
Sakura gently stretched her neck out, shaking her ashen mane from one side to the other. Her rosy wings were outstretched, paused as though she was on the brink of soaring off into the horizon, yet her bright hooves were fixed firmly to the ground. Her tail swayed gently as ghostly eyes surveyed the area. What would she do today?
A chilly tang resided in the air, a constant reminder that winter still held them in her icy grip, yet the day did not seem too bad. Although the sky was overcast, giving everything a dull grey tint to it, no new snow lay on the ground. Sakura's breath fogged up the air in front of her, white whisps of moisture dissipating into the air.
Giving it a bare amount of thought, the mare began to walk. What else would warm her chilled joints? And who knew, maybe she would find a companion to walk with, and exchange some of her wise words with them.
