the Senshi of Vengeance as she readied for what looked like it might be a final charge; lantern poised and ready to attack.
The Lieutenant's charge was head on by a blast of negative energy that followed the words 'Violent Revenge' as they fell from the senshi's lips. She watched as it threw Fayalite back, knocking her into the same heap that the last attack had, complete with added force.
Then the senshi was groaning again, arm dropping back down to her middle as though that would somehow make her side stop aching. "Enough... Do you hear me, Lieutenant? Enough. For tonight..."
No matter what the Lieutenant said after, if she said anything, Corvus wouldn't respond. She would use the last of the energy she had to leap up onto the nearest fire escape, taking a limping bound from there up onto the roof where her patrol had started. Once there she pulled out her phone so that she could let Gabbie know that she was running late... And to set out some ice packs.
