It's quiet a cute anime but sadly the american's did a better job then them at the orginal. In this bubbles is no where as cute as she was in the american PPG (No Z) they we're also alot younger they bet mojo jojo when they were 5 and in this they're 14/5 (?) and at times they have trouble to defeat him

I grew up with the American version, so I can easily pick out all the difference myself. However, I can realize why the changes were made over all, it's VERY Japanese now. I can't help but feel that it's sort of revenge on Japan's part, for all the butchering dubs do over here. They took our shows and made them BETTER scream of course your opinion of that can vary. As for their power, I feel they fall into that (surprisingly Western) mentality that bad people don't die, they go to jail. It is a cute anime and I can enjoy it, which is more then I can say for most dubs.

Are you in Australia? question
I feel like it's coming full circle, the original show was an American prodution, then Japan revamped it, and now it's coming back home. I'm not sure how people are going to respond to that but if I had to guess...
Older fans of the original show will hate it
Newer fans, female, will love it (especially Peach).
Newer fans, boys, will probably throw their Ben Ten action figures at the TV when it comes on and fuss about it.

I more dread how it'll likely be marketed on the US shores, since it's a very different beast from the original PPG, but since the US audiences usually have the attention span of a goldfish...

I'm pretty sure they're going to relate it to the original PPG as much as they possibly can, even though the PPGZ series was supposed to be something completely different. Then again, Cartoon Network has, what they consider, a young target audience. There is HOPE that they will keep it close to the Japanese cut of PPGZ and just accept that it's a different version. Still, I know of a land called 4Kids and they did what they did to Yu-Gi-Oh and One Piece and so on...
cry
It could go either way. They can handle it right, just accept it, and make it good! They can fight the changes, handle it wrong, butcher the edits and make it the next generation of badly dubbed animation. sweatdrop

Ok I just finished watching all of PPGZ. 1) COMPLETELY different from it's predecesor, totally different genre, you probably shouldn't compare them 2) I didn't like the ending. stressed

heart Haha. I could watch One Piece all day. I only watched the the american version of PPG. I was bored the weekend the movie hit theaters and went to go watch it. 3nodding Oh, but on the note of One Piece I really prefer the subbed Japanese version. And it seems they cut episodes from the American One Piece. I mean, my Japanese season one has like twice as many episodes, and I have 8 seasons of it. Still haven't finished it though. On season 4. heart

If you're willing to accept differences in the two series, I recommed PPGZ, it was very enjoyable overall. If you're a purist, and liked PPG then you will NOT like PPGZ.

I can vouch for at least the first season. It was a pretty enjoyable series once you got past the pilot episode's acid trip.
Though be prepared for lots of silly episodes.
