• Very ill-prepared. She may remember to bring potions or pokeballs, but buying medicine to help rid her pokemon of Status effects [ I.E: Poison or Paralysis ], she always seems to forget. Sometimes she will forget to restock on potions when she only has 3 or so left.
• Mari is a bit of a brat. If she loses, she'll have a temper or she'll 'ignore' anything you say because 'her way is right'. [ She actually just seems like she's ignore you when you give adivce. She always takes most adivce to heart, unless it's to grab more potions and such. It doesn't matter how many times you tell her that, she'll forget. ]
• Despite being a brat generally, she's still human. If someone is in trouble or needs help, she'll do it. Of course, expect a scolding from her as well.
• She generally thinks that she has to do everything herself and doesn't need help from anyone. 'Depending on someone is for the weak'. Mari does know her limits though, so she will ask for help if it's absolutely needed.
• Mari isn't fond of pokemon contests, but she might join one here and there. Over all, she'd rather watch than join.
• Mari hates the pokemon gym leaders for obvious reasons.

xxxxxxxx Mari was born and raised in Junjou City where her parents had temporarily worked at the 40xcity in the Radiostation. During this time, Mari watched most of the Pokemon League fights on the television, or any fights she could catch on it. Since it was the only thing she could do [ other than going off to shop with some friends ], Mari learned to love Pokemon. Way more than she thought she would.

When she turned 10 years, she was actually depressed. That was the age most kids went on their pokemon journeys, but there was no way for her to get to the Professor in Paletine Town. She wouldn't be able to even catch a pokemon in the wild on her own since she didn't really have any means to defend herself. Pokeballs, yeah she had them. If a giant group were to attack, she wouldn't stand a chance.

She figured she'd never get the chance to become a pokemon trainer. That was, until she parents came home that night, holding a small growlithe with a red bow around his neck. Mari was filled with joy, happily taking the Growlithe and setting off on a journey.

xxxxxxxx So far, the only badge she has [ which was actually from pure luck because of her eletric type, Mareep ] is the Yunhe Badge from Izumi. It was actually also because Izumi was in a hurry to go to Romantica City for. . Well, gambling. Due to the rush and only having water types, Izumi lost. Mari doesn't care and still finds it a win, despite the circumstances.
